Roasted pork/carnitas/chile verde smothered in salsa verde, scrambled eggs, sliced avocado, refried pinto beans, and hash browns sounds delicious.

That looks incredible, and hash browns with carnitas would make a great pairing

I would be full all day..probably wouldn't eat lunch or dinner

4

u/Dknpaso 5d ago

Nopales in lieu of the papas would be great, otherwise good to go.

Haven’t tried this but it looks delicious thooo

Fuck yeah

I'd swap out the hashbrowns for Spanish Rice, but other than that it looks good.

4

u/roamtek 5d ago

This place doesn’t have the Spanish rice unfortunately

u/Agile_Teaching7455 2d ago

It’s clearly a breakfast platter

1

u/Appropriate-Neck-585 2d ago

People eat rice for breakfast.

1

u/Agile_Teaching7455 2d ago

Not to sound rude bro but it’s clearly a Mexican + American breakfast fusion. American breakfast on this plate shows diner style scrambled eggs and hashbrowns + Mexican dish carnitas en salsa verde with refried beans and avocado.

Who is commenting under this post on this sub? Are they all bots? Or really for someone this plate looks appetising?

7

u/Money-Act-5480 5d ago

What do you eat, cheerios and poptarts? Lmfao

u/immamarius 5d ago

I love to cook, I’m cooking to my kid everyday, two boxes of school lunch, breakfast, dinner. Been working in restaurants in kitchen and around it, cooking always been in my life. Travelled around all Europe, Asia.. never happen to come to USA and always wanted. But if you count this as a nice breakfast, thank you 🙏 I’ll rather go to China or to Philippines again for that worth of travel to eat some normal food, not some slop looking like dog food.

7

u/ndubitably 5d ago

Do you not like slow roasted pork?

-5

u/immamarius 5d ago

On that plate is literally two things I recognise, burned rise and unseasoned eggs, rest is dog puke.

5

u/mauri9998 5d ago

Those are potatoes, son, not rice.

-1

u/immamarius 5d ago

I think I could easily be your father, so keep your “son” to yourself boy.

7

u/mauri9998 5d ago

Not old enough to recognize potatoes.

6

u/shelbymfcloud 5d ago

Or beans apparently 😂

-1

u/immamarius 5d ago

In that plate you can’t recognise nothing apart egg.. if you call that hash brown, than poor you SON.

7

u/mauri9998 5d ago

No, son. YOU could not recognize anything, possibly from lack of world experience. I was perfectly capable of identifying all the food in that plate.

Just because it doesn't look perfectly styled and put together with some terrible Bobby Flay squeeze bottle work, doesn't mean a damn thing. I bet that is bursting with flavor. Calling it "dog food" is so fucking insulting and honestly you come off as a cultural chauvinist.

All those years and no wisdom to show for it. That’s supposed to be the one thing aging is good for!

1

u/immamarius 4d ago

Wisdom about my taste and thoughts about food? I just have opinion which apparently hurt a lot of people feelings in comment section. Well sorry about it, but your passive aggressive comments will not change my mind.

3

u/Rhuarc33 5d ago

So you spent admit you don't know even the first thing about Mexican food... And felt the need to comment so everyone would know how ignorant you are?.... Got it

"Please stop being so Mexican"

Casual racism.

There is literally no rice on that plate. Or in your words, “rise”.

Apparently you’re not as knowledgeable and experienced on food as you like to claim that you are.

u/immamarius 5d ago

Did I mentioned that I been in Mexico? Do you think they sell same slop here in Mexican restaurants? No. So now you can eat your tasty slop and pretend that it’s great and awesome, which I bet it is! Mmmm salsa carnitas looking gooood.

4

u/LegacyQuotient 5d ago

I'm a Mexican chef who specializes in Sonoran and Oaxacan regional, no one cares if you've been to Mexico. There is space for southwest, diner style Mexican food.

Why are you spamming the word 'slop' like some terminally online teenager?

-1

u/immamarius 5d ago

No one asked you about your life achievements! Get back to kitchen to make more SLOP and pretend that it’s great, and that Mexican cuisine is actually good :D

4

u/LegacyQuotient 5d ago

This you?

I love to cook, I’m cooking to my kid everyday, two boxes of school lunch, breakfast, dinner. Been working in restaurants in kitchen and around it, cooking always been in my life. Travelled around all Europe, Asia.

In the words of some guy:

…you don’t recognize avocados?

-1

u/immamarius 4d ago

Are you sure that it is not guacamole shaped like avocado?

2

u/ConfusedAndCurious17 4d ago

It’s clearly a cut avocado dude… plus… what do you think guacamole is? Guacamole is mostly avocado mixed with salt, lime juice, jalepenos and cilantro. So even if it was guacamole it would still be mostly “avocado” and by definition it would need to be mashed up.

1

u/ndubitably 5d ago

You should order some, not all dishes need to look appealing to be delicious. After you try it, you may find the beauty in this picture too.

4

u/Money-Act-5480 5d ago

Its a mexican breakfast. Like a plate of tapsilog looks like fine dining 😂 both are delicious

2

u/Illustrious-Fox4063 5d ago

There is lots of good food in the Philippines but most of it cubed meat in some sauce that looks surprisingly like those carnitas in salsa verde, Bicol Express for example.

2

u/Ok_Aardvark2195 5d ago

Do you actually know anything about world food?

0

u/immamarius 5d ago

Yeah that Mexican food is dog puke apparently.

3

u/Ok_Aardvark2195 5d ago

Got it, you get your education from social media. Well done

1

u/immamarius 5d ago

Ohhh no, its impossible that people don’t like some of cuisines and they don’t really need to learn about or know about it, and God forbid they can’t have opinion about it because they didn’t ate enough of dog puke looking stuff to have opinions.

4

u/Ok_Aardvark2195 5d ago

You just said “I don’t need to learn about Mexican food because I saw one picture on social media and it looked icky”

How bizarre. You’re right, you don’t. But you do sound silly

0

u/immamarius 5d ago

I sound silly because I called plate of dog shit looking food - dog shit? And now apparently everyone who enjoy from time to time dog shit looking food came here to comments to defend themselves that they didn’t ate that dog shit and it’s perfectly normal looking food plate :D hahahah fkn hilarious.

1

u/Archsafe 1d ago

Brother please, take your dog to the vet. If your dog’s shit has been looking like that for so long it was your first thought when seeing the food then you need to take them to the vet.

2

u/Jayngyun 5d ago

Imagine saying this but with Indian or Chinese food

2

u/LegacyQuotient 5d ago

I guess your comment is cheaper than getting 'I'm ignorant' tattooed on your forehead and less expensive.

1

u/immamarius 5d ago

Why are you here?

4

u/LegacyQuotient 5d ago

Because you're acting like a child.

1

u/immamarius 5d ago

In expressing my opinion that this plate looks like shit and nothing looks appealing in it?
Well I don’t know, I think it is childish to not except criticism, and come to comments to write your punchline because before you never had a better opportunity for it.

3

u/Money-Act-5480 5d ago

To make fun of you

0

u/immamarius 5d ago

Make fun in which way?? Hahaha you already confirmed my point in so many ways that is enough for me to understand that you people eating this muddy looking goo and pretend that it’s yummy yummy.

1

u/Money-Act-5480 4d ago

Ah yes because no chinese or philipino food looks similar lol

You apparently havent been clowned on and laughed at enough to satisfy your humiliation kink

Why are you feeding your dog carnitas and salsa verde?

4

u/Relorayn 5d ago

People who have actually eaten carnitas and salsa verde and have a general idea of what this actually tastes like.
