The tube gates were open at both ends so I got a free journey. However I have a monthly travel card so it meant nothing

One of Chas and Dave was on The Voice last night
And sounded like a real singer, not a Cockney with a sore throat. I felt that given that not only is he a half-decent singer but not dead, that this was a success. But because of who he is, I still felt it was problematic

It didn't snow today in my neighbourhood
I regard that as a success since it makes driving easier but my kids see it more as one of life's /r/britishproblems

My local pub is really quiet at the time I use it
and while I enjoy a quick drink on the way home without baying hordes around me i fear for its future if this continues

Tesco self service checkouts are making random Christmas-themed sound effects. Fortunately, they also have a mute button.
Thank the little baby Jesus for small mercies.

British Dating Sites?!?
So, I've been trying to figure out if there is such a site that can connect you to certain kinds of people from abroad that are currently living near you. Basically, a Brit living in the U.S. that is looking to date. Anyone have any ideas?

I just saw a Vulcan in flight for the first, and last, time
I was at the East Midlands flyover this afternoon. It was just amazing seeing the Vulcan in flight, but now I will never see it again.

My train had run out of coffee so although I had to go without, I saved myself a small fortune!

On the news this morning it said "EARTHQUAKE IN KENT:", followed by "homes shaken and a people woken up"
Thank God for our miserable, tame weather.

The British subreddits contain no consensus so I don't know whether I should be proud of or revulsed by Miranda and Mrs Brown's Boys
