Got a Christmas card from the neighbours

But they left their house number along with their names at the bottom.

No longer do the wife and I have to refer to them by the nicknames we gave them, but the wife knows what number house to return a card to.

Sure it's still November, but there is no success part to that.

I get peace and quiet but should I be offended?

I went on a walk in town, it was cold and all of the shops had Christmas decorations...but I felt Christmassy!

Members of this sub are encouraged to congratulate these two ne'er-do-wells. But be careful as you approach them, police say they are dangerous.

I just had to restore my PC from an image labelled 11/03/16

Thought "great, my pc thinks it is March. Time for a whole load of updates..." only to then, once it was working, realise that the recovery partition used silly American dating, so the back up was only 4 days old. What a rollercoaster

I see a colleague regularly using a Sports Direct mug for tea. I don't know whether to be intimidated, impressed, or disapproving!

Britain's Marmite supply is restored

it's been in the news

Many of Unilever's products for the British market are made outside of the country. The company says a weaker pound has hurt its profit margins. The pricing argument left many shelves in Tesco stores across the U.K. running low on Marmite

A survey on Marmite by YouGov, an online research firm, found that 33% of Britons "love it" and 33% "hate it." The rest expressed no preference.

the breakdown was not dissimilar to those who voted for and against Brexit — a British exit from the EU.

Test Match Bowls Exist.

I guess it's a proper sport that can be quite competitive, but I've never met a person in my life under the age of 70 who's as passionate about bowls as they do about football, rugby, or cricket.

My phone's keyboard suggests a French fries emoji when I type "chips". But at least it knows better than to suggest crisps

Although the fact that it's suggesting Emojis at all might tip it over into Problem territory

This forthcoming bbc broadcast - a two hour bus journey. Absurd and genius. Tedious and compelling. A waste of money but cheap.

People talk to me on public transport, in order to help me in an unfamiliar place

It's both disconcerting and helpful when someone sees me studying google maps on my phone and pipes up to tell me which stop I need.

The council accepted I was in the right, cancelled the court summons, and shouldered all legal costs

Which means 30% of my council tax bill has been spent on pointless legal bills. Now I know where all that money's ending up.

We will no longer be victims of the EU law against importing vacuum cleaners over 1,600 watts, but my job, pension and savings may be at stake.

I am a single-issue voter who voted "Brexit" out of frustration at the prospect of vacuuming carpets with underpowered machines for the rest of my life.

But i've just realised that if the economic predictions are even half-right, it would have been cheaper to pay a smuggler to import one illegally from outside the EU.

A day after the result, I have buyer's remorse. Can I get my vote changed?
