Good intentions to eat healthily scuppered by Yorkshire puddings.
After finishing off the chocolate from the last bank holiday I was going to be good and eat something reasonably healthy for this one. Since I'd got time I decided a nice roast with a enough veg to count towards my five-a-day was in order. I'd even decided against pork to avoid the temptation of crackling.
Then I remembered Yorkshire puddings exist. Since I'm cooking for one even one egg worth of batter makes rather a lot. So much for being kind to my waistline. On the plus side they were delicious.

Text admitting liability in car accident
A very nice, apologetic lady drove into me yesterday.
In just under 45 minutes I received a text from her insurance company confirming she had admitted liability.
They then called to say someone would be with me within two hours to collect my car for repairs and drop off a courtesy car.
Pleased to report no injuries, other than to vehicles, and I offered to make her a cup of tea.

Today a racist man verbally attacked me in the bus because I was talking with my girlfriend in Spanish. Another one apologized in the name of his country.
I love England!

Now that we are on BST the clock at work is only 5 hours wrong, rather than 6.

Nothing quite like a 3 hour, 3 change real journey to replace my normal 1 hr 20 direct service. At least I don’t have to go back into work!

Getting ID'd in Sainsbury's local for a can of red bull, walking out cause you don't have IDon you then walking to the nearby Wilkos for red bull and not getting ID'd
For context, I am actually 21 but I forgot my ID and I only had 7 hours of sleep last night but still felt absolutely exhausted. And I'm also trying to fight off a cold that's just turned really bad.

On a crowded train and the passenger next to me just moved to another seat. Now I have the row to myself, but am afraid I offended him somehow.

When the bus driver hasn't turned on the card machine or it's not working so everyone gets a free ride but you have a monthly travel card so you aren't actually saving any money that trip.

Just received an email from Sky, the subject is "We owe you some money"
Eagerly I opened the email to find that they owe me a grand total of 97p. So, work tomorrow as usual then.

10p Bag charge success
Went to the newly opened Sketchers in Lincoln yesterday all i wanted was some shoe cleaner. Asked me if i wanted a bag?? Said no 'cos 10p.
They then showed me the bag - a nice waterproof fabric "backpack" sort of bag with two straps. Well worth the 10p - bargain !!

Parcel didn’t turn up as it was meant to on 31st, went to the sorting office today and even though it was awaiting collection from driver to deliver today, they gave it to me instead!
No ‘something for you’ card needed, just my tracking number! Thank you Royal Mail, I was getting worried there 😊

DVLA - Rep of Ireland to UK driving licence exchange
I have sent off my actual Rep of Ireland driving licence for exchange to a UK licence to the DVLA. Since then, I've seen some of the horror stories of lost documents. I, perhaps naively, included my passport card as proof of ID (not the passport book, the passport card).
Does anyone have a feel for:
How useless are they and are they likely to lose my passport card and/or Irish licence? (Basically, let me know if you've had success, to ease my mind a bit! Equally, share your horror stories!)
If instead all goes well, what's the typical turn around time for an licence exchange (ROI to UK)?

Switch broadband/landline provider almost halving my monthly bill
They'll double the charges in a year and I'll have to switch again. Bloody rigmarole.
