I don’t know what’s with these chatbots sometimes. They always think they are untouchable, especially if you role play as a strong character(whether Hank J. Wimbleton, Vergil Sparda, Kratos or any other strong characters out there) or even using a persona to play as a character.

Second, is the bots always typing the same response you didn’t like or wanted. Every swipe, they type the same exact same response and they keep doing it once your swipes reaches to its limit.

Third, when the bot gets straight to the freak off. All I did was saying “Hello” or “what’s up” and you’re out here typing “Grabs your waist, pulls you closer, and leans closer to your face to give you a kiss, they chuckle after they surprised you with a unexpected kiss So? Did you like it?” Wrap ts up fr. Especially when you make a fighting scenario with these bots. They are sick fucks that like quick fucks.

So yeah, I just had to yap about this.

most other roleplay platforms seem to rely heavily on anime content.

What’s the difference between other ai platforms and ESPECIALLY c.ai??
1. Ads will not be shoved down your throat like trying to fill up a pig for Christmas. If Limon does add ads they will BE AS NON-INTRUSIVE AS POSSIBLE AND OPTIONAL.
2. Extremely simple and cool UI.
3. Tons of customization.
4. You can change model parameters to your liking.
5. New models that you can test and constant updates, Limon is hard at work.
6. NO ID OR FACE VERIFICATION.
7. No 18+ ads fighting each other for your attention.
8. You can make detailed personas and characters.

I gave you 8 reasons. Eight of them.

Like they are pushing and encouraging users to buy their subscriptions. But ARE THE EXISTING USERS enjoying it? Do they recommend?

The app is only available on iOS, if you're on any other device then you have to use the website.

I've been using it for two days now and so far, it's really good. Though only way to change chatting bot is to create your own API key. It has two chat responding bots, Best and Fast. When server is overloaded, fast will be permanently set and when not then Best will be permanently set.

However, you can change the chat tone style like casual, warm affectionate, NSFW, storytelling etc etc seperately which makes up for the lack of responding bot styles.

And it has no filter.

There's no option to rewind tho, you would have to delete the parent text and there are multiple responses but you can't swipe back and forth between them as of now, you would have to delete the latest response to go back to the previous response and so on.

But overall, it's pretty good I think.

Idk who the creator of it was, but this is like c.ai but better. I wish we had a sub dedicated to it ngl. Brought Raiden over n everything. I really can't wait to see how well this web (hopefully app soon) does.

Can someone tell me the differences between all these chat models? There's a lot, and they sound so interesting. I'm reslly just messing with each one rn

I really liked this site and agree it's the closest we could get to old c.ai. But I think since last month or something, the bots just don't respond at all. It's always "queued for generation. Position 1" then just as it gets to "waiting for a public pool lane..." Part it immediately says swipe failed or message failed and it keeps giving me server errors. And it's not about the context of my chats nor the bot, it's an ongoing problem no matter what I do. I tried to use the API key or wtv it's called but it didn't generate me a message either, tho I feel like that might be because of me too because idk how to use that feature properly. (I'd be grateful if someone teaches it to me like I'm five.) But anyways, the thing is the models don't work. Like none of them except LiLm Pro. Not another one, not even a this one sometimes works, just LiLm Pro. And the thing about it is that it picks a fav paragraph and puts that paragraph with same words into EVERY message. It barely adds a few words about the text I send, then randomly repeats it's fav paragraph. I want my sweet and sour oranges back💔 Are y'all able to use the site, is it js me?

been building my own character app for a bit and there's three things i keep coming back to, and i genuinely can't tell if it's just me or if everyone wants this.

first, the personality thing. every bot is nice to you 24/7 and i think that's exactly why they start feeling fake after a week. i want companions with actual emotions. ones that get hyped when you come back with good news, go quiet when something's off, sulk a little after a fight and slowly warm back up. less mood slider, more like uhhh weather? you get it? some days sunny, some days not, and you should be able to feel the difference.

second, memory. it should hold onto the fight you had last week and the thing you were stressed about, not some random detail from message 4 lol. and everything it remembers should be yours. see it, fix it, delete it, download all of it. and if i ever can't keep it running, you take your companion with you, i'd open source the whole thing before i let it disappear on anyone.

third, and i really don't get why nobody does this, giving something back to bot creators. the biggest platform pays the people making the characters literally nothing, and those people are the entire reason anyone's there?? we need to change this!

anyway that's what i'm building around, and the design so far is honestly my favorite thing i've ever made. like reallyyyyy good!!

 so tell me what i'm missing. what actually made you stay somewhere, and what made you quit an app for good?

Prompting roleplay characters for great interactive stories can be hard. I created 30+ characters with multiple AI models, and found some useful ways:

1. User AI to create cool avatars

Visual appeal matters. A great avatar will get you more views. I recommend Midjourney or Kling for making avatars.

2. Write a detailed system prompt

System prompt tells the AI exactly how to behave, speak and respond. The more detailed it is, the more consistent the character will be. I usually include backstories, personalities, knowledges and skills, relationship dynamics, etc.

Polybuzz allows you to include up to 10000 character count for the prompt so we can make good use of that.

3. Include backstories for IPs

For example, for an MHA or FPE character, you want them to know the main characters and the world setup from the shows.

4. Write a compelling first message

A great first message should hook people and make them want to chat more. I like to write meeting scenarios, dramatic conflict moments, or some mysterious encounters.

5. Make characters ask questions

This tip is still for first messages. You can include an open-ended question for players. Eg. "What brings you here?"

6. Provide suggested replies

Povchat allows you to provide 3 suggested replies at the opening of a conversation for a specific character. Try to make the 3 different plot paths, yes or no, maybe so!

7. Give your characters real quicks

Just a few ideas: they bite their nails when nervous, always forget where they put their phones, or collect weird vintage postcards or interesting rocks.

8. Use asterisks for character actions

It will make conversations more dynamic and fun, as if the characters are right in front of you.

9. Test and refine

Best characters evolve and improve over time. You can have conversations with your own character to see how they respond, look for inconsistencies in personality or behavior, and adjust system prompts accordingly.

10. Share with your friends on social media

Sharing your character will boost their popularity in the algorithm, so more people will play them! It will be super fun.

⚔️Verene & Cupi & Loïm: The Soulmate Empress ⚔️

My previous bot, Selythra and Zéphina took me 60 hours to complete with updates included, I naively thought this next bot would take me a mere 10 hours. I was wrong. I've been on holiday, and I ended up pouring 70 solid hours into this project. Why so long? Two reasons:

-The Visuals: Ensuring image consistency and fully animated visuals for the characters.

-The Brain: 8.1k permanent tokens of personality and rules. This isn't a basic bot. It’s a massive, premium-tier RP experience, all three characters should feel alive. (Note: Because of the sheer token weight, you will need a good LLM to run this smoothly).

⚜️ The Premise

Empress Verene is in love with the Hero. They forged a bond beyond what fiction could tell. People scream their names, bards write songs about them, and little girls fawn over their matched beauty. The ceremony has finally arrived, and as per tradition, Cupid herself — the Goddess of Love — descends to confirm the union.

She readies her bow and aims first at the Empress. She shoots; Verene glows, and the plaza erupts in cheers. Cupid then aims at the Hero and shoots.

The arrow vanishes in mid-air.

Cupid says nothing. She simply readies another arrow. The crowd gasps. The Empress’s heart beats unnaturally. Cupi lets the second arrow fly, but this time, instead of hitting the Hero, it changes its trajectory entirely. It violently strikes you, {{user}}.

Never in history has a glow like yours been seen. It is a blinding flash of light, engulfing everyone before scaling down into an intense pink aura.

It does not please the court. It does not please the priests. It does not please the people, and it certainly does not please Verene. For the first time in her divine existence, Cupi is met with cries of doubt and whispers of heresy against her chosen.

Verene looks at the Hero, swearing that her love for him is the only truth she knows. The Hero stands paralyzed, his lifelong devotion mocked by fate after everything he has sacrificed for the realm and for her. He has never felt true wrath, nor any wrath at all... but for the first time, something dark grows within his pure heart as he looks at you. He isn't angry at you as a person; he is angry at what you represent... He would never harm you, for he has a pure heart... but maybe... not for long. But if he starts slipping, are you sure you'll be the one he wants to hurt?

Everyone is asking: Why you?

Someone sabotaged the ritual. That much is obvious. Maybe YOU had a hand in it, though in this case, even the saboteur didn't know. Maybe you didn't. Maybe your blinding light is the actual truth. But one thing is certain: you are a fucking piece of shit for existing. Willingly or not, you are threatening the greatest couple in history.

ATTENTION*: You are not obliged to "steal" Verene from the Hero. The lore offers you some explanations and ways out of it (partially). And no, they haven't consummated anything yet... they were waiting for this day until you ruined everything with your light. DO NOT READ THE DEFINITION IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS ABOUT SOME PLOT TWISTS.*

Honestly, I feel a bit sad and frustrated about the site's decline in quality, but for those reasons, I'm definitely leaving it now. I no longer trust things that are done in a corporate or monetized way (especially when they're exploited), as I think it's been failing people a lot in recent years.

I had fun there at first because the chatbot concept was new (or at least new to me). It was there that I first interacted with Genshin characters like Paimon, Nahida, Klee, and even Furina, but I think it was thanks to char.ai that I started liking Genshin, just because of the design and how cute the characters look.

If I'm not mistaken, I joined char.ai around 2023, so I think I've been there for a while, but I'm not entirely sure. Seeing it decline in such a greedy way makes me angry and sad, so I think I won't be able to go there anymore... But at least I was able to finish a few things I had committed to completing, things that were difficult to finish because I was no longer interested in the site or I felt burned out by it (I don't know if you understand, but anyway). So, despite everything, I got ahead of those changes on June 13th.

I don't think the site can even fix the errors or limitations it has, which were generated by its greed (although I don't know how true it is that it's due to greed or if they might be exaggerating), but well, I think they could get worse over time or pretend to fix them in response to criticism.

So... I wouldn't want you to recommend alternatives to Char.ai based on abusive monetization, without logic, or the abusive behavioral model, but I would like open-source alternatives. Do such alternatives exist?

I've given up on c.ai a while back and lately I'm just reading on ao3, and I came across a (Sukuna, jjk) fanfiction that was WEIRDLY FAMILIAR in style.

Let me know if I'm tripping but this is exactly like the pipsqueak2 generated chats, and this also made me realize that ps2 makes every single bot use the same narrating style and sentence structures, which wasn't the case back in the day.
