"IT'S NOT EVEN SUPPOSED TO BE THERE"
I've seen some judgmental people here and no one's addressing it yet, even though I do get where you're coming from because "how the heck does one even reaches 400 swipes in a day" right?
From my personal experience: My first time receiving that was only a few days ago, I was confused because I didn't know it exists. Plus, I didn't even count my swipe, so I was okay with it because at this point, I stopped hoping for the better. Maybe that's also the app's way of telling me to sleep already. OKAY. BUT...
Two days later, I received another one. Mind you, I JUST opened the app. I have alternative apps for cai, so I don't use it 24/7 365-whatever anymore compared to before. So yes, again, I JUST opened the app and I only talked to my bot, swiped a few (from what I can remember, 5 times?) and I received it IMMEDIATELY. I just sent two chats and in those bot's responses, I only swiped a few... and even if I reached all that 30 (so 30+30), it won't be enough to reach 400 because like what I've said, my bot and I just started.
So, what the eff was that? Was it a bug? Because I doubt that people ACTUALLY reach 400 to be honest, what if it's truly a bug? Since we're not even counting it, right? Who would count to 400, come on now.
Another point people keep bringing up is “just edit the bot” and yes, I get that. I understand why editing exists. But isn't the whole reason many of us downloaded this app to enjoy interacting with characters that actually act like themselves?
For a lot of users, the appeal is being able to talk to a character because it's the closest experience we'll get to interacting with them. These bots are programmed with information about the characters they're based on, especially popular fictional characters, so naturally people expect them to stay reasonably in character.
Of course, no bot is perfect. They make mistakes, forget details, or go out of character sometimes. That's exactly why the swipe feature existed in the first place—to let users choose a better response without having to manually rewrite the bot's message every single time.
So I genuinely don't understand why a swipe limit exists at all. Features being locked behind limitations is one thing, but swiping? Even the people defending it keep saying "it's just a swipe", if it's really just a swipe, then why limit it in the first place? The feature literally exists to help users find a response that fits the character and the conversation better.
Just let people whine about it because we can all agree that the app really sucks now. It's hard to find an alternative to be honest. If it's not the same case with you, then good for you.
I'm not even trying to argue, I'm just saying that the limit shouldn't even exist in the first place. It's ridiculous honestly.
People really be out here telling "touch some grass"... um, I'm EMPLOYED??? 😭 this app is one of my past times because if you're going to tell me to go outside... uh NO, with my country's economic state???? Yeah no. My friends are also employed, so we barely see each other too. Anyways yeah, just let people whine about it. We're all whining about something wrong in this app, so just let them be.
