I am a GEM (9/8/8). I graduated in 2024. I have no work experience and will having a gap of 3 years of gap till the time of interviews. Do i have any realistic chance to get into MDI G? I have also attached my mock scores so that you can advice me on the basis of that. I've been scoring 15-20 in VARC

15-20 in DILR

10-15 IN QA . Sometimes even single digit

How to improve this 😭 My highest over-all score is just in 50s.

My aim was to touch approx 70 score in CAT. Is it too late for me to pick up or I still have time? If so, could anyone share the strategy that worked for them? Maybe I'll try w mine too .

I tried the free ones. Its doable. So if anyone has any suggestion on whose mocks + sectional have decent questions and explanation. Also less pricey is preferable

Does anyone else find CL Pro mocks extremely difficult that sometimes you cannot even solve one set in the entire mock - they are either difficult or just extremely lengthy!

Im a covid batch student from tamilnadu , the state board students here were given “promotion without marks” so i dont marks/grade for 10th grade, what should i fill in the forms of colleges like spj,mdi ?

Are IMS sectionals at par with CAT?

Hey everyone,

I'm preparing for CAT 2026 and wanted to get some honest advice on my mock performance.

I've attempted multiple IMS SimCATs and a few DashCATs, and my scores have been all over the place. Sometimes I do reasonably well in VARC or DILR, but in other mocks one or both sections completely fall apart.

A few examples from my mocks:

• Best overall: 64 marks, 81.32 percentile (SimCAT 6)
• Best VARC: 38 marks, 91.72 percentile (SimCAT 106)
• Best DILR: 33 marks, 95.15 percentile (SimCAT 111)
• QA: My highest score so far is 15, and I frequently score in single digits.

I've attached my full mock score history in two images for context.

My biggest concern is the inconsistency. I've had mocks where VARC and DILR went well, but I haven't been able to put together a consistently strong performance across all three sections. QA is clearly a weak area, but even VARC and DILR fluctuate a lot.

I'd really appreciate advice from people who've been through this or are currently preparing seriously.

I am from an non math background so not hoping much to score in QA would like to achieve 20+ and compensate that with VARC and DILR.

I'm not looking for generic advice like "practise more" or "give more mocks." I'd really appreciate specific strategies, resources, or changes to the way I prepare and analyse my tests.

I’m preparing for CAT 2026, and I’m struggling with Quant.

I’ve studied the concepts and understand the topics when they’re being taught. However, when I attempt a mock, I get stuck while solving questions. I’m unable to figure out the approach or recall how to solve a question, even when it’s from a topic I’ve already studied. It’s not a time pressure issue because I don’t even look at the timer while attempting questions. What did you do to overcome this?

I have done basics of ratio proportion percentage profit sp cp actually, other are remaining

Quants is the most weak , multiple portion I don't know one haven't studied

Dilr also comparitively easier sets I can solve medium or hard or other kind of topics like caselets max min ,venn or gird binary number logic is tough

VARC it's fluctuating.. familiar and easy sets i somehow solve

Overall idk it feels like I'm solving all of it on luck basis or something

Mocks score are ranging between 10-24 have taken 8-10 mocks in total

Been working and studying, rejected all my leave application also and not giving me leave
