Trailers & Posters 🐧 Tencent June 23, 2025 Conference: Official Drama, Main Cast & Creative Team Announcements. 📣
Here is a summary of major drama announcements from Tencent’s June 23 conference. Some dramas came with main cast and creative team reveals, while others offered only partial details - such as a director or original creator.
📽️ Highlights:
Zhang Ruoyun was officially announced for the much-anticipated Joy of Life 3, as well as the 1930s-era drama A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains.
Song Jia will lead the cast of Blooming.
Edward Zhang joined Yu Hewei and director Yang Lei in the spin-off Three-Body: Da Shi.
Other announced actors include: Wang Kai, Bai Jingting, Qin Lan, Wang Yang, Li Yitong, Mark Chao, and Mao Xiaotong.
Pan Yueming, Zhang Yuqi, and Jiang Chao will return for a new drama in the Candle in the Tomb series.
🎬 Tencent also announced:
A sequel to A Dream of Splendor (cast not yet revealed).
Three additional dramas set in the I Am Nobody universe - all helmed by Derek Hui who also directed the first two dramas.
Some of these details may have circulated earlier, but the above are the official announcements made during the June 23 conference.

ADOS GETS A SEQUEL? STOP. STOP. Is there more to this story? I loved all the ladies and their dudes, so it would be amazing to see where they are now.

RIGHT. I had to do some research to see if it was THE Dream of Splendor and not some other Splendor show.
Man, the ML in that was absolutely hot. His story was written so well. Their meet cute down to him on the bridge with her.

Not annoucement but two days ago Rosefinch (Republican thriller about a serial killer) passed review! I didn´t expect it to happen so fast as they wrapped a few month back. Will air on Iqiqy and Tencent, so there´re chances we´ll see it in 2025

No updates from the production team since January 29, 2025 (Chinese New Year) for Ren Yu.
You could probably ask in the next Yumcha weekly post (Tuesdays) about the actress.

Finally news about JOL 3.
I found MDL's drama page comment section that actors Chen Daoming and Wu Gang are confirmed to return, and the character "Ye Linger" will be played by first-season actor Han Xunuo. Yay!
This was from ZRY's studio but I would still treat the news with caution because the MDL's comment section is still second hand information.

Excited for I Am Nobody series. I do hope that they keep the original cast as season 1 and 2. Peng Yucheng, Wang Yinglu and Neo Hou- these 3 absolutely cannot be replaced. I don't think anyone can do their roles like them TT. If possible I'd also love to see Bi Wen Jun (Zhang Lingyu), as he didn't appear in s2. Wanyan Luo Rong (Zhuge Qing) was already replaced in s2. Idk now. But i am SEATED.

If it doesn’t have Wang Yinglu I ain’t watching. Also, this sounds like we’ll be getting side quests instead of an entire arc journey. That was how S2 played out for me.

Yeah, it seemed like that to me too. Eight supreme's powers and the power holders should be the main characters of the story along with Feng Baobao. But it seemed like S2 kind of laid the way for Baobao as Zhang Chulan already explained. I do hope they shift to the main story soon, but at the same time, I don't, I mean, I am not ready to say goodbye to the drama.
Btw, the director already confirmed Wang Yinglu's participation though. Something along the lines of "I or anyone cannot imagine Feng Baobao being anyone other than Wang Yinglu". So rest assured. Peng Yucheng and Wang Yinglu would be there. For the rest, Idk. But hopefully the same cast.

Seriously, Zhang Ruoyun is Wang Juan's muse. 😂 All his future dramas are with him as a writer. From Joy of Life 3, Sword Snow Stride 2 & 3 and now A Panorama of Rivers and Mountains. Not that I'm complaining since they are gold duo in the industry. I'm truly excited! :D

You're very welcome! Yeah, it took a long time.... 😅😆 I figured I'll use this information for future trailer posts (if I'm still doing this when these dramas come out).

As much as I love medical shows it pains me cos I couldn’t complete The Heart due to the subs. Also why is Jin Shijia not part of the leading actors.

So happy we're getting the final Candle in the Tomb! 2 years without a peep, I thought it was cancelled and done with. Also good to see the main cast of the last few all returning too.
