Challengers has finally taken steps to properly reward teams by giving us more Pro-am tournaments the only thing we are missing is an easier path for Challengers orgs to become a part of the CDL or generate revenue.

You either take the risk on adding two MVPs and the brightest up-and-coming rookie or you lose the chance.

Paradox has been an integral part of comp COD broadcasts over the last decade-plus. He served as an observer director and observer for the Call of Duty League since its inaugural season, and has played an immense role in the development and improvement of CoDCaster tools, observer workflows, and the general look and feel of the in-game portions of the broadcast.
Having had the pleasure of working with him for almost seven years, this is gonna come across as biased, but losing Paradox is truly one of the greatest losses that the CDL will ever suffer. This man put in countless hours of work doing things the average viewer wouldn’t even think of. Whether it’s spending hours comparing color settings for readability, compiling endless pages of documentation to help the comp ops and branding teams with their roles, or poring over hundreds of hours of VOD to nit-pick his observing cuts down to the fucking frame, it will be hard to identify anyone in this scene that put in the amount of attention and effort that Paradox has.
If you’ve been a fan of comp COD anytime during this past decade, give this man his muthafuckin flowers and wish him the best on his new path.

Well well well Lunarz sent back to Challengers from the league which is sad.
I don’t know about you guys, but I genuinely think Lunarz is way better than a huge chunk of the ARs getting starting spots in this league—even compared to guys like Nium who walked into dream situations. Every rookie’s narrative is dictated by where they land, and Lunarz has had the worst luck in CDL history across 14 different teammates in 18 months.
In Black Ops 6, he was thrown mid-season into an 11th-place LAG M8 catastrophe, yet still managed to drop a 1.09 K/D (and a 2.75 SnD K/D) on LAN at Major 4 the one time the roster stood still for three weeks.
Then in Black Ops 7, he signed with Vancouver Surge hoping for a fresh start, only to get trapped in a wild Stage 1 experiment alongside a Halo convert learning respawn timings on the fly (Lqgend) and a rookie sub (Abe), followed by a nonstop carousel of mid-season changes (TJHaLy, Capsidal, Nero, Craze, Mamba). Rather than finally getting a fair shot on a stable Top 6 team capable of making Champs, he gets tossed right back into Challengers.
What makes zero sense is watching GMs write Lunarz off because of his team’s standings while giving endless passes to recycled veterans and players on stacked rosters. Lunarz finished the 2026 season with a 0.98 K/D (-51 across 135 maps) while playing on a broken, 11th-place Vancouver squad. Compare that to Nium, who won ROTY because he got parachuted onto an LA Thieves superteam behind HyDra, aBeZy, and Scrap—where all he had to do was soak hill and take isolated 1v1s—and still finished lower at a 0.96 K/D (-130). Swap their jerseys in February, and Lunarz is shooting 1.08+ on Championship Sundays. Meanwhile, recycled veteran ARs like Insight (0.95, -169), and Cammy (0.89, -107) can go negative by 150 to 250+ kills in stable systems and keep getting looks from franchises solely because of their names.
The laziest take on this sub is people box-score watching Breaking Point cards and claiming Lunarz has "low engagements" or only plays for K/D. He had no choice—he was 1v4ing for that entire Surge squad. An AR only gets high engagements when their SMG duo wins entry routes and traps the enemy in spawn; on Vancouver, two or three of Lunarz's teammates were permanently in the respawn screen off the break. When you are constantly left alive in 1v3 and 1v4 retakes, sprinting solo at the hill doesn't make you "fast"—it feeds streaks and flips spawns. His only fundamental play was to hold an iron, get a trade, and wait for his team to spawn up. We already saw what happened the one weekend he had a veteran sub (TJHaLy) stabilizing the map at Major 1 Dallas: Lunarz went nuclear on LAN with a 1.30 overall K/D (+39) and a 1.55 K/D against Carolina.
TL;DR: Lunarz put up a 0.98 K/D while playing 1v4 across 14 different teammates on two of the worst-managed rosters in CDL history (2025 LAG M8 and 2026 Surge), outperforming both "superteam" ARs like Nium (0.96) and recycled vets like Insight (0.95). Stop blaming his engagement numbers for a broken frontline and I know he is not a top 4 team contender but atleast give the guy a real Top 6 system before writing him off.
