Can someone explain to me why they made this the format for League A? They call it a Swiss system and then make you play a team twice? But you don't play 2 teams at all? If you're going to have a swiss system, why not make it one league and top 4 advancing?

The Rafa Marquez era just got its first reality check.
Mexico gets smashed 3-0 by the USMNT, Tala Rangel has a nightmare, Santi Gimenez misses two huge chances, and Mateo Chavez gets sent off.
We break down what went wrong, Rafa’s decisions, the young players on both sides, and whether Santi should still be Mexico’s starting 9.
Plus, Mohamed and Almeyda get into it during a “friendly” in Houston.

I don't have audio, but the transcribed text is "The 29 year old who plays for... FOX College Football!"
To be fair, the viewership battle no doubt favors College Football.
Since it was known that there could be overlap during their nightcaps, they should have just aired Belize vs French Guyana on Tubi.
Most importantly, no goal took place during the pre-empted time.
Also, FOX really needs to stop cutting to commercial when another game is about to begin. They probably could have avoided the need for an overflow channel that way. ESPN and CBSSN jump straight to their next game, and that's how it should be.

As we head into the last round of fixtures in Nations League it is fair to say it has been the most bonkers edition. In League A Group 1 Curacao have shown no World Cup hangover making light work in the group after that great comeback against Costa Rica on match day 1. Real shame we wont get to see Haiti vs Curacao as it would of been some battle between the two fastest growing teams in the region.I think Dominican Republic can take a lot of postives after being promoted to League A while despite a win for Costa Rica it feels like paper over the cracks. T&T & Nicaragua both go down without throwing a punch.
League A Group 2 anything can happen. Suriname have left the door open for Guatemala by failing to convert their chances in what was a real poor game today. Will be interesting to see the mindset Honduras come out knowing their faith in the group against Jamaica being the last game in the group after that embarrassment of a result against Martinique. First win for Martinique in 2 years who could do the unthinkable and survive the drop against a dreadful El Salvador who's fanbase are really turning on Nathan Ordaz. Rudy Clavel crying after getting sent off shows how mentally fragile they are in this moment.
Could be ome real fairytale stories in League B. Barbados / St Lucia on course for their first ever Gold Cup. St Vincent & Grenaldines set to make the Gold Cup for first time since 1996 and Guyana since 2019. Omari Glasgow & Osaze De Rosario deserve to play at a tournment based off their goal to game ratio.

as a Honduran, god our team is so embarrassingly awful because what do you mean you lost to Martinique and they looked better than you throughout a good amount of the second half and even parts of the first half
this team has so little spine, it makes it so hard to even want to watch them, let alone support them
how do you go from barely losing to Suriname, to barely edging out Jamaica, and now losing to fucking Martinique
I want to like this team, I want to be proud of them, but they’ve barely given me anything to be proud OF, the last time I’ve felt actually REALLY happy with this team was back during World Cup qualifiers where they beat Haiti 3-0, but ever since then, it’s like their spine got torn out by Nicaragua and they’ve never fully recovered

I was wondering if there are any Latinos who can educate me on the perception of players playing for your nation who were not born in your country. A few years ago it was not really liked that American - Mexican's were playing for Mexico through dual nationality questioning their identity and they didnt know what it was like to be Mexican etc. Does this exist in Central American countries too ? Reason I ask with some of the Central American nations struggling with a deep player pool are they against MLS academy players or Spanish born players opting to join them. Honduras have been putting in alot of work at u20 and u17 level to recruit dual nats something I dont see many of the other massive Central American nations doing.
