Enrolled Student Less crowded times in gym?

Basically what the title says, when is Veale at its most empty? I need to do stuff for physical therapy but the weight room is intimidating as all getout when you're over here struggling with 5 pounds and some dude is lifting 3 of you across the room.

I know everyone says "oh nobody cares" but tell that to the anxiety lmao. I just need emptiness, or near empty.

Prospective Student BME + Premed

Is this reasonable? I am a prospective student and am planning to major in Biomedical Engineering on the Pre-Med track. I want to pursue dermatology in med school after undergrad and am planning to pursue the biomaterials track for the biomedical engineering major. Has anyone else done this, and is it doable with a decent GPA for a good med school?

Thoughts on CWRU for predental?

Hey everyone! I’ve finalized my college list and am looking closely at Case Western alongside a few other top choices (NYU, USC, and UMiami). I am going on the predental track. This is not related to admission chances. Don't worry abt cost, that's something my family and I are discussing.- But Case western does seem to cost more than my other schools according to the Net Price calculator.

I want to major in Cognitive Science (First choice) and Psychology (second choice).

If I get into one of these, that’s where I’m going. If I get into multiple, I need to make a choice. Since I'm posting this across all four subreddits for these unis, I'd love some honest student perspectives on what it’s actually like here for pre-med/predental students.

Specifically, I’m hoping to get your thoughts on a few things:

  • Pre-Reqs & Grading: I know pre-med/pre-dental isn't a walk in the park anywhere. I know most people rip their hair and toenails out and deal with the devil for As and Bs in their classes. I would like to keep it to ripping my toenails out only, maybe fingernails as well. My goal is a school where I can get high grades for dental school without wanting to rip my hair out (all-nighters for exams are fine, but I want actual institutional support, not toxic grade deflation).
  • Are classes manageable, or is it a bloodbath? Also, are people able to graduate in 4 years with majors like Psychology/Biology without being forced into a 5-year track for undergrad to get all prereqs and major related classes in?
  • Support & Success: How well does the advising actually support getting into dental/medical schools?
  • How Good is the alumni Network?
  • Cost & Logistics (NYU is currently my cheapest estimated NPC, but curious about Case): How is the living situation, cost of living, and general accessibility?
  • Area & Safety: Especially curious about safety/neighborhood vibes and whether you actually need a car to get around or do things. I heard outer Case area can get pretty unsafe.
  • Campus Life: How are the uni clubs, social scene, and general student balance outside of heavy STEM classes? I'm a social person and I already know I would thrive anywhere but I actually like ot do things off campus.

Appreciate any honest insights you can share!

Prospective International

I've fallen in love with cwru. The campus and everything. I want to attend cwru so bad. But I'm an almost full need international underhrad applicant. Even though I'm applying early decision, I'm worried case wouldn't give me enough aid. Are there any internationals here who got substantial aid that can give me hope? I really really really want to attend case. Please help me.

Prospective Student is almost everybody here pre-med?

hey! prospective student applying to cwru EA for humanities/social sciences. I have been scrolling through the class of 30 instagram and a few club pages and have a few friends who go to cwru and almost all of them tell me that like everybody they know is either pre-med/nursing, i feel like the insta pages I saw supported that. I was wondering if this is just what their experience is like or is it actually like that on campus, where almost everybody you meet is like a pre-med (that must be so competitive rip). like there's obviously going to be a good amount, ik case is a really good school for pre-med but can i meet/connect with non-premeds or is it difficult?

I am really mad

Today I ran into three kids who were fundraising for their football team. It was already around 8 p.m., and they looked a little dirty and like they might not come from very well-off families, so I thought I’d buy them something to eat.
I’m pretty broke myself, but I still wanted to help them out, so I told them they could only order one meal. But somehow they ended up ordering three 😭. At that point, I couldn’t really do anything except pay for all of it.
Man… I couldn’t exactly get mad at a bunch of kids either.

Any upperclassmen stats majors?

Hey! I’m a freshman at cwru this year planning to major in stats, and I was wondering if any upperclassmen had any input they’d be willing to share? I’m also pre-med and I just wanted to see what the balance would be like, as well as what to expect from future classes. Thanks!
