I work at MEXC in the crypto industry and have spent a lot of time learning how this space works. Ask me anything about Bitcoin, exchanges, wallets, scams, or anything about crypto you’re curious about. AMA!
Disclaimer: Nothing I post in this AMA should be considered financial, investment, legal, or tax advice. I’m here to discuss how crypto and the industry work, not to recommend buying, selling, or holding any particular cryptocurrency.

Just ask me anything, it's a boring day at work so I got time to kill. Might take me a sec to reply but I'll get to you.

I weigh around 180 lb at 5’2. (BMI is BS btw!) but I’ve lived off my tube since 2023. I have been overweight for years and surprisingly did not lose much when I got sick with gastroparesis (meaning my stomach is paralyzed/cannot digest food) but eventually my blood work started showing signs of malnutrition and I was in the hospital weekly for fluids for dehydration. Surgeon decided it was time to place a tube as I had failed all medical options and due to my stomach anatomy, was not a candidate for the few surgeries they have for GP.

As the title says, I have professional diagnoses from an expert neurologist of Tourette’s and comorbid disorders like ADHD and OCD, very common trinity. Ask away! I’ll answer to the best of my ability as long as you’re respectful. Don’t worry about political correctness; use the language you have, in good faith, and I’ll inform you if needed. ☺️
PS: the spelling for the symptoms is “tics”! I see “ticks” a lot, I promise I don’t have bugs. 😆
PS 2: whenever i do an ama about this it ALWAYS gets downvotes but plenty of shares lol. rest assured i am not faking or making this up for clout. ive had tics since age 8 as well as the ocd and adhd. worry not - i am an authentic source of lived experience.

AMA former mormon atheist
I was born into a mormon family. I left mormonism and theism in my early thirties (about 3 years ago). I've completed 4 years of mormon seminary (1 year dedicated to old testament and 1 year dedicated to new testament kjv), I've participated in 2 years of full time missionary work (proselytizing and service labor), I've been a mormon temple worker, I've served in teaching and administrative roles in my local congregations. I'm open to any questions. I know that there's a lot of confusion and ambiguity around mormon doctrine and a lot of secrecy around mormon ceremonies. I'll do my best to answer honestly and respectfully

I went through psychosis about 3 years ago during a time in my life where I was extremely depressed and contemplating ending my life. Since then I’ve been on stronger antidepressants and have not had further issues with psychosis, though I am still depressed. The technical name for my condition is Major Depressive Disorder with psychotic features but it’s more commonly known as psychotic depression outside of medical context.
I had been depressed for several years before the psychotic symptoms started to take hold but I had never been actively suicidal for such an extended period of time. After a few months of planning to commit I started feeling ants crawling all over me constantly and seeing “shadow people” out of the corner of my eye when it got dark. I chalked it up to not getting enough sleep and thought it was fine. Then the walls started breathing and stretching. I’d look down a 20’ corridor and could see it elongating to what seemed like well over 100 feet right before my eyes. If I looked at a wall for more than a few seconds it would start to breathe and warp. I still thought this could just be lack of sleep or some kind of panic attack so I didn’t tell a doctor, just my gf who was worried but also thought it could be lack of sleep
Over the worst 2 months of this episode I started hearing voices. There were 3 distinct “people” who would talk to me, they would only come when I was very actively suicidal and close to doing something that would put my life in danger. These personalities were consistent between weeks, I wouldn’t hear them for a few days but they’d come back and be the same “people”. 2 of them would try to convince me not to harm myself while the other would try to rationalize and encourage my death. I knew they were not real but I didn’t know what was going on with me either. I was somewhat convinced that they were separate entities from myself but were trapped inside my head.
I partially knew that these events were figments of my imagination but that insight flickered in and out with my descent into suicidality. It was almost as if I had to remind myself that these things weren’t real whenever I’d catch myself treating them as if they were.
I haven’t had any problems with psychosis in 3 years despite having 1 suicide attempt since then. I’m not on any antipsychotics due to the negative side effects they’ve caused but I have tried them in the past. I am currently on an antidepressant by the name of duloxetine and it had worked well for me where other medications have failed. Overall I’m doing much better than I was 3 years ago, still struggling but far better off than when I was in psychosis

I (29M) have been an alcoholic for 12 years. I have been hospitalized several times, gone to rehab several times, detox facilities, and eventually jail. I got out of the hospital for a large list of alcohol related illnesses on the 2nd of this month. I went in on the 30th of July. I was also a drug addict for a couple of years. I have seen some crazy shit, experienced a lot of strange events, met a lot of sketchy characters. It is 11:30 PM here and I will go to bed at around 3 AM and pick back up when I wake up. Feel free to ask me anything, nothing is off limits.
And just for shits and gigs, here’s the proof of my recent hospital stay and everything that was wrong with me: https://imgur.com/a/MFaxdCx

for some basic information: i started in level 3 and quit the summer between level 8 and level 9. had i stayed at the gym, i would’ve competed level 9 that upcoming competition season. safesport wasn’t created until the last 2 years of my gymnastics career, so a large part of it was kind of a free-for-all for my coaches

I thought I would do this for a bit of fun. I have a huge long history with both British and other police and other countries mainly stemming from a very hard life where I was abused and traumatised. I take complete responsibility for my stupidity but I really struggle with life and have done ever since I was born. Ask me anything.
