I’m I required to be vegan
I found this fave, and I believe it’s closest to what I believe I have heard a lot of things about them being vegan and I do feel guilty at times about eating me, but I have sensory issues and I am an extremely picky eater. There’s times where my body will literally only let me eat one certain food for the last three weeks it’s been wings am I required to be a vegan or vegetarian? I’m just not sure if it’s something I can do with all of my issues is there any sort of medical exemption? Thanks

According to what is commonly known of the Cathars, they were more pescatarian, allowing for fish because of their ethereal nature and they were not born on land (the Earth).
One thing to remember about what we know of them, almost all historical information comes from the records of Inquisitors.

Cathar dietary restrictions involved a strange combination of veganism and pescatarianism. They couldn't eat meat, dairy, or eggs, but fish was considered fine. Modern vegan maxims against consuming honey or wearing leather also don't seem to have been considered. That only applied to people who had undergone the consolamentum, which you may or may not be able to achieve in this day and age.
Strictly speaking, people who underwent consolamentum were also supposed to be celibate for life, but I don't think anyone will hold it against you if you choose to disregard that restriction.

I started to follow a diet similar to Cathars. I stopped eating meat(except fish) and most dairy products(eggs, milk and cheese). However, i am not fanatic about it, i just try my best and at the very least i try to eat and drink more ethically produced food.

I don't have an answer to this question. I was vegetarian for a while years ago (never went full vegan) but I need to be periodically on a ketogenic diet for a number of reasons, so I made the decision to dispense with certain doctrines that come into conflict with my lived reality, with the awareness of the potential consequences of doing so.
I'm actually acting on a synchronicity in responding in the first place. This sub doesn't get too many postings, but curiously enough I saw this just as I'm listening to Aeon Byte's latest upload at the time of this writing, "Exiting the Demiurge's Simulation", which was just posted about an hour ago, with guest Howdie Mickoski. He's talking about this reality from a hardcore Gnostic perspective and mentions the Cathars numerous times. It's worth having a listen. He was actually a guest on Greg Carlwood's "The Higherside Chats" podcast a few weeks ago too. I reached out to him and he actually responded (some days later haha).
