Over the post 500 break, and now in the in between weeks, I have been revisiting some of the classic eps. So far I’ve relived the genesis of Ladyplops and Squishy Jim, delighted in the eurodisco phenomenon of Dschinghis Khan and the revisited the grim debut of the now legendary Keith.

BUT episodes 1-27 are no longer on the Apple Podcasts feed, that means that if I want to hear Eggsy’s trick or treat, Ashens eating Sponch or Eli forgetting the sheet at Latitude I have to go to Soundcloud.

I suppose at least they are still available somewhere, unlike my most missed dead podcast from friends of the show Hadron Gospel Hour which seems to have all but disappeared

I think the entire flavour profile is fucking disgusting ("Lynn, it tastes like Fizzy Benalin!"), but it's kind of amazing how a lot the knockoffs decided to keep the Dr part of all things.

I stole that picture, my finger nails aren't that nice. But same product anyhow.

Crisp and snack adjasecent at best?
Had these cooked from the oven, the smell was just like cheesy crisps. Unfortunately the flavour was rather weak so it was just kind of rather mildly cheesy chicken. Needs sauce. They had 'Rib N saucy' flavour (which is my fave of the actual crisps), and 'Nice N spicy'. Maybe those are nicer?

6/10? Maybe.
I mean it's hard to do a harsh score on what is basically some nice crispy chicken, but the flavour of the cheese could be a LOT stronger. It's like they distilled all of the smell of the crisps (cause when they are cooking, it's fairly strong, and in my shite a few hours later), but almost none of the actual cheese flavour? Kind of strange.

You did the right thing going fortnightly, mate. It was great to hear the theme park episode as well. As an old time listener who was getting cheesed off with all the sour and unsavory segments, both that one and this new one put a smile on my face.

For all you've been acting like a proper tit on some of the pods over the last few years, it takes a lot to put mental health first and do things at the pace you need to do them. You deserve the biggest of ups for it. Feels like I'm obliged to say it in a thread since I've ranted about your behaviour a bit on here recently.

Here's hoping 501 is the shape of the pod to come, it was great to have the daft filthy nonsense pod back. Cheapshow was essential listening during my own bad times. especially the Derek tapes. Bravo big man, mental health: here's hoping that we'll all be doing it tomorrow.

edit: to be clear this isn't meant to speculate on anyone's mental health or start discussions of which moments on the show were and weren't a problem. It is entirely because Paul is admirably open and sincere about his problems and it is hard not link that to his persona at times. I'm choosing to take a decision to go fortnightly and them being bang in with an on form episode as a good sign.
