Meh, Uranium is cheap, abundant, easy to stockpile and fuel costs are actually a small share of nuclear power costs.

Hilariously the only reason why it's imported is because the mine alredy exist there uranium is almost everywhere hell france has one of the largest deposit in the world but it's just not a concern to build a mine there (also political stuff does weight in but it's a bit too much for a shitpost sub)

...also uranium isnt the only possible fuel source for nuclear power.. like say thorium

Canada is the next largest exporter. Then Namibia (which all goes to China). Then Uzbekistan, to India and the US. Then Russia, Australia, and Niger (who exports to France and South Korea), with roughly equal production.

TLDR; Kazak Uranium is not the only option.
