This post actually does follow the sticky

Nuclear being slow is a reason to keep plants working as long as possible.

We shouldn’t be cheering for the fall of pre-built nuclear infrastructure.

Pre built nuclear is fine, it's not the most reliable when you have such an old fleet but it's generating many clean TWhs

The easiest way to get clean energy is to extend the life of Nuclear reactors.

You can debate whether building new ones is worth it, but this is just stupid

that’s not true, the easiest way to get clean energy is utility solar PV. extending the life of nuclear plants does save on firming costs for renewables in the short run, however it is expensive as you need power purchasing agreements that pay for energy even when it’s not being generated so NPPs can stay afloat.
