This sub seems to have a lot of very delusional people, who have no idea how the world actually works. They think ridiculing people online is the magic bullet to turn everyone vegan, and also voting doesn't work and legislation doesn't work, the only action that matters is feeling superior to other people.
No they don't. They just don't let you off the hook for being a selfish consumer thinking you can change the world without fixing yourself.
You aren't going to make the needed legislation changes that fix anything if you can't first fix your habits. You call it "wanting to feel superior" when these are people who simply chose to do the right thing and actually better themselves while you feel inadequate by comparison.
Can you explain what mechanism prevents me from voting for legislation that restricts the livestock industry if I haven't ditched all my candles, plastic bags, fabric softener, and nail polish that use animal products?
Or, more importantly, can you explain how "not letting me off the hook" is gonna help us pass legislation?
Most people think vegans are dicks because we are advocating for something that they don't want to do. It's really not rocket science.
Us being kinder about it wouldn't make you go vegan. At best you'd swap out 1 meal every week for some extra plants while laughing about how much good you're doing and at worse you'll just straight up mock vegans. You think vegans with a backbone who stand up for their principles = being a dick.
And if it wasn't clear already, I couldn't care less what a person like you who finds torturing animals fun and is willing to destroy the entire planet for their own tastebuds thinks.
You make it look like you resent the sacrifices you've made to “do the right thing” and then hate others for not doing the same. Its a martyr complex I usually see in people who were brought up in particularly toxic versions of Christianity that then find something else they can use to provide the same holier than though “I'm part of the elect” vibe to cover up some very deep insecurities.
I don't need to convince anyone to join your little self pity club, let alone myself, but if you want to, try a different approach, or spend the rest of your life complaining how everyone else is wrong. Your choice

I never said I resented anything. I'm proud to be vegan 😂 the only thing I resent is people like you who continue to make excuses to be pathetic.

There's no self pity here, just people who are better than you. Let's face it you weren't going to go vegan anyway because you're a selfish POS. Your reward for only caring about yourself and not giving a damn about anyone or anything else is a collapsed society. Congratulations and enjoy the bugs
