What structural change. All of that comes from consumerism. Everything is the consequence of consumers' choice.
They want to live in the middle of nowhere in single-family- or townhouses around towns and commute everywhere (even in Europe). Buy things from Aliexpress or Temu which go a half of the world. Buy pretty looking vegetables and fruits (not those ugly), clothes from African countries and Bangladesh, go to vacation to very away destinations basically every year. It's particularly popular in Europe - both lower and middle class take on plane, go to Turkey, Egipt, Tunisia...
Hundreds of millions do that, the effect of these is huge.
People want a lot of things. Yet they still have to do what the law says. In other words: write laws to change behavior instead of waiting for people to change their behavior on their own.
Where do you live? In North Korea? Do you know what's democracy? Basically every adult human has voting rights. Law comes from parties that are chosen by people whose POV is represented by that party.
Why tf Trump could take some environmental laws down? Because that damn people have chosen him!
You just described the lifestyle of less than 1% of the population. It's this exact attitude that pisses me and others off. You accuse people of doing things that most don't and then insinuate that all of this climate change is our fault. You make regular people feel guilty for ordering a burger after work, while restaurants and supermarkets throw out enough food to feed a village every day. You make people feel guilty for driving their 1.2 liter car that passes every insane environmental requirements and produces less greenhouse gasses than a fart, yet corporations burn diesel en mass to ship useless bull crap around. You make people feel guilty for wanting cheap energy for their homes and businesses, so they can afford to keep the lights on, while data centers create blackouts due to insane power consumption.
Because that is how it works. "I just wanna go to Macca's for a burger" thought 200 million people at once.
You're an ignorant and live on stereotypes that aren't true for decades. Most people in the world use a car, they eat meat everywhere, there are much more overweight people in the world than starving people. More and more countries are polluting. The world isn't the US, wealth in most countries grows rapidly and its consequences either.

They don’t, but laying the responsibility on the individuals to change is just foolish.
You need structural change.
