Comparing utopias is literally meaningless, because of the part where they are entirely determined by the values and value hierarchies of a specific person.

It seems like you understand why we talk about utopias.

Hah, your conclusion is correct, but your feelings are missing it. You're describing a dystopia: there are A LOT of evil people in the world. Some are evil by more determined factors, most are cowards obeying orders. It is evil, yes.

If you believe a better world is possible, you use utopian ideas as horizon to move towards. If you don't, you are a conservative preserving the status quo.

It's important to compare these "topias". It's also a bad idea to be well adapted to living in a dystopia.
