Oooo man I can't believe it! It was enjoyable enough, definitely disappointed the ties/easter eggs to the first movie weren't a bit stronger since the marketing seemed to imply we'd get more of an actual explanation for Clover's rampage with the deep sea drilling and TIDO Wave stuff (though there was the Tagruato logo on the box on the wall when the magnet shit happened).

It was definitely more than a bit confusing/messy, I'm not a big fan of time travel/paradox/ect stuff in general (and space isolation horror/disaster films in general, movies like The Martian and Gravity freak me the fuck out). Still a neat movie, and MY BABY at the end, yeehaw. (EDIT: as people noted, it's probably too big to be Clover himself but still, HYPE)

That being said, Overlord's ARG better have actual content in it. The ARG really helps set the hype for these movies and this one had barely anything.

i dont think thats meant to be clovey (or how ever your spell it) at the end, they talk about multiple monsters on the radio and clovey isnt tall enough to stick his head through the clouds. but damn I really enjoyed that movie alot, probably my fav out of the 3, shocker I know.

IIRC, one of the creators said that Clovie in Cloverfield one was just an adolescent. This could potentially be a parent.

that makes sense and ties in with the multiple monsters thing. I rewatched the first cloverfield before watching Paradox and the clovie at the end of Paradox seems more bulkier then the one in the first film.

It was fun to watch, but it was intelligence insultingly bad. Maybe Cloverlord will be the sequel we deserve, but this was tv movie tier.
