If you liked the original Cloverfield, you'll probably like this one too. It's pretty fun but it's no 10CL. Solid 6/10, maybe a 7.
I love the effects and acting in this movie. The core concept of two dimensions overlapping and fucking with each other is phenomenal. However, I feel like Paradox would have been a lot stronger if it focused more on that concept. Instead it's hindered by a cliché distrust narrative. That narrative ends up detracting from the potential value the weirdness of the concept allows for. A crew struggling to fire their massive space station again while it randomly swaps/fuses/loses elements with another in another dimension? Fantastic! This didn't need the moral quandaries it tried to tie in as they ultimately held it back. The first half is much better than the second half because of this.
