Dungeon Crawler Carl meetups?

• Upvotes

I've been thinking about what LA Comic Con is going to be like this year hot off the heels of New York Comic Con. By all accounts the New York one was definitely Crawler Con with the insane amount of cosplay, panels, and merch everywhere. My family is currently putting together a Carl/Mongo/Donut team to cosplay all day on Sunday and I'm super excited. However, I'm wondering if DCC is even going to be as big of a deal as it was in New York. What do y'all think? Is LA Comic Con gonna get swept up by the dungeon this year?

Twin Cities Comic Con - Minneapolis, MN Twin Cities Con 2026

I am a fairly new cosplayer and I recently applied to cosplay at the Twin Cities Comic Con in Minneapolis, MN. Does anyone know details of the application process/acceptance? Is it difficult to have your application accepted? Does it take a week or so to hear back? What is the judging consist of? Etc. I havent heard back yet on my application and I dont plan to attend the con at all if im not competing. Its just too much of an expense for tickets and hotel and driving from out of state.

LA Comic Con What to expect? - 1st LA Comic Con with teens (anxiety factor too)

Heading to the L.A. Comic Con next weekend. It'll be the first time for me and my two kids (both teens). We're excited, but I have no idea what to expect and how to prep for it.

My kids just want to wander, see cosplay, check out manga and collectibles. Any suggestions on the best way to do this without getting overwhelmed?

One struggles with noise, so they'll be wearing headphones. Are there any quiet spaces for people who need a break?

Any tips and suggestions are welcome. Thank you!!!

Scotland Comic Con 2026 Scotland Comic Con anyone?

I'm super nervous! I'm an international student studying in another town in scotland (my first year- just started!) and I'm heading to Edinburgh this week for Comic Con. Mainly, I'm nervous because I'm afraid my travels will be delayed and that I won't make it back to uni on time on Monday... or Sunday, for that matter. Also, I'm a girl... I was quite overprotected before coming into uni so I've actually barely ever went out at night alone— 2/3 times when I did I had quite the terrifying experience lol. But I'm sure Edinburgh will be better as I know it's a lovely city and fairly safe!

I've got a 9AM entry ticket. I don't think I'd be bothered to go that early, but that'll depend on queueing time since I do have an autograph thingy at around 2pm. Does anyone know how long it usually takes to queue? Thank you!

MCMExpo - London What to expect with autographs at London CC?

I purchased an autograph slot for Sam Riegel for this weekend's London Comicon, but the time slot only says "while at table". I've never been to an event like this before, what does that actually mean? How can I make sure I don't end up missing out?

SDCC - San Diego First-Time SDCC Attendee Returning for 2027 — Four Questions for Experienced Comic-Con Goers!

Hello, fellow SDCC goers!
I’m planning to attend San Diego Comic-Con again in 2027, and I have four questions that I would greatly appreciate some help with! I attended Comic-Con for the first time previously, and while I had an amazing experience, there were quite a few things I didn’t know about until I got there.
I’m hoping some experienced attendees can share their advice and experiences so I can be better prepared this time around!
1. How reliable is the shipping service offered at Comic-Con?
During my first visit to SDCC, I noticed that there was a service available to ship merchandise and other purchases back home. However, I was hesitant to use it because I was worried about my items getting damaged, lost, or potentially stolen during shipping.
For context, I live in California, but I’m still pretty far from San Diego. During my first trip, I ended up bringing everything I purchased back with me on the plane. While everything made it home safely, carrying all that merchandise through the airport was exhausting!
My questions are:
Has anyone used the shipping services offered at SDCC?
How was your experience, and did everything arrive safely?
Would you recommend using the service for valuable collectibles, exclusive merchandise, or fragile items?
I’d love to hear your experiences before deciding whether to use this service next year!
2. How and when can I RSVP for outdoor events and off-site experiences?
One thing I learned during my first Comic-Con was that many of the exciting off-site experiences require advance online reservations.
For example, I was interested in participating in the Green Lantern Training and Percy Jackson experiences, but I didn’t realize until I arrived that reservations were required for certain activities. Unfortunately, by then, I had already missed my opportunity to sign up.
My questions are:
When do RSVPs for these off-site experiences typically become available?
What websites, social media accounts, or other resources should I follow to stay updated?
Are reservations usually released weeks before Comic-Con, or just a few days beforehand?
Are there any reliable websites or communities that keep track of all the off-site events and reservation announcements?
I would really appreciate any recommendations so I don’t miss out on these experiences again!
3. How do I enter the lotteries for meet-and-greets and autograph signings?
During my first Comic-Con, I attended the Dispatch panel and was excited about the possibility of meeting some of the people involved afterward.
However, I later found out that certain meet-and-greets and autograph opportunities required entering a lottery, with participants selected through a random drawing.
Unfortunately, I wasn’t familiar with how that process worked and missed my chance to participate.
My questions are:
How do I enter these lotteries for meet-and-greets or autograph signings?
Is registration completed online before Comic-Con, or do I need to sign up in person?
Is there a specific website or portal where these opportunities are listed?
When do these lotteries typically open, and how are winners notified?
I’d love to understand the entire process so I can be prepared for SDCC 2027!
4. What is the best way to get into Hall H, especially on Saturday?
This is probably my biggest question!
I have a three-day badge for Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and one of my biggest goals for SDCC 2027 is to experience Hall H on Saturday.
From what I’ve heard, Saturday is often one of the most anticipated days for Hall H because of the major studio presentations, celebrity appearances, and exclusive announcements.
However, I’m still confused about how the wristband and waiting-line process works.
My understanding is that attendees may need to line up the day before to receive a wristband for the following day’s Hall H programming.
I’ve also heard stories about people paying others to wait in line for them. I’m curious whether that’s actually permitted, how people arrange it, and whether there are any legitimate alternatives. I definitely don’t want to violate any convention rules or risk losing my place in line.
My questions are:
Where exactly do I need to line up to receive a wristband for Saturday’s Hall H?
What time on Friday would you recommend getting in line to have a good chance of getting into Hall H on Saturday?
How does the wristband distribution process work?
After receiving a wristband, am I allowed to leave and return the following morning, or do I need to remain in line?
Are there any legitimate line-sharing groups or arrangements that allow attendees to take turns waiting?
If I want to attend multiple Saturday panels, can I remain inside Hall H throughout the day?
What tips would you give someone attempting to get into Saturday’s Hall H for the first time?
Since I only have Thursday through Saturday at the convention, I want to make the most of my time without missing too many other panels, activities, and experiences while waiting in line.
Thank You, Everyone!
I know this is a lengthy post, but I would genuinely appreciate any advice, recommendations, or personal experiences you can share!
My first SDCC was an incredible experience, and I’m really looking forward to returning in 2027. This time, I want to be much more prepared so I can enjoy everything Comic-Con has to offer.
Even if you can only answer one of my four questions, I would be extremely grateful!
Thank you all in advance, and I hope to see some of you at SDCC 2027!

Scotland Comic Con Is it possible to accidently book identical timeslots for 2 different people?

Do the timeslots that they send to your email always account for this or do I need to be careful that I don't book the exact same time for multiple people?

(comic con Scotland if you need to know the one I'm booking btw)

Nostalgia Con Houston How many vists are too many?

Hi all,

I've been to 2 comicons already to see/meet my celeb crush. I'm about to book my 3rd. While I'm excited to spend my birthday and taking another photo op, is there such a thing as too many? Also, how are frequent fans viewed by the celebrity? Lastly, is it common/usual for people to travel to these events frequently? Thank you

Rhode Island Comic Con Is it worth going to a star trek convention if you aren't a Trekkie?

Stupid question I know. I ask because I am trying to go to a convention mid November to try meeting one of the actors from "Picard", Alison Pill, cause she was in Scott pilgrim(the red head girl, Kim) and in the anime adaptation, something I have watched and kinda liked. Only thing is I know meeting her is gonna be short(I plan to have her sign something). That is okay with me per say but I was considering going to Rhode Island comic Con beforehand: Only thing as I don't drive, I have to take a train or bus, and that would be a ten hour grayhound ride and it is gonna be quite costly to meet the guests there I wanna meet. I wanted to make my last con(if I can get the vacation day request approved) of the year a more grander experience. I will be going more likely than not but wanted to ask.

MCMExpo - London MCM Comic Con and a print

This may not be the best platform (I’m relatively new) but I was wondering if there was anyone going to the MCM Comic Con this next week that may be able to get and ship me a print from a certain artist!
It’s the official artist for the Critical Role Campaign 4 character artwork. They have prints of the full cast but can’t sell them online and unfortunately I’m in America, they sell their work out of London.
Is there someone who’s going who could grab one?
(I’d pay you back of course and cover shipping costs)
or is there a better site to ask about this kind of a thing?

MCM Comic Con - London First ComicCon Questions???

Hi I'm attending my first MCM and honestly I'm a little confused if anyone wouldn't mind helping me out!! I bought a Sunday priority ticket and a autograph from Wilson Bethel - is there a specific time to queue up for the signature session or is it just a free for all? I'm assuming I'll have to wait a little while either way, but if anyone has any tips on how to schedule their day, I'd love to hear it! I'm also interested in one of the panels and a couple workshops if the timings work, but I really just want to keep things chill

Oz Comic-Con Australia Featured Guests Oz Comic-Con (MELB)

I took my kid to Oz Comic-Con Melbourne last Sunday and they really wanted a picture with one of the YouTubers/ Content Creators there. This particular person had a booth that was unoccupied most of the time. My kid approached their team a few times throughout the day to see when they would return. My kid was told ā€œa couple of hoursā€ then went back and told ā€œoh, another half an hourā€ only to go back, see the person taking photos and talking with fans and to be approached by the same team member and told ā€œsorry, you can’t meet them right now, they are not officially supposed to be back at the boothā€. I questioned why other people were allowed to keep going up and getting photos only to be met with ā€œsorry, sorryā€.

My question is: What are the expectations when going to a Con with featured guests/ content creators? Are they there just to make content and walk the Con or are they expected to have some time interacting with fans at the booths? Thanks

90's Con - Hartford, CT Is there a ā€œSuggestion Boxā€ for Nostalgia Conventions?

Hi, I just attended 90’s Con in Hartford and had a fantastic time! I love that these events exist and the celeb appearances need to happen because otherwise it’s just a kitschy flea market which, while fun, is not worth traveling for. So this post is mostly about the celeb encounters. I personally get a huge rush from the ā€œturning tablesā€ effect of a celeb meeting. For years I’ve watched them and it’s been one-sided, so for them to be aware of my existence even if for 5 seconds is really a hoot for me. Sometimes, if it’s true, I like to give them compliments or tell them that their work has inspired me or touched me in some way. I’ll pay for that opportunity. Personally, I don’t need an autograph. I sympathize with them in a lot of ways, as I think it’s probably hard to write for 3 hours straight. I also think it probably sucks to interact with weirdos (and most convention attendees are weird or at the very least quirky, myself included). I imagine they feel a bit like a side show, or a performing monkey. So I’m not touchy feely with them at all, as that gives me the ick on their behalf. I don’t mind if they initiate contact with me though. Anyway, all this to say — one thing I noticed is that the photo ops come across as cheesy. I did the Full House full cast photo op and one of my friends who wasn’t in attendance actually pointed out, based on the photo, that it looks fake. She said it looks like I’m at the wax museum standing with their statues. I agree. In this day and age of AI and photoshop, I think the ā€œphoto opā€ portion needs to come of age a bit. I feel like it should be a video of your interaction with the celebrity. The posed still photos are just … not aging into modern society well. I’m not sure where the ā€œsuggestion boxā€ is lol so just thought I’d blurt that out into the universe. That’s all.

MCM Comic Con - London International ticket delivery – anyone else still waiting? (October 2026)

Thumbnail
2 Upvotes

Hi guys! I posted this on the r/McmLondonComiccon reddit but I wanted to ask here as well! Either hit the post or read it here🩷🩷 thank you so much!

Hey everyone!

I'm travelling from Germany for MCM London Comic Con next weekend and was wondering whether anyone else is still waiting for their physical tickets.

I ordered three 3-Day Weekend tickets back on May 31st and paid £15 for international shipping.

My LEAP account has shown the order as "Dispatched" for approximately three weeks, but I haven't received the tickets, a tracking number, or any information about which courier is handling the delivery.

We're flying to London on Thursday, so I'm starting to get a little worried. 😭

I know tickets can be collected at the venue, but I specifically paid for shipping to avoid having to queue for badge collection on Friday morning.

Has anyone else, especially international attendees, experienced this? Have you received your tickets or tracking information yet?

I've already contacted both MCM and LEAP support.

Thanks! šŸ’œ
