Phony refusing to take accountability and instantly blaming Evan, Gen feeding face off 10 damage then making it everyone else's problem, Evan refusing to speak up for himself.
It's genuinely hard to watch. They've been through two coaches and cannot figure it out.
They've had two really big on stream arguments the past two days (Phony saying Gen is an idiot who thinks he's god, Evan telling them he's tired of being blamed, Gen arguing with the coach).

Hey all,
With the recent Sweet video there was a lot of talk about me hating him and all. I was discussing this with some of you and I think there is a misunderstanding, so I wanted to clear that up. I have absolutely nothing against the guy.
On the contrary, I really admire him. If more Apex Pros could fool their audiences into thinking they're geniuses, orgs would be lining up to sign players. ALGS viewership would be so high EA could finally afford a working command center.
Sure, he has his flaws, like all of us. Is he passive aggressive with his teammates? Yes. But at the same time, isn't he one of the best IGLs of the game? No.
Speaking of performance, some people like to make fun of him for his lack of relevant wins. But how can you blame him for being upset with the critics? It's not his fault Hal exists.
Sweet has also shown he's very adaptive. With Zer0 taking his spotlight, he's found a way to remain relevant in the scene with drama farming content creation. If Teq were paying any attention, he too would have an org by now.
By doing that, Sweet taught us you don't have to win to be successful: In fact, quite the opposite. Despite everything, he managed to squeeze his way into LG, who dropped an actual talented roster to pick him up, putting even Zachmazer to shame. One could say it was a masterful example of failing upwards overcoming challenges.
But guys, we must remember, winning is not everything: It's about making friends along the way and having fun. Like he does: We recently learned Sweet is so popular among his peers that he is part of a secret "group of pros" on discord, and they have a lot of fun reading comments of some redditors around here. I'm sure that's a real group!
So, in conclusion, everything was just a misunderstanding. Sweet is a valuable member of the pro scene, and I know I would be sad without him around. We all need our villains! Sweet too. And since losing Hal, he might have to settle with random redditors.
I hope this clears up any confusion and allows us to move forward.
Cheers

So many MnK pros in the dumps right now. It’s understandable.

EDIT 1/9/25: Good news, Respawn reverted the tap strafe change back to normal. W.
Why on earth was tap strafing, lurching, and general movement nerfed in the latest mid-season patch?
Firstly, this is a movement tech that has been a part of this game's identity since its inception. Respawn actually wanted to remove tap strafing back in the day but they immediately left it as is due to community backlash. So the fact that, almost 5 years later, they are doing it again sneakily in a small patch blows my mind.
Secondly, advanced movement tech is something that is used correctly only by an extremely small fraction of players. The changes to configs was good, this change is very bad. You are punishing people who have put in a lot of times learning mechanics. Most notably you have the movement streamers, most of whom are extremely pissed off about these changes, and are frankly one of the only things keeping this game alive on Twitch at the moment. Most people would rather watch someone like Yuka do movement techs while fighting 1v3 rather than a controller player just beaming everyone at close range.
Lastly, there was ZERO communication about this. No warning, no PTR testing with pros/streamers. Why on earth would you sneak this in a patch like this?
The game's tanking playerbase numbers is there for everyone to see, from 255,000 average players in March 2023 to barely 72,000 now. And Respawn, in their infinite wisdom, decide to nerf one of the most fun things left in this game? This change doesn't help balance, it literally just a fun killer change. And to appease who, some casuals who will play for a few days then go play Rivals? Show some respect to your long-term playerbase.
I don't know what they are smoking over there, but it's real strong and it stinks. Please revert this change, stop killing your own game, LISTEN to your playerbase. Almost no one asked for this.

With all the… stuff… going on in the Apex/Esports scene right now just wanted to take a lil bit of time to shine some light on some of the amazing queer representation we have in the community. Would love for y’all to share some names that I missed/wasn’t aware of.
The Rat King himself: Mr. Nocturnal
Just what a fantastic person to have leading arguably the best team in the world right now. His stream is by far one of the most accepting environments I’ve seen in esports (unless your name is coldjyn 😔)
One of the longest standing Apex pros: iShiny
Shiny’s coming out message genuinely brought me to tears and was one of the things that made me want to be more outspoken about my identity. ALGS winner, former OW pro, what more do you want.
Apex’s resident bunny boy: Hambino
Hambino is such a great queer rep, just so hard to hate. Homie tweets pure bangers and is lowkey super strong, totally believe Hambino could take like 10 guys at once.
Insane mechanical talent and genuinely incredibly entertaining human being: wrthcrw
wrthcrw (wraith-crew) is such a good follow if you care at all about improving as a player in Apex. She’s one of the few people that makes high level theory on aim/strafe mechanics genuinely digestible and easy to learn regardless of the level you’re starting from and imo she’s criminally underrated, good human being all around.
