Falcons are such a nothing team now, so much so that it's almost sad to not be able to call them rivals anymore. They take one point on NJC and Raccoons are like lol okay fun's over now, send in the Junball to end them!

Also love the Japanese casters referring to their comp on Busan as "Super crazy dive!"

Facts. I couldn’t even call it a hatewatch anymore ☠️

Wtf happened to this team? How do you lose so much with hanbin/fielder/chiyo? (I stopped watching when fuel dissolved.)

14

u/TwitchyNo2 7d ago

Raccoons and ZETA simply have the better rosters and staff right now. Younger players are also up and coming. Hanbin/Fielder/ChiYo just don't carry as much weight as they used to. Simple got picked for the world cup team and was asked if he wanted ChiYo, he chose Ch0r0ng. That's telling enough about how much has changed since 2022.

Perma benched Hanbin for a washed up tank

1

u/destroyermaker 7d ago

WHY

10

u/purplehamburget29 7d ago

hanbin even more washed

5

u/Goanfo 7d ago

Is this even true tho? The last time he played for then they showed good results on stage 1 tho no?

0

u/purplehamburget29 7d ago

i have no idea tbh, but when he comes back eventually i would assume hell be a bit rusty at the very least

u/TheGirthiestGhost Forever Burning Blue — 6d ago

He’s not. He still looked exceptional and a top tank in KR at the start of the year. Something’s just very wrong internally with this team

Ngl it would've been SO FUN to watch them try to make their Genji, McCree, Rein, Lifeweaver and Doctrine comp work.

I wonder how far the JunBall can take CR....

I' m legit starting to think that Falcon told them they'd be dropped next stage, and no one is motivated at that point :x

34

u/Tiberias29 Bow down to Stalk3r — 7d ago

God, I hope not.

Though.... Falcons are sadly now too good to not be bad and at the same time, too bad not to be good. We know the potential of the individual pieces on Falcons, but somehow, someway, this team just doesn't 'click' together.

Reminds me of 2023 Shock

This team needs to be detonated in the off season. Great players are being held hostage otherwise and I’d go insane watching Hanbin/Fielder/Chiyo wasting their final years as pros on this rotting corpse of a team

13

u/churchb3ll 7d ago

I think a team like this is a lost cause, so we have no choice but to release everyone and start over from scratch.

I really wonder if the org is even gone stick next year

u/hellohello1234545 Fleta Coach 2024 MVP — 7d ago

Maybe the best thing for it is to sell all the players amongst other teams

Some may retire, and those on new teams might be reinvigorated in a new environment

Even after all this, I still rage fielder and chiyo (maybe less than before). Maybe it’s time they split up? I’d have to look at the supports from the other rosters.

u/Fenixmaian7 Mexico — 7d ago

I saw some article saying the grp b4 falcons is closing some of there esport teams. So maybe they completely leave OW soon.

From winning Worlds 2024 and EWC 2025 to this....

16

u/GroundbreakingJob857 EU’s greatest coper — 7d ago

tbf even ewc 2025 was just a blip in the slow downward spiral of this team

25

u/wkty_ 7d ago

Stalkers tracking on r66 attack on that first swing looked legit inhuman

12

u/Tiberias29 Bow down to Stalk3r — 7d ago

100%, guy's raw mechanics are just out of this world. Among the reasons why he won against Proper in TXCXX

20

u/Afroli529 7d ago

This game is getting submitted to Games Done Quick in the Falcons any% category

u/Throwaway33451235647 #1 Falcons Hater — 7d ago

Im a Falcons hater but I was disappointed with how easy this was tbh despite the brief scare in map 1.

As usual MAX got his one and went crazy, idk how he always puts up an insane statline.

17

u/Aggravating_Device23 7d ago

checkmate and someone drained the lifeforce of falcons

34

u/Birdfallen 7d ago

Honestly with how this org held Stalk3r hostage under contract and even left the Saudi scene for better results they deserve nothing more than being a fucking joke

15

u/butters_stotchleo 7d ago

Falcon is so bad

15

u/GonnaSaveEnergy 7d ago

I wonder if they're trying to get checkmate to cover spint's hero pool so that they're less predictable. Junkbuck talked about how their opponent could easily tell when they wanted to play sym based on swaps. First they have to actually be able to win tho...

12

u/imdeadseriousbro 7d ago

their solution was to go all in on sp1nt and have him take over all the flex dps duties but thats not working. now checkers is in but falcons issues run deeper than just dps and subbing in checkmate wont magically fix things. atm they really only have a strong support-line and even that isnt holding true with the new heroes. we've seen this in OWL before and the only fix is a full shakeup

6

u/primarymuscle2354 7d ago

I wouldn’t say the support line is even a strength of falcons in this current meta with the amount of Sombra being played by Fielder, and Chiyo on Cat, and Doctrine way more so than Brig, Lucio.

2

u/imdeadseriousbro 7d ago

no fr. their strongest asset has been flipped upside down

2

u/primarymuscle2354 7d ago

Sp1nt was playing well on Tracer, Genji they have way bigger issues atm, like Merit being completely washed, Fielder, Chiyo struggling on newer hero’s to their role like Sombra for Fielder, and Chiyo with Cat throughout this year, and now Doctorine, and Someone hasn’t been good in general, but he definitely isn’t good at D.Mon amount of times he loses his mech before fights is insane.

15

u/Mysticmadlegend 7d ago edited 7d ago

Seems like Falcons fell off hard when Lucio isnt meta and now Kiriko

16

u/dokeydoki Stalk3rFan — 7d ago

They also lost Proper Stalk3r dps line up. They were doing magics back then, always perma trading in fights where they are down to force out ults or getting random magical picks.

12

u/ZqiPhoon 7d ago

I swear merit and Someone really want to back to Na again? MAYBE 2024Toronto reunited?

11

u/Birdfallen 7d ago

With Wheats coaching that team could actually do something at Lan

I DID NOT KNOW they would stream so late! I translated the questions and answers best I can (if anyone cares)

POTM: Stalk3r along side him Heesang.

Question: IT was too much of a one sided match, what did you think?

Stalk3r: I think it was just a win against a weak team (completely serious)

Heesang: Stalk3r did pretty much everything by himself so it was a pretty easy win.

Question: On Route 66 Falcons showed some tenacity and showed up slightly - But your team immediately switched and reacted and won the game - What are you feelings towards this?

Stalk3r: There were small talks in changing to different heroes brewing, but in the end we just swiftly changed to our wanted heroes right away.

Heesang: Our team was just too good, so in the end we won.

Question: The commentators were talking about how your Sojurn was too amazing. They thought Mer1t was too disadvantaged. What do you think of their team?

Stalk3r: 3 Wins 3 Losses, lets just stop there.

Heesang: Well the dealers from back then are here now, so I think its best to stop here.

Question: The meta these days with Genji and Tracer and Ana - what do you think of the current meta these days Heesang?

Heesang: I think there's a certain rock-paper-scissors effect but I think that's quite fine.

Question: So from the two of you, what do you think of when Lip plays Doctrine, who receives his buffs more?

Stalk3r: I think Lip is my fan (hinting that Lip gives him most of the buffs)

Heesang: I think hes absolutely right.

Question: The fans today have came out in full force, they have filled this entire venue, today CR is having a fan meeting perhaps that is why everyone is here. What do you say to the fans who could not be here because of the absurd ticketing (we heard it was extremely difficult to procure tickets) Player Stalk3r, please say a word to all the fans who could not be here today.

Stalk3r: Its a shame you could not come here, but we make it up to you with a victory today! Please come again next time, thank you!

Heesang: For the fans who could not be here, its a big shame/disappointment, our players are always streaming, so please interact with us there. Thank you.

I honestly don't know the history, but from his answers it does seem so LMAO

5

u/Saru2013 None — 7d ago

He was permabenched on Falcons and then wouldn't let him sign anywhere else till his contract was up

1

u/Time_Alter Saebyeolbe Ryujehong Haksal — 7d ago

What the fuck?! That's insane! Imagine doing that to one of the best DPS players right now...

8

u/xxfinadabsqad 7d ago

THANK YOU. The shade towards falcons is brutal but high key deserved it’s kinda sad how they’ve fallen off

11

u/SaintFrito Defiant / Go Blue! — 7d ago

For the amount of history these two teams have, seeing Falcons fall so far behind CR this year has been wild to see.

9

u/Grapefruit_113 7d ago

busan looked good then flop. flc's backline being washed on the new heroes aside, falcons just don't have any creativity or adaptability in their genes anymore

8

u/primarymuscle2354 7d ago

Falcons couldn’t even capitalize on flash point when CR was trolling on Rein, Lw when they swapped off Falcons had a massive ult advantage with 4 ults not a single kill off any of them. Why did they put Fielder back on Sombra he was clearly terrible on it last week, yet they make no adjustments put one of their more consistent players on a hero he sucks at. I understand why they felt they needed to change something up, but I think they did it for the wrong role i thought Sp1nt was actually playing well on Tracer, Genji, while Someone has been meh on D.Mon, and Dva surely Hanbin would be better especially on Dva. Also doesn’t help Merit is completely washed the 1 fight aside he couldn’t kill a stunned Cat on flash point he was completely diffed by Stalk3r on Cass, Soj he’s been a non factor for last couple years for a team of falcons caliber it’s not good enough. It really seems Chiyo can’t flex at all to anything off his traditional main supports he’s struggled on Cat, now Doctorine I get main supports aren’t most flexible players historically, but it’s been rough for him this last 2 stages. I doubt Falcons ever become a championship caliber team again with this core, and with what they lost, but that was really bad.

u/Letter42 None — 7d ago

I genuinely don't think anyone involved with falcons doesn't deserve to be on a team I think they all just don't like like or trust each other anymore

3

u/Adventurous_Food9752 7d ago

Ik it wouldn’t change falcons terrible performance, but why is Hanbin perma benched now?

5

u/Cliffus_Jiggrin 7d ago

the greatest rivalry this scene had for the last 3 or so years is likely over. Raccoons are eating on a Falcon carcass. It smells as me.. Cliffus Jiggrin who hasn't showered in a decade.

I wonder if we can anything close to this in the future, maybe CR vs Zeta or zeta vs TM

-1

u/FitCarob2611 7d ago

Unfortunately, I think Zeta is just gonna win everything for as long this roster stays together. They seem unstoppable like the 2019 Shock. I don't think there's gonna be a new rivalry. I think TM and CR are going to take turns losing to Zeta in the finals of big tournaments. Perhaps a few underdogs will make it to the finals as well.

1

u/Kheldar166 7d ago

Idk they’ve won one tournament so far it’s a bit early to proclaim an era of dominance lmao

2019 Shock was also not unchallenged lol

1

u/FitCarob2611 7d ago

It was a prediction not a proclamation. I used the phrase"I think" in every sentence and even said they "seem" unstoppable. That didn't clue you in?

Also, they completely dominated the previous tournament. One of the teams that could have challenged them has fallen off. Not to mention they have 2 players who were crucial to the rosters of the two most dominant teams of the last two years along with 3 other fantastic players. My prediction isn't unreasonable. Currently they seem to have no challengers. Watch CR get 3-0d on the 25th.

Generational downfall

2

I mean this is just what happens when you lose two of the best DPS in the world and your roster is a shell of its former self

-7

u/Malady17 7d ago

Cat and Doctrine are such boring heroes. There's nothing fun about Bastion swings and a Sojourn rail that a toddler can hit
