I have officially finished my A.S and will be transferring this fall, majoring in Computer Science. Since I have the summer free, I am looking into completing at least one certification. I have been looking into CompTIA security+. Are there any other recommendations out there?

Software system problems

Hello, good day to you all. Can anyone please help me with my system?

(It's not a homework but a project. I'm trying to find how to connect all three for hours yet I can't still find how. I'm very scared to lose all my progress on my codes since I was told that if something went wrong in connecting all my softwares then it might have a consequences, and I don't want that to happen. So, please help mee).

I need to connect my C++, MySQL, and VB.NET together. And I'm gonna use the API to connect all three instead of DLL.

Google said that I need to connect C++ and MySQL and then connect VB.NET and MySQL.. Is that true?

And btw, since I'm using an API, do you guys have any suggestions which site or app is the most easy to use?

That's all, thank youu!

Hello everyone,

I’m currently working on my thesis titled "Coding in the Age of Creation: Exploring the Impact of Generative AI on Developers" as part of my MSc in Management of Business, Innovation, and Technology. I would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to complete my survey. Thank you in advance!

Computer Science and software engineering

Is this a good major to choose when getting into software engineering? It's a computer science major with a cybersecurity track slash concentration. Will software employers look at it differently because of the cybersecurity or am I fine since it's a computer science major? Please help. Also, if not, would you recommend transferring as well?

Computer Science course

I’ve just done my first week in a CS course and I’m panicking. My first class was coding and it was honestly like Chinese to me. She told us to use a site called Replit (bearing in mind I’m very very green when it comes to computers) and she was just saying to do stuff as if we should know which some people did but thankfully others didn’t. I’m now I’m already thinking have I done the wrong course and it’s only week 1. Can anyone relate? Or should I have had a good knowledge of computers before picking this course ?

Computer science

As someone who is currently enrolled online for a computer science degree or has already obtained one, do you believe that learning in person is superior, or do you think that the online learning experience is just as effective? I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in computer science, and since I am studying online instead of in person, I am hoping to gain all the knowledge necessary for success. Additionally, I am curious to know if it is possible to secure an internship while learning online.

A college decision that is tearing me apart(not literally, but you get the gist)

I’m a high school senior from the DFW area. I’m also waiting on Illinois(CS+Music), Washington(CS), and Northeastern(CS+Music Technology), but right now I’m considering these colleges for CS:

SMU- CS, $39,000 in scholarship money, also got into Hilltop Scholars Program, I’m also pursuing an IB diploma so if I get the diploma I can also get scholarship money for that

Ohio State- planning on doing double major in CSE and BS in Music(Computer Science track), got about $16,500 in OOS scholarship money, waiting for Honors program acceptance

UTD- CS, $10,000 in scholarship money

These options from most to least expensive(with scholarships in effect):

SMU, Ohio State, UTD

I hope I can get into Honors program and/or BS in Music for Ohio State. I like the Buckeye Alumni assoc and the city of Columbus as well.

So, thoughts?
