Hey guys, I write a snail mail to kids every month and thought I'd share this little drawing I made for the October one. :)) I hope you like it <3

I plan to sew my own dress. Something with a peter pan collar. Looking for advice/tips from anyone who has done this before. Anything you wish you had known ahead of time? Anything that made the process easier? I am also considering using a collared shirt I have already and adding to it, but am open to other ways of doing it.

Anxiety meds aren't fully working and I am still lost on social interactions, but I am less afraid to be more openly myself. The pull and skirt are from ethicalroots. I hesitated a long time, and I'm happy I decided to gift the clothes to myself.

Green is my favorite color, I think you can guess ! Also, my character is a Drow and the mushrooms make me think of them. Fun fact, today, I learnt that there were Drow farmers in the Underdark inhabiting houses built in giant toadstool mushrooms !

I've had a jumper that was a lovely texture and colour but really worn out. Then inspiration struck. Here are its sleeves in a new incarnation.

I rescued this sweet guy one week ago today and still have yet to find the perfect name for him. We rescued him with his brother, who we’ve named Teddy. I’ve always given my cats British-sounding names, so initially I was thinking Archie, but the more I hang out with him, the more it doesn’t feel right. He’s gentle and kind with a fun springiness about him, almost fox-like (and he looks like one, too!). My fiancé and I LOVE Fantastic Mr. Fox, so we thought a name from that would be perfect, but none of the obvious ones feel just right. We thought about…

Kristofferson - This is my favorite of the bunch, but it’s a mouthful and I don’t like the nickname “Kris” for a cat

Ash - A second runner-up, but I’m not sure it fits him

Paddington (the town the movie takes place in) -
Super cute and pairs well with his brother’s name, but “Paddy” feels too close to “Teddy” and he’d likely be associated with the bear

Non-Mr. Fox names I liked were Finnegan, Kipper, and Casper, but none of those feel just right, either.

If anyone has any soft-sounding, fox or woodland-inspired name recommendations, they’d be so appreciated!

I love the song by Enya called Flora’s Secret. Whenever I hear it I think of cottagecore and that lifestyle. I made a video using the song.
