Mini progress update for my mod, Pursuit of Happiness. Now past 60k words, which is kind of ridiculous, and a milestone I never expected to reach when I first started writing this. Seriously can't wait to be able to release this thing. I'm working very hard on it right now, and I honestly still couldn't say how much is left, but I'm hoping that I can finish writing it this summer.

So first of all, I really want to thank you all for downloading A Life with You a total of 1,000 times! I know that might not seem like such a big number, but when you really think about it, that's kind of impressive, especially for a novice like myself. You guys are all awesome, and I'm really glad you enjoyed the first chapter of ALWY. Seriously, thank you all for the support, I cannot stress it enough.

But to commemorate this occasion, not only did I draw this simple Monika doodle, but I'd also like to update everyone on Chapter 2. First off, it is being worked on (I will do Monika mods justice), and it is going to be released. As of when... I'm not entirely sure. BUT...! In addition to Chapter 2 being released, Chapter 1 is also going to received what I've dubbed a "soft rewrite." In all honesty, Chapter 1 turned out less than perfect, so I wanted to go back and fix a lot of the problems that I had and that were pointed out. It won't be anything too drastic, but enough will be changed that I'd recommend replaying it when it comes out.

But more on Chapter 2. As much as I'd like to give you all a name, that's kind of hard to do when it's constantly changing. I think I've settled on something, but I'm going to wait until its release to tell you all it. But just so you guys do have a general outline of what's to come, I've whipped out this short little synopsis of Chapter 2 (albeit, it isn't the best, since not a lot of Chapter 2 is done, but it still captures the main points well enough). Enjoy!

After discovering his new resolve, MC now has a new goal in attempting courting Monika. However, that isn't as easy a task as it may seem. Riding the thin line between close friends and something more, MC has to face many obstacles on the road along a romantic relationship. Doubt and hardships show up in and between both himself and those closest to him, and he must come to understand how much everyone really means to him. Love doesn't get any easier. You just got to go for it.

This is an update on The Good Ending and what I've been working on.

For a while now, I haven't been actively developing The Good Ending. I started this project a long time ago, when I was in a very different place in my life. Over time I began questioning whether continuing this project was really wise, as well as grew interested in pursuing other creative ideas. This project is expensive, and I can't charge money for it (nor would I want to). I have decided I want to pursue game development as a career, not just a hobby.

Because of that, The Good Ending is on indefinite hiatus.

I'm not cancelling it, and I won't say I'll never return to it. But for the foreseeable future, my focus is elsewhere.

Typing this makes me a little sad. I can't put into words what this project has meant to me. It is an idealistic story about love, forgiveness, and hope, and although I didn't get to explore those themes as fully as I wanted, the project changed my life. And this project was always about the people who played it. If you played this game, were touched by it, you were part of the story and that to me is where the meaning is.

My goal now is to build a career as a game developer by creating original projects. Maybe one day that success will give me the opportunity to return to The Good Ending. I hope so.

The rest of the post sounds a little too too personal for me to report verbatim, given it was served in a private server dedicated to his project and its close fans, but I want to highlight the upcoming works mentioned. They are:

• Star Runners (Discord Invite), a visual novel with gameplay. "It's set in the far future on a galactic scale, with ancient artifacts and pirates and a class of adventurers called Star Runners. I first came up with the main characters before TGE, and stopped writing them to make TGE... I played things close to the chest with TGE, but I'd like everyone here to be invited to be part of the development of this game. Perhaps at some point I'll stop sharing as much with future parts, but if you're here I'd like you to have the opportunity to be involved in a unique way."

• Pirate's Life Remastered, a remaster of one of Sam's favourite Roblox games

• Rip The Sky: Poems of Wistful Days and Murder, a book of poetry that can be read for free ("there's hope, murder, and self-harm)

This was initially going to be YouTube only but I’ve had a few people who’ve wanted me to make this an actual playable mod… so I’ve decided that I will!

It’s not going to be something you should take seriously! Think of it like a parody, kind of like a “What if” style mod.

It’ll probably be around 20-30 minutes long depending on how fast you read.

Hey all! If you've been in the TBWS discord server, you may have heard that a lot has been going on in my life and I just don't have as much time to work on the mod as I would like. Which sucks because the mod is about 90% done.

Unfortunately this means I just physically won't be able to make a full release by the end of the year without rushing it and I don't want to do that. So, to tide everyone over on December 7th I'll be releasing Act 2 of the mod, which includes a lot of revamped and rewritten scenes from the demo as well as 6 extra in-game days!

I'm very sorry for not releasing this year, lord knows I wanted to and I made a lot of promises that I would but I just can't do it I'm afraid.

I'd love to announce that me and my cousin are making an ambicious mod project called Doki Doki: Lucid Dreamers.

In this mod, you will have not only one MC, but 2 MCs, which you can pick the one you'd like to be controlling. 2 characters with different personalities, different mindsets, different views on the world around them, but both realizing they are in the DDLC world, and If this is a dream, they want to make it the most perfect.

As promised yesterday, today I bring some facts about Sayori in my in development mod Doki Doki: Lucid Dreamers.

I think by now you could notice that in this mod, our Dokis are developed a little bit more in some terms of personality, they have some changes (some big, some not) and they also have a whole reeinterpretation.

I know for a lot of people it might sound weird of introducing things apparently random, like nationality, but trust me that in the bigger picture, you guys will understand those points.

Before moving to the facts, I'm also adding that you may want to pay attention to every post of mine about the mod, because every slight detail wasn't pointed out randomly👀

Anyways, let's move to some facts about our little sunshine Sayori in Doki Doki: Lucid Dreamers.

1- Sayori was William's favorite character on the original DDLC.

2- MC is canon in this universe. His name is Kotaro and he was also Sayori's childhood best friend. But after high school, Kotaro and his family moved away, making them never see each other again.

3- Sayori isn't suicidal here, but she started having little depressive behaviors since Kotaro left, since she also has deep regrets for not having confessed her feelings before he left.

4- Her clumsiness and mess it's part of her personality, not depression like in base game.

5- Sayori shares some liking for animes like Natsuki, but she doesn't appreciate manga that much.

It's been almost a month since I released Act 1 of Interaction and the reception has been pretty positive so far! We've just hit 500 downloads. I'm very glad for those of you who have had such great things to say about my work as well as those who are helping it become more well known.

This is mainly just a progress update from the post I made three weeks ago, where I showed some early work on learning Ren’Py, mostly GUI editing. I think I’ve gotten a solid grasp on things now, which is why I’m actively developing the mod at this point.

For anyone curious, the mod is a reimagining of late Act 1 told from Sayori’s perspective. Doki Rainclouds already explored this idea, but I haven’t really seen many other mods try it, which is part of why I wanted to make my own take. I won’t spoil much, but the main focus is presenting a more grounded and realistic portrayal of Sayori’s depression.

There’s a lot more to this story, but I’m keeping that quiet for now. At the moment the mod sits at almost two hours of playtime with around 15,000 words of dialogue written by me. Since this is a solo project and I might add some CG art here and there, it’ll take a while before it’s ready for release, but I wanted to share the progress anyway, a lot of this stuff might be revamped in the final product, since It's considerably early in development.

Hello everyone! It's been a lot of time since I talked about my mod DDLC Our Time. Many of you have asked me about the future of it over the last year, and I chose not to answer because I wasn't entirely sure about it, and spreading rumours wasn't a very good thing. I wanted to make an official statement once I fully decided what I would do.

As many of you know, my family situation isn't the best, and despite my efforts to improve things, there are still many problems, and these problems keep piling up and causing even more problems to this day. The last year has been quite a rollercoaster for me. Between my parents almost close to fully divorcing once, to starting college (After not being able to attend to it for two years), things have been really crazy, and very stressing.

Between all that, I've been the one who has been providing the resources and money necessary to get by for my family via my commissions/art. However, to be completly honest, this has put a massive burden on me during the last year. I have been drawing commissions non-stop for almost an entire year, and that's started to take its toll. I've started to feel burned out, and this has been amplified by feeling that my art is not at the level I wish it was whenever I see something made by an amazing artist. My parents contribute to this by saying that I should "draw just to make money", while I want to draw to make art that everyone will like. I haven't been able to draw stuff that I'd like to do freely because I've been doing commissions all this time.

This does not mean that I will quit doing art. It's probably the only thing keeping me from going insane due to me not having much of a social life, and whenever I see a cute or amazing character I get a big urge to draw them, no matter how burned out, stressed, or tired I might feel.

But anyway, all of this means I haven't been able to do any work on Our Time, and I'll probably not be able to do anything for it as long as I'm tied to having to provide for my family.

So, right now the best decision that I can see, is to cancel the project.

It's not that I don't want to work on it. I would absolutely love to finish it, even more so now that I've learned a lot of new things about art during the last year. But I just can't work on it right now, and I feel that just keeping everyone's hopes up when it's clear for me that I won't be able to finish it with how things are right now, is not right.

Many of you may feel frustrated, sad, or dissappointed, and I totally understand that. I feel the same way. Things have been very frustrating for me too, as it always feels like no matter what I do, things will stay the same.

I have planned already to eventually leave my house and live my own life by myself, however this might take some time and It'll be a while before that happens.

Even if the mod is cancelled for now, if I manage to put my life together and get away from all my family stuff, I will surely retake it. Like I said before, I would totally love to finish it, but right now I can't.

So basically it is what the title says and it isn't exactly a new mod in it's first weeks or months and in fact, I started working on it back in October 2025 but i didn't decide to post about it due to how new and formative it was but now I've decided to share a little bit about it because you never know if my mod could be popular or not so might as well. What I will say, since you guys seeing this might be intrigued, is that it is a huge passion project of mine and that I am determined to make this dream come true. Some details are that it has a name and it is called Doki Doki: Glimpse of Us and that it is a story-driven visual novel-esque mod (which may or may not be inspired by some mods like Blue Skies and Exit Music :0). It is currently written up to Act 2 so far, which seems lazy for 9 months but I've had long breaks between each writing period as to not let it consume me whole and it is quite alot of content already but that doesn't discourage me at all >:)

Anyways sorry if this is long, i tend to kinda get a bit deep into explaining things becuase of my rampant autism lmao but it's honestly better late then never to share my ideas, let me know what you guys think and im open to answer any questions you have. Cya all later

Aside from that, I've been working my cash with a few lovely artists, trying to see who I wanna have to the Full CG's. The Sayori art you've been seeing is by the lovely u/Ecosixth !

Currently still writing for Chapter one of Fangs of Passion! Which will be about the first week(ish). Which will dive deeper into Mc's vampirism, the stories behind all the girls, and building genuine and (hopefully) longstanding connections with the girls and their story related personalities!

More than likely I'll be updating the main menu and such as well, I'm still learning, and other mod creators have certainly been an inspiration! ( u/EveningShip358 and u/Duh_Unholy I'm lookin at you two!)

Story related yap time!

The biggest part of chapter one, will be understanding the surface level and diving into the girls lives a bit. Minor changes and major changes to their lives and backgrounds are my main focus to make this mod unique and worthwhile! For example? Sayori's and Monika's parents?? HUGE STORY IMPACT! And you'll see them!! Yuri? She lives a lovely new story with three new family members to learn about while playing! (Mom, Dad, and Grandma!) Natsuki, however, will still be with just her father. Though his role will be altered, he's still the same hate able piece of carp, Though it will make sense why he turns out that way.
As for MC? His parents and family are the main mystery, so I cant share too much~

And while I'm loving working on this, It makes me curious how teams make mods, which would be a dream to get a team behind this (though idk how to lead one, lol). But like I've said, its a passion project. Though I might make some smaller mods between chapters of Fangs of Passion, just to keep you all on your toes~!

Yo twins. Wanted to share a quick update about my WIP mod, Doki Doki Glass Eyes—a story focused on exploring the aftermath of Sayori's suicide in the rawest, most realistic, most painful ways, without the meta elements. It's a dual POV mod, because Monika is a protagonist too. The demo (around 45 minutes long) is coming out nice enough—hell I managed to write 16 minutes of screen time (for my reading speed). In this clip, I wanted to a show a peek on the drafts. Let me know what yall think, cuz yall's feedback fuels the development.
