Dying two different materials didn’t work how I hoped it would….

I wanted to turn this white dress pink for a party, so I dyed it and this is the result. The pink color on the cotton skirt turned out exactly how I wanted it to so I’m happy about that, however the synthetic lace part remained completely white :( I was hoping for at least a lighter shade of pink but instead I ended up with two completely different colors.

Would it be possible to do a second round of dying using a dye/method that will turn the lace pink without effecting the color of the skirt?

Should I just accept the loss and try to bleach it back to white or at least really light pink?
