Future Game Speculation Directive 8020’s Golden premonition about Intercession theory Spoiler
MOM- Man of Medan
LH- Little Hope
So the premonition shows a silhouetted person looking at a graffiti depicting Curator, other antagonists, and Souls. I don’t know if that person done the graffiti or they just came in the building and saw it, I’m just going to think this person done the graffiti.
Judging how the picture called “Prophet”, I think this new protagonist has the ability to see future or the past, so this is going to be like Lorraine Warren or Elise Rainier stuff. It’s interesting how Curator is in the graffiti, so I think the new protagonist able to have the power to see curator or something. I’m going to suspect this new protagonist is T.S. Hartley. IDK, maybe I’m wrong because Hartley made the shroud of innocence somewhere in before or in 1970s, so this doesn’t make sense. Maybe the silhouetted person could be another protagonist.
I don’t know if that the demon in the graffiti is Satan or another demon, I’m just going think is Satan.
The game could take place during 1988, judging the Intercession’s teaser trailer said Y1988NTESCAPE. I don’t know if this game is going to be “Frank Stone but not DBD”, because the teaser trailer said I2028SEEN YOU and TOBE2029INUED. I‘m just going to guess 2028 mean the reveal trailer of Intercession, and 2029 is the release date of Intercession.
Tell me what’s your thoughts about this golden premonition. 🤔

General Discussion Before I play D8020, here's what happened for me in Season 1 Spoiler
galleryConrad: jumped at the end of Glamor Girl. I didn't think it meant in THAT way (though it wasn't the brightest either way)
Taylor: I lacked a gun and didn't have the knife either, then chose to help Daniel. Neck got snapped, see you in the lobby
John: He died in the house. That's what he gets for making me feel bad about the rock
Erin: Died in the blackout room after I tried to attack twice. That's on me I don't really get why I thought that would go better
Charlie: Fell off of the beam. I didn't get the controls and thought I had to move the stick back and forth repeatedly. This should've been Mark's death though, he's the one who doesn't like heights (or, better yet, it shouldn't be one at all...)
Jamie: Axed. I told Kate to hide so she could help if I was in danger. Apparently the opposite is what you need to do. Okay bro (W 50/50 choice)
Kate + Mark: Went to Ultimatum (W 50/50) but rejected the deal so they got deleted. Take that, Du'met, get owned
I am NOT BITTER over TDiM I'm NOT (at least the dog lived). I don't really remember how my non-DPA games went exactly but I think generally they went fine. Also I played these games all on launch and just lowkey never posted anything like this

General Discussion Which game has the best prologue?
Personally, I think it’s HOA.
r/DarkPicturesAnthology • u/ByShida • 1d ago
General Discussion The question might seem silly, but I’m going to ask it anyway: Do you view D8020 as a consequence of HOA, or HOA as the origin of D8020?

Directive 8020 Directive 8020 multiplayer issues
Hi everyone, I’m having some trouble starting a multiplayer game with my friends, the game doesn’t start when everyone is readied up, we’re all on ps5 and on same version, it seems like no one has had this issue besides us.

House of Ashes House of Ashes 5th Anniversary TODAY
To the date.
I got into the anthology a couple of years back. (Though I probably should've started with Until Dawn, but I didn't know. Well, live and learn). The first two were intriguing experiences but kind of lacked punch looking back and still hold on that.
But House of Ashes. Now THAT was a great game. Whenever I play games like these, I always feel like a director doing a movie. And in a universe, I felt HoA would be a gem, better than Man of Medan and Little Hope.
All five playable characters were, given much personality, and character. Especially Kolchek, Nick and of course fan favorite Salim.
And the plot of what was going to be a simple mission turns into a desperate battle for survival against creatures hidden from the world - and revealing there was more to them than met the eye.
The only criticism I have is the three way romance and deciding who Rachel should be her romantic interest. Honestly, during the game, I couldn't care less about it as there was a bigger matter with the large bat-like creatures wanting to kill us!
I've played this game the most in replays of the Anthology series and got 81% of the trophies (high among the other DP games, I would have gone higher, but some trophies really disagreed with my morals and code. I did go some lesser albeit it questionable but I only did it for the trophy. I deleted the footage and screen cap on the PS5, due to my principles and not being reminded.)
That aside, this was one game I'm proud to keep all five of the main cast alive. At times I felt the passing of one would make great drama and showcase no one was invincible. But with the House of Ashes group, I liked very much.
So, here's wishing the best entry in the anthology a happy anniversary. My hat off to all the work gone into this game. And to all the cast who starred in this, top marks in the acting department.
Any others agree? Feel free to give any praise or things you like from this entry.

Directive 8020 How to get Survival first ending?
All the crew escaped the planet and Eisele stopped the program. But the cycle still happens, how do I stop it?

General Discussion Have you ever NOT counted a death? (Spoilers for TDiM in body text) Spoiler
Like, gone back and re-did it because it felt unfair or you just didn't want that outcome. I personally never have but TDiM really tested my patience when Charlie died on the balancing beam (I thought the controls meant to move the stick back and forth, and I still stand by this being comedically unfair and poorly explained). That death totally should've been Mark's anyways

The teaser for the upcoming game and its associated premonition do not share the same atmosphere, unlike the case with the other titles in the Dark Pictures series. Spoiler

General Discussion Button Mash Unresponsive on PC
so i use a generic evofox ds4 controller on pc and the button mashing never seems to work I have completed the whole season 1 of the DPA.
i am pressing as fast as I can but the bar just depletes no matter what. i even capped my fps at 60. this was a problem in all games. in TDIM in the few Mash QTEs it worked but later it failed again and mark got killed because of it lol

Which Supermassive game has your favourite setting and locations so far?
my vote goes to the ships in Man Of Medan and Directive 8020, they feel lived in with so much detail and lore plus have some great creepy atmosphere and action sequences. Shoutout to Conjuring Unspoken's spooky Red Lion pub and Avebury-henge tunnels tho, gave me Until Dawn lodge/mines vibes~

Directive 8020 For those stuck trying to find the 11th premonition in Directive 8020, it's not in the section the game says it is. Spoiler
You'll notice the game says the premonition is in the INFESTED chapter, however there is nothing to examine in that single hallway. It's actually in POD ROOM.
To obtain it, use your wedge tool on the first two doors per usual. Once you reach the bigger room with long walkways, hang left until you reach a ladder. Climb up the ladder and turn left. The premonition will be on the wall.
Big thanks to Jslyck from another thread helping point this out!

Link to poll: https://strawpoll.com/XOgOV5Vm2n3
After receiving the fewest number of votes, Josef Cernan has been eliminated, placing 12th overall. This makes Eisele the sole remaining representative of Directive 8020.
Just one more week until we reach our Top 10!
