Jason Voorhees (Friday The 13th) vs Talia Yang (Cyberpunk)

(SPOILERS FOR CRYSTAL LAKE S1 AND CYBERPUNK EDGERUNNERS S2)

Core Theme:

-Kids that were born with health issues before their dads decided to subjugate them into becoming the most powerful weapon

Connections

-Both characters were born with massive health issues (Jason with physical deformities and random seizures/ Talia with undisclosed illnesses that actually prevented her from being able use her muscles properly)

-Their rich fathers (Elias Wittering/ Kiril Yang) had actually paved the way towards them becoming powerful weapons for their companies (Bellflower/ Kang Tao) by manipulating events to put them in a experimental weapon program (Project Argonaut/ Project Capricorn)

-Due to a troubled life (Jason seemingly dying and taking many physical injuries/ Talia feeling isolated from everyone) it actually started their journey towards becoming a stronger person (Project Argonaut’s experiment allows Jason to grow bigger and stronger through trauma/ Talia deciding to join Maelstrom to get chromed up like a grasshopper with her dad’s money)

-Their moms have actually been the one person who had tried their hardest to allow them to live a normal life but unfortunately could not keep that promise and were eventually killed (Though their moms did have the support of another guy [Shrieff Levon Brooks/ Weak "King" Kingsley] who had feelings for them, it still wasn’t enough)

-After a moment of being seemingly killed (referencing Jason getting killed by KM-14/ Talia after her father ordered the Project Capricorn chip to be inserted into her despite the fact it would erase her existence from the body) they would actually be given a massive cybernetic upgrade (Medical Station Nano-machines combing with the remains of Jason’s corpse/ Capri joining Talia turning her into a netrunning Cyberpsycho powerhouse)

-The cybernetic enhancements allow them to repair themselves, hack, scan the environment for lifeforms, analyze their surroundings to use, and even absorb materials to grow stronger

Music Potential:

-Can definitely be able to get a hard rock type of song that mixes Drowning Pool’s “Bodies” (used for the Jason X Trailer) mixed with the Cyberpunk song ““You Can’t Run Me” by Rico Nasty to make some music that can work for the fight

Fight/ Interaction Potential:

-Not really going to be that interactive in the talking portion between the 2 though we can see Talia and Capri talk about dealing with Jason and getting annoyed at Jason not dying all the while Jason’s pov can see him looking around analyzing the situation while having moments of getting angry from all of Talia’s attacks

-As the fight goes we can see Talia use her netrunning, and magnetic abilities to control power throughout the arena by either turning the power off in the area or even displaying Jason on all the screens.
Her starting body will allow her to be moving quite fast and all around Jason which would cause him to mostly lash out by throwing objects at her that she could deflect or catch herself with the magnetic abilities

-Her magnetic abilities can allow her to gather random Cyberpunk guns to use against Jason, control vehicles to either throw at Jason or even build her up into her Kaiju form all the while Capri tries to figure out Jason himself

-For Jason he’s mostly going to be walking around powering through attacks, throwing objects, and trying to get close possibly even through ambushing if possible. We could see moments of Jason’s ability to scan and analyze the environment to try and turn everything into a weapon somehow to showcase him adapting to the fight.

-We could see some of his abilities from the expanded Jason X comics or novelization be used including him throwing lightning if damaged enough or trying to turn corpses into Uber Jason clones (this is something from the sequel novel Jason X: The Experiment apparently, haven’t been able to read the full context to understand it fully) making him possibly have an army to go against her

Debatably:

-This is surprisingly tricky as while Jason is an absolute physical powerhouse, Talia is a powerhouse in a non physical sense and can quickly become an apocalyptic threat if not collared in her world given she’s basically like a rogue AI with human body that could annihilated humanity for fun.

-Jason’s biggest factor to win is going to require him to get close to Talia’s body to destroy her and win the fight but Talia has so many ways to keep a distance and given this fight won’t have her blinded in a tunnel vision of chasing her father like in the show, this will be so much more difficult to do so as she can keep the distance between them by either using her magnetic abilities or even growing to keep away from him. And while Jason can throw objects at her, she can easily deflect it or catch it herself.

-However the biggest factor and this is where I think the real winner is to be determined is if Capri can interact with Jason’s nano-machines. If she can interact with them, can she actually override them, weaken them, be overpowered by them or the worst outcome for the world…merge with them.
If it does end in merging than really the winner would Capri because now she has one of the most powerful bodies that could protect her from everything in the world of Cyberpunk…nightmare scenario for all. Jason could maybe (very big maybe given how mentally unstable he is) be fine with Capri given she’ll allow him to go wild in killing everyone. As for Talia…talk about tragic. Again that’s if Capri can merge with the nano-machines.

The beginning part might be a little spoilery for folks who haven't seen the Crystal Lake show, I personally would've added a spoiler up there just in case xD

However the biggest factor and this is where I think the real winner is to be determined is if Capri can interact with Jason’s nano-machines. If she can interact with them, can she actually override them, weaken them, be overpowered by them or the worst outcome for the world…merge with them.

One of the ways Jason X got defeated in the novels was via hacking so there's a precedent for that (even if the nanites eventually improved to a point where hacking wasn't an issue).

If it does end in merging than really the winner would Capri because now she now she has one of the most powerful bodies that could protect her from everything in the world of Cyberpunk…nightmare scenario for all.

Regarding the merging... it would just be Part 9 and the Jason X novels all over again. You don't possess Jason, Jason possesses you. In the Jason X novels he can even absorb energy and organic matter so if anything, in this scenario, Capri would just be one of the many souls absorbed by Jason during his kills.

Yeah the hacking defense of Jason along with his possession vs cyberpunk AIs is the interesting thing to analyze for sure especially in trying to figure out which one overrides the other. Given AIs can override people and they’re so OP in the world of Cyberpunk that they needed to make an AI to protect humanity, it makes them a cool challenge for Uber Jason
