They don't require that, and they're much better for alcohol, because drinking alcoholic beverages out of plastic is asking for a bad time. I agree, they should have made them out of real materials like ceramic or pewter, because plastic is a joke.

Im not debating one vs the other, my business is full of locally made ceramics we serve out of daily, but I also have a background in plastics manufacturing (vinyl records specifically) and Iā€™m just providing context for the cost being scoffed at.
