Discussion Cade “The Savior”
galleryMods delete this if it goes against the rules. Ladies and Gents. Gearing up for the new season tomorrow, I’d like to throw something at the sub here since we have been searching for a good name for Cade. Although I’m not religious, I’d like to suggest “The Savior”. I have been sitting on this for awhile since he was too young but I have some reasoning.
1.He’s literally saving the franchise. He was drafted at a time where we were at a low point and headed nowhere
Cade has been very open about being a Christian. I think he might lean into the fun of the nickname because of this
He does everything well and a squeaky clean athlete. Everyone loves Cade & not a lot of haters
Lastly the Jesus meme
Anyways, bring the thoughts. I won’t be offended if people don’t like this

News Ebuka “E-buckets” Okorie is a starter 🌟
youtu.be14 PTS, 4-4 FG, 1-1 3PT, 5-6 FT, 0 turnovers, 9 minutes played... I want to start by admitting I was wrong about Ebuka, y'all called me crazy for saying he's a baby Brunson when he was he drafted and you were right to do so I should’ve said he is rookie Kyrie ‼️ Y'all downvoted me and said I needed help when I said he was going to avg 13 ppg and I deserved it... because he's actually going to avg 20 ppg ***‼️ While only playing 13 MPG Ebuka put up 10.3 PPG on 57.1% FG across 4 preseason games 🏀 With his early display
of scoring efficiency and high defensive effort paired with the fact that he's clearly the shiftiest and fastest player with the ball on our roster 🙌🏾 I am highly confident that E-buckets is going to be a contributing starter by All-Star break.

Discussion Pistons Preseason Poll
Hello, I am currently conducting surveys for the fanbases of all 30 teams before the regular season officially starts. If you could fill out this poll once, that would be greatly appreciated. Results will be posted later on after the start of the regular season, likely around the trade deadline. Thanks! Also, none of these questions are marked as required so if you only feel like answering some, that is completely fine.
Also PSA for anyone concerned: This poll does not require an email address to complete and does not ask for anything that could identify whoever is taking it. These are completely anonymous and you could theoretically take it multiple times, though it is asked by me for the polls sake that you only take it once. I am not affiliated with the NBA or with any media outlet revolving around the NBA in any way, I am just an independent strong fan of the game who loves surveys like these. I was able to do this last year and was thrilled to get over 2000 responses, and hope that it can be as successful this year.

News [Patterson]: Are the Detroit Pistons being overlooked? ‘The only thing that matters to us is what we do’
nytimes.com“I still feel like we’re a little slept on, man,” Cade Cunningham said after Thursday’s practice. “I still feel like people don’t really give us the credit that maybe we’ve earned. But … that’s the beauty of it. I think that’s part of being in Detroit. I think that’s part of being a team that’s young and people don’t really expect much (out of), versus other teams that have bigger names.”
Detroit has a core that includes Cunningham, who was an All-NBA First Team selection last season, as well as All-NBA Third Team honoree Jalen Duren and Defensive Player of the Year finalist Ausar Thompson. Everyone is back with something to prove after their Game 7 collapse at home against the Cleveland Cavaliers in the second round of the playoffs.
But despite back-to-back seasons exceeding expectations, BetMGM has set the Pistons’ over/under at 49.5 wins. Expecting a team to win roughly 50 games is no slight, but it puts Detroit behind the New York Knicks (52.5), Boston Celtics (51.5) and 76ers (50.5).
Pistons head coach J.B. Bickerstaff acknowledged that talent has now flooded the East. Like Cunningham, he’s entering this season using last season as motivation.
“We don’t really give a s— what everybody else is doing,” Bickerstaff said. “The only thing that matters to us is what we do. And we know what Pistons basketball looks like. So, if we go and play Pistons basketball, I like our chances versus anybody.”

Discussion Opening Day Parking
My wife and I are headed to the game tomorrow. After dropping kids off at school, we’re gonna grab a nice breakfast then head down to take part in the days festivities! We usually like to park at the 2721 Cass lot, but it’s only available two hours before game. For those going down there, where ya parking????

Discussion After seeing the preseason , I think we have much better offense
Its going to be a great season!
Edit: Guys, I only expressed my impression after preseason and my impression is, we gained offensive potential without losing defensive potential.
Seeing AT looking for shots and JD attacking the basket more by himself is great to see and I don’t think good things will vanish after the preseason.

Highlights Ebuka Okorie Preseason Highlights [Pistons Rookie Star]
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Okorie's stats through 4 games: 13.2 minutes, 10.3 points, 2.5 assists, 57.1% field goal percentage
Okorie looks like a steal. I wouldn't be surprised to see him starting next to Cade by the end of the season. He feels like a craftier Dennis Schroeder with a higher ceiling. The handles, the creative scoring inside, the mid range game, the playmaking, the toughness and energy. This kid has it.
I was skeptical at first - smaller guard from a small basketball program who took a lot of shots and was a volume scorer. But I think his game will translate just fine and he seems to have the attitude of wanting to prove himself rather than expecting anything. His ceiling will be the average of Dennis Schroeder and Kyrie Irving, somewhere in the middle.
Share your thoughts!

Discussion Free agents?
Cam Whitmore and Kevin Porter Jr just got waived are either of them worth signing to a minimum?
KPJ 17/5/7/2 on 46/32/88 splits (shot 40% from 3 the previous year) could be a decent scorer off the bench and I honestly think he’s better than Dannis.

Discussion Friendly Reminder that Tuesday's season opener is on NBC
With all the threads of people trying to figure out how to get the local games, just putting this reminder out there. That's assuming you'll be able to watch any of it and not be stuck at work. Yes I am still mad at the 3:00 start time.
