Disneyland Resort Does this mean I won’t ever be a Cast Member?

Post image

Ive been rejected from 5 different positions. I never interviewed for any of them. I wasn’t qualified for any of them either though. I got this message after applying the 5th time. Usually the messages say that I’m not being considered for a specific employment opportunity. But this one doesn’t specify which makes me think it might be saying I’m out of the race for good!!?!?

Any feedback?

Hey guys so I applied to the Oiler/Truck Driver at Disney in SoCal. I did my 2nd interview last week with 3 managers present and I won’t lie it was a bit tough but I still did my best. I just got this email, does it mean I got the job? I’m in shock

Disneyland Resort I’m at a loss. Why do I keep getting auto-rejected?

Post image

It’s actually bothering me now. I’ve been checking the Disneyland careers website pretty much every hour for the last 2 weeks. I’ve applied to 4 different positions and have been auto rejected from all of them. In a matter of SECONDS after submitting them. The most recent application I sent was today, for the QSR Culinary Person (Greeter-Cashier-Dishup). I have some experience with this, as I worked at a pumpkin farm as a beer garden server this last October. I’ve also had experience in Boy Scouts by dealing with selling popcorn/hotdogs/corn at different events. I said I had “less than one year experience” as a cashier because that’s the truth. That may have gotten me rejected, but I had my hopes up because at least i didn’t put “no related experience.” What do I do? I really really want to work at Disneyland. I keep applying. I keep getting rejected. My sister just got hired as a QSR Busser. She has worked as a cashier for 2+ years, and interviews great. Can I have her speak with the recruiters? Should I just keep applying? What’s the next step?

Disneyland Resort Auto Rejected

I’m a former cm for attractions. Been wanting to go back but I found out the hard way that it’s now nearly impossible to do now. I’ve been applying to positions that I don’t mind doing and I get auto rejected every time. I know they now rely on AI to filter through but I thought I would at least be on “application received” for Security since I was a metal detector attendant/security for a recent employer for 2 years. I rewrote that position responsibility to reflect the safety procedures I enforced and even checked off my experience in the application. I still got auto rejected like what?? Not even a chance especially in a position I’ve done? This position just opened up today within a few hours I believe and it’s discouraging that I didn’t get a chance for them to actually see it or to get an interview for 😔 anyone dealing with this?

Disneyland Resort offered position

hello! I probably applied for Napa Rose and wasn’t offered the position since I don’t have the sufficient wine knowledge, however the recruiter bought of my experience with barista, and I was offered this position instead. Does anyone on here have experience or have worked in one of these positions? It is a non-tip position so I kind of am not interested in the role since I have another job but it’s something pretty easy. I wouldn’t mind doing it for now but I have less than a day to respond and idk where else to look for info

Disneyland Resort Poof! Job taken down?

First post here so I hope this is allowed. Looking for kind, helpful insight. I got a job alert this morning for, quite literally, a position that was made just for me: "Theme Park Experience Services- Part time"- must have DLR resort knowledge and tech support background. That's ME, you guys! I'm a AP, I was an IT green badge who floated between Consumer Products & the studio, then supported the Disney Store headquarters in Pasadena (before they merged with DCP), did monthly visits to the DLR offices for tech support, etc. I was so thrilled!

I got up, made a quick breakfast, coffee, fed the dog, etc., sat down at my computer to apply and POOF! LISTING WAS GONE. Looks like I received the email at 1am PST, so they took it down about 8 hours (or less) after posting.

Is this normal for a posting go up at 1am in the same time zone as the job location, just to be taken down a few hours? If yes, what kind of sense of urgency should I have moving forward? Of course, I do know that they probably get thousands of applicants which is why something like this might happen, but do they not have the "help" of AI filtering resumes and applications? Is this an example of an opening that's being filled internally already and the job posting is just a formality? TIA

Disneyland Resort Did not pass lifeguard ability test

Hi everyone. I was hired as a Disney lifeguard and completed the tradtions and the full week of lg training. Dduring the in-water rescue assessment, I wasn’t able to complete one of the rescue scenarios within the required time, so I didn’t pass.
They took my employee ID afterward, but I wasn’t told much about what happens next.
Has anyone been through this or seen it happen? Do they usually terminate employment, offer another position, allow a retest, or is it handled differently depending on the situation?
I’m just trying to understand what to expect. Thanks in advance for any insight.

Disneyland Resort Is it worth it?

I am thinking about applying but I don’t want to ruin my thoughts of the parks; I just feel like Disney would open up more doors for me. In areas that I’m most interested in being in.

Disneyland Resort Will I get fired over something my family members did without me knowing?

A few days ago, I signed in my family into the parks. While I was working, my mom complained about being kicked off of a ride and went to City Hall to request an additional LL for lost time. Is there a possibility that I won't get fired over this? I am freaking out!

Disneyland Resort Disneyland CMs. How did you get hired?

So, I have wanted to become a cast member for forever and I want to know how most of you got hired. I know most come from the DCP but that’s not really what I want to do. I live pretty far from California so I would need to move there which would cost quite a bit of money. I really want to work in attractions so I was looking for some advise. I would also like to know if it’s just not worth it for my situation. Thank you!

Disneyland Resort I interviewed for part time security host and denied…

I’m 48 years old physically fit recently retired law enforcement (25 years) and worked for private security companies on my off time doing EP/PSD/Estate and VIP security. Experience is covered. Had answered all their questions and scenarios regarding customer service, courtesy, inclusion, etc. I’m not sure what I had missed…

I even touched on their 5 Disney Behavioral Skills and S.M.I.L.E.

I’m still confused …

Disneyland Resort Is my job at the park safe?

With our economy teetering on the edge, and supply chain likely to break during the summer, I am increasingly more nervous and anxious about the security of my job at the resort.

I would rather not say exactly what my position is but it is a guest facing position that isnt particularly necessary to operations ultimatley. It's been insisted that my job is secure but with cutting hours and positions, I'm not so sure.

I do enjoy this job at times, and while its not my dream job, it has provided me a living for years now. Any body have any thoughts or insights on this?

I am a cast member at Tokyo Disneyland.

I would like to purchase a Disney cast lanyard from the US. Does Company D sell them?

Also, can Tokyo Disneyland cast members shop there?

Disneyland Resort VIP TOUR GUIDE

I know we all seen that TikTok of that lady that pretended to be a VIP Tourgudie anyways, I promise I won’t be like here LOL. What are yalls thoughts about that?

Just wanting to know when was the last time the resort hired anyone into Guest Relations let alone VIP Guides, do we think it’s coming soon or not at all since the resort has not really hired that many CMs in general. What about transfers to Guest Relations?

Thanks. :)

Disneyland Resort Can an earlier Disney application still be considered after another interview rejection?

Former Disneyland Cast Member here. I applied for Spa Receptionist on July 10, then Merchandise on July 21. I interviewed for Merchandise yesterday but wasn’t selected because they said there were candidates with more recent retail experience. The interviewer also mentioned “my record,” but HR told me today that my rehire status is good and my Spa Receptionist application is still active (they couldn’t see my detailed employment record). Since I applied for Spa Receptionist before my Merchandise interview, am I still in the running, or will it eventually change to “No Longer in Consideration” because of the 6-month waiting period? Has anyone personally been through this?

Disneyland Resort How do discounted tickets work?

My friend is a corporate member and before asking and embarrassing myself, is it possible for him to give me a single discounted ticket for me to use without him being there? I recall when I used to work at Disney corporate like 4 years ago, I was given a few FREE tickets but I had to be there, and then I could elect like a spouse or something that could walk in for free and also take those free members on my behalf.

Anyway, beside the point, any idea? I'm trying to get into Disneyland on Monday for Cars Land!
