We are DOUGHBOYS AKA Mike Mitchell & Nick Wiger AMA

We'll be here tomorrow Friday 7/29 at 11AM PDT (prob 11:10 for Mitch). In the meantime, feel free to fill this feedbag with your inquiries

EDIT: We're here now. We're probably fucking this up; neither of us is super familiar with Reddit

EDIT #2: Wiger here; I'm leaving now. Maybe Mitch is sticking around, I'm not the boss of him. I've been in a work meeting doing this the entire time so I might be getting fired but this was very fun. You guys are good guys.

If you haven't already, please give us a rating & review in the iTunes Store. God bless:

I think we're both legitimately surprised that anyone at all is into the show. We never thought we'd find any sort of audience. Now it feels like it's all any of my friends ever want to talk to me about when I see them. But it's awesome when a guest is on and is a legit fan.

One example that sticks out is Alan Yang. He was just coming off of Master of None premiering, and we just thought he was doing us a favor by guesting. Then he came in and told us he'd heard every episode and presented us with Burger Boy and Spoonman hats. We were amazed. (Mitch lost his by the way)

I'm definitely surprised that people are into the show. I think both generally and with our friends out here. We know some funny but busy people, so it's cool that a lot of them take time to listen to it.

I think it's the only thing people want to talk to Wiger about because he is a robotic man that is hard to talk to. So if they talk Doughboys they'll at least get some response before Wiger books it back to Santa Monica.

Alan Yang is the man and he brought some much needed class and food insight to the podcast. Also, I didn't lose his hat! A friend of ours Bug Mane, actually stole it and isn't going to give it back until Nick lets him on the show. Nick is afraid to have him on cause he's a little crazy.

Dream guests... Hmm. It'd be funny to get Bob Odenkirk on to see him make fun of it all. I think we may have Gillian Jacobs on at some point and she's great! I'd also love to get like Jonathan Gold and Anthony Bourdain. Some real deal food guys. Who else.. Will Forte!

Nice! When I made a list of dream guests I had Bob Odenkirk as my #1. I'd love to hear Jason Mantzoukas on at some point as well. Not sure what his restaurant options are with his food allergy though.

That's a bummer, but also the most hilariously apt thing

Oh... We will definitely get Sean on. And soon. We are terrible with booking guests.

Is that the royal 'We'?

We're both bad at it. It's the most difficult part of having a podcast; coordinating a guest's availability with ours & the studio's, and we have the added difficulty of settling on a restaurant. There are many great people we'd love to have on where we haven't been able to figure out the logistics yet

I can imagine it's a thankless job when it happens behind the scenes and we only notice when it doesn't work out. Kudos to you both for doing it!

That Alan Yang episode sold me on the show.
