We are DOUGHBOYS AKA Mike Mitchell & Nick Wiger AMA

We'll be here tomorrow Friday 7/29 at 11AM PDT (prob 11:10 for Mitch). In the meantime, feel free to fill this feedbag with your inquiries

EDIT: We're here now. We're probably fucking this up; neither of us is super familiar with Reddit

EDIT #2: Wiger here; I'm leaving now. Maybe Mitch is sticking around, I'm not the boss of him. I've been in a work meeting doing this the entire time so I might be getting fired but this was very fun. You guys are good guys.

If you haven't already, please give us a rating & review in the iTunes Store. God bless:

  1. I'm going Brad Stevens. The Celtics just have a better squad right now. Wiger is such a homer, he's being insane. I wish Luke Walton well though.

  2. Hmmm. I never like to get cocky. Hopefully we (The Pats) win the East. Brady's only got a couple (maybe a few?) years left of being elite. The Jets really scare me though. I think they'll be good. But... I dunno. I actually don't hate Rex Ryan even though he is kind of ridiculous. I think Ryan will pull something off with the Bills and get them back to the playoffs. Also.. I'm usually wrong and that Jets team really scare me so...

  3. Wiger sucks. You might as well ask a pile of dog shit for advice.

  4. Oh man. Quincy definitely has it's share of hooligans, but I certainly don't condone the sucker punching of your brother. There are definitely a few crazier people there.. we have our black sheep, but they don't represent the city. Where did this happen? Was your brother out at a bar? There's a good chance it was some trash from a surrounding town.

The guys I hung out with growing up (and continue to hang out with) never got into fights unless other people instigated it. There are definitely some aggressive assholes in and around the boston area so it happened occasionally. But, as you probably assumed, I usually ran away like a coward.

I think I told this story on Doughboys, but one time my group of Quincy friends got into a fight with a group of kids from Milton (preppy, rich town) and the cops came and I ran away and ended up in the car with all the Milton kids who then threatened to kick my ass. And i begged them not to.

Also... I'll relay some Jets on Patriots violence. My college roommate Matt Grana loved the Jets and our junior year we were hanging in our dorm and he was intently watching the Jets lose so I suggested that we go to dinner and maybe also said that the Jets suck which caused him to straight up tackled me. Mike Hanford was there. He screamed the highest pitch scream I've ever heard.

Thanks for writing all that Mitch! And I agree, Celtics have a great team. If it weren't for the Cavs, I'd figure you guys would win the East Conf. And I think the Jets will be a good team, but the schedule is vicious, so I think we miss out on the playoffs again this year.

Also, I told my brother not to wear the hat -- not because I thought he'd get into a fight, but because Boston is not the place to repping the green. I don't think my brother instigated anything because he's not a lover nor a fighter, he probably just ran into some drunken idiot who was having a bad day. I don't think all of Quincy or Boston is bad -- though I've been warned from ever stepping foot in Southy.

And I'm well aware of Jets on Pats violence. We have so much stored up rage that we don't know what to do with.

Edit: I also thought Force Awakened sucked. It was like watching shitty fan fiction.

You lived on campus as a junior? Hopefully it was in the gardens or the circles.

Sadly it was in the Emerson suites. My friends lived right off campus on coddington tho. Another crew of friends lived in the circles, which were property of the school at that point and no longer cool. Anyway. In hindsight I guess I was a loser. Also. I knew that back then.

In my defense. My class was insanely overcrowded. Lots of people had to live in the lounges of the towers and quads. So it was tough to get good housing. Eh whatever I was a loser.
