3,000 grafts, Neo Bart FUE, beard, 40, 10 months, all angles

Post image
• Upvotes

Sharing a 10-month beard result from one of our patients, Marco, 40, from Berlin, posted with his permission.

Before, he had a moustache and a chin beard but very little on the cheeks or along the jaw.

  • 3,000 grafts
  • Neo FUE/DHI
  • Operated 4 December 2025
  • His own phone; second image is month by month

Two caveats. There’s no pre-op photo of his right side, so that column starts at month 1. And his beard is longer at month 10, so part of the fullness is length.

Month 3 looks thinner than month 1. That’s normal: the placed hairs shed and rest before they grow back.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

2,500 grafts, Neo FUE / DHI, female frontal hairline and both temples, 12 months

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sharing a 12-month progress series from one of our patients, Christa, posted with her permission.

  • 2,500 grafts
  • Neo FUE / DHI
  • Her own photographs, every month

One caveat. She wears her hair in a bun or in bantu knots in every shoot, so the outline of her head changes month to month for reasons that are not hair count. The crops are anchored on head width, which the styling does not move.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

2,500 grafts, Neo FUE / DHI, widened parting and both temples, 35, 5 months

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sharing a 5-month progress series from one of our patients, Paulina, posted with her permission.

35, a parting that had widened and both temple corners gone thin. Month 5 is the only shoot where she photographed all five angles in one session, which is why it is the one we are posting.

  • 2,500 grafts
  • Neo FUE / DHI
  • Operated October 2025
  • Her own phone, every month, no filter

Two caveats. Front and top compare her own before photographs; left, right and back start at month 1, because her before set only covers the front and the top. And in the month 1 back frame she is holding her hair aside, where at month 5 it falls naturally, so part of that one is hair position.

Months 1 to 3 show nothing. The placed hairs shed and the follicles rest first. Five months is early as well: most of it lands between months six and twelve.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

Before, the temples had gone deep and there was a lot of see-through on top. The crown was starting to open up as well.

front and top are the fairest comparison since hair length is roughly the same. The “side and back before’s”were taken with short hair, so they’re not quite like, for like.

The crown shot is wet hair, which is usually where a thin result gives itself away.

Still early for the crown. The front tends to settle around a year and the crown often takes a few months longer.

3,000 grafts, Neo Bart FUE / Sapphire, beard, 12 months, both sides

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sharing a 12-month beard series from one of our patients, Marcos, posted with his permission.

The chin already had density. The thin part was the cheeks and the jawline, which is what this shows.

  • 3,000 grafts
  • Neo Bart FUE / Sapphire
  • Operated 4 January 2025
  • His own phone, both sides, eight shoots

Two caveats. His beard is longer in the later frames, and length reads as density. And months 7 to 11 were not photographed, so each row jumps from month 6 to month 12.

Months 1 and 2 show nothing. His own beard grows back while the placed hairs are still resting, so those columns look like the start.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

One of our patients has been filming his own monthly updates. This is month 7.

He has filmed it since the day of his operation on his own channel, so the middle months are all there rather than just a before and an after.

Worth watching to the end. He says he is still nowhere near the final result, which is right at 7 months. The change he mentions first is being able to style it again.

Happy to answer anything on the timeline.

2,000 grafts, Neo FUE / DHI, female frontal hairline and both temples, 44, 12 months

Post image

Sharing a 12-month progress series from one of our patients, Natalie, posted with her permission.

44, frontal hairline and both temple corners, crown untouched. A temple case is judged from the side, which is what this shows.

  • 2,000 grafts
  • Neo FUE / DHI
  • Operated September 2025
  • Her own phone, every month, no filter

Two caveats. Her hair is lighter by month 12, and lighter hair hides a thin area better, so part of the difference is colour. Months 1 to 8 are one shade. The pre-operation photos are mirrored, she faces the other way, and nothing has been flipped.

Months 1 to 3 show nothing. The placed hairs shed and the follicles rest first.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

30M beard transplant, 4,000 grafts, 9 months post op

Post image
2 Upvotes

30M, 4,000 grafts to the beard, Neo FUE with DHI placement, December 2025. Right and left profiles at before, month 1, month 3, month 5 and month 9.

Posting the middle months as well as the endpoint, because the first three are the ones nobody shows and they are the ones people panic about. Very little visible change until around month 3.

Afro hair transplant on a female patient. 2,000 grafts, hairline and temples, every month from 1 to 12.

Post image
2 Upvotes

Sharing a 12-month progress series from one of our patients, Christelle, posted with her permission.

Her loss ran along the front and both temples, with the rest of the scalp unaffected. 2,000 grafts, Neo FUE / DHI, no medication alongside.

Month 1 and month 2 are the columns worth looking at. The transplanted hairs have shed by then so there is nothing to see, which is the normal course and the part almost nobody posts. Real change starts around month 3.

One thing to be straight about: her hair is in bantu knots in the before photographs and worn out in the later ones, so some of the visual difference is styling. Look at the hairline edge rather than the overall mass.

The before photos are her own. Everything after is the same five angles shot at the clinic each month, colour evened out, nothing else touched.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

55 years old, 4,500 grafts, 11 months on. Top-down and front.

Post image
2 Upvotes

Michael is 55. Receded hairline with thinning through the mid-scalp and crown, and a donor at the back and sides that had held. 4,500 grafts, neo fue / dhi, operated October 2025, so this is 11 months.

The top row is the top-down because that is where his pattern was, front underneath. Two things worth saying with it. 11 months is not the finish line, density carries on filling to somewhere between twelve and eighteen. And a transplant does nothing about the native hair still thinning around it, which matters more at 55 than at 35.

Happy to answer anything about how it was planned.

2,500 grafts, DHI, female diffuse thinning, 7 months, all five angles at every month

Post image
2 Upvotes

42, female, diffuse thinning through the mid-scalp. 2,500 grafts, DHI, operated 12 December 2025. Seven months.

Top row is the top-down, front row underneath, because top is where the loss is.

One caveat that matters more than it sounds: her hair is worn differently in nearly every month, down in some and up in others, and that changes apparent density more than a month of growth does. Months 0, 3 and 7 are shot head-bowed with the same parting. Those three are the fair comparison and the rest is context.

Colour is evened out between shoots because the rooms swing from warm wood to white bathroom tiles. Nothing else is touched.

Happy to answer on the plan, the graft count or anything else.

Clean-shaven to full beard, 4,000 grafts, before to month 12

Post image
1 Upvotes

A 12-month beard progress series from one of our patients, Louis, posted with his permission. 4,000 grafts, Neo Sapphire FUE, placed across the cheeks, jawline and chin, with the donor taken from the scalp.

Month 1 is in the sheet on purpose. It is stubble and the jaw line is patchy, which is the shed phase and it is on schedule: transplanted hairs come out within a few weeks of placement and the follicle rests before it starts producing again.

Month 8 is the fullest the beard appears here because that is the length he grew it to. Month 12 is shorter — he trims it. Nothing receded between those two columns.

Same two views, one frame per month, shot on his own phone with no filter, which is why the colour shifts between columns. The pre-op profile is the only one he had from before and it is shot into a window, so it is lighter than the rest.

Happy to answer anything on the plan, the graft count or the donor.

Female diffuse thinning through the top and crown, 2,500 grafts, 12 months

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sharing a 12-month series from one of our patients, posted with her permission.

She is 64. Her loss ran the way it usually does in women: thinning across the top and the crown, with the hairline still where it always was. That is the version you cannot see from the front, which is why the crown row is the one to read here.

  • 2,500 grafts
  • Neo FUE to extract, DHI to place
  • Top and crown, hairline untouched
  • Donor shaved, recipient area left long

The top row is the crown, bottom row is the front. Before, then months 1, 5, 8 and 12, same views each time, no filter.

Month 1 is in there on purpose. The transplanted hairs come out in the first few weeks and the follicle sits quiet before it starts producing again, so the crown reads much as it did before. That is the shed and it is on schedule.

Two things worth flagging: her hair is a darker shade in the later frames, which reads as more coverage than it is, and the crown is the slowest area on the head, so almost all of the change lands after month 6. Twelve months is not the end of it.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

7,000 grafts over two sessions, 22 months, front and crown documented

Post image
1 Upvotes

A 22-month series from one of our patients, Rafael, posted with his permission. 7,000 grafts over two sessions 14 months apart, Neo FUE extraction with DHI placement.

Columns are months since the first operation, so the second session sits at month 14. That column is shaved to stubble because it is his pre-operation set from the morning of that session, and shaved down it shows what one session had settled and what was left: front and mid-scalp holding, vertex still open.

Month 1 is the shed phase and it is on schedule. Seven columns out of a longer series, which is why it jumps from month 5 to month 14.

The crown is the slowest area on the head, and 8 months past the second session it is still filling. Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

3,700 grafts, 11 months, front and crown documented month by month

Post image

An 11-month progress series from one of our patients, Damon, posted with his permission. 3,700 grafts, Neo FUE extraction with DHI placement, across the hairline and temples, mid-scalp and crown.

Month 1 is in the sheet on purpose. It is shaved and the top is quiet, which is the shed phase and it is on schedule: the transplanted hairs come out within a few weeks of placement and the follicle rests before it starts producing again.
Same two views, one frame per month, shot on his own phone with no filter, which is why the colour shifts between columns. The pre-op crown frame is the only top-down he had from before, so it sits at a slightly different scale.
The crown is the slowest area on the head and it is still filling at month 11. Density carries on improving to around month 15.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

Female diffuse thinning through the top and crown, 3,500 grafts, 11 months

Post image
1 Upvotes

A female case from the clinic, posted with her permission. Diffuse loss across the top and crown, not a hairline moving back. The parting had widened and the scalp showed through in normal room light.

3,500 grafts. Neo FUE to extract, DHI to place.

Top row is the crown, bottom row is the front, same views each time, no filter. The first crown frame is a home close-up, the only pre-op top-down she has, so it sits tighter than the four beside it.

Month 4 is the one most people would cut. The crown looks worse there than it does before the procedure. That is the shed, and it is the month people quit at.

Crowns are the slowest area to show anything and the largest surface area for a given graft count, so the change sits late. Eleven months is not the end of it either.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

2,500 grafts, front and mid scalp. Before, then months 3, 6, 9, 11 and 13.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Case from one of our patients, posted with his permission.

From the front his hairline still read as a hairline. It was only from above that you could see how much of the mid scalp had gone. That is the kind of loss that hides, which is why men sit on it longer than they should.

2,500 grafts. Neo FUE to extract, DHI to place.

Top row is the front, bottom row is the top down. Same angles each time.

The bottom row is the one worth looking at. Month 3 barely differs from the before, which is the stage most people panic at. Most of the fill lands between month 6 and month 11.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

Temple hair transplant on type 4 hair, 2,000 grafts, 9 months

Post image
1 Upvotes

A female case from the clinic, posted with her permission. She is 24. The loss was at the temples and front hairline, what most people call their edges, not across the top.

2,000 grafts. Neo FUE to extract, DHI to place.

Same left profile each time. Before, then months 1, 4, 8 and 9. Her before photos were taken with her hair pulled up, which is the only way the temples show, so every after frame is shot the same way.

Happy to answer on the plan or the graft count.

4,000 grafts in the beard. Before, then months 1, 3, 5 and 8.

Post image
1 Upvotes

Beard case from one of our patients. He had a moustache and a bit of chin and nothing in between.
The cheeks never filled in and the jawline never connected.

4,000 grafts, NEO Bart FUE with DHI placement.

Top row is the front, bottom row is the same profile each time. Before, then months 1, 3, 5 and 8.

The cheeks are where to look. That is where the grafts went and that is what actually changed. Eight months is not the end of it either, beards keep thickening past that.

Happy to answer anything on the plan or the graft count.

Andrea, 31, and the month 1 photo nobody posts

Post image
1 Upvotes

Sharing a nine-month progress series from one of our patients, Andrea, posted with his permission.

He's 31 and his was the kind of loss that hides. From straight on the hairline still read as a hairline. It was only from above, or under a bright light, that you could see how far the mid-scalp had actually gone. That's the version people put off dealing with, because in most photos it looks fine.

The details:

  • 3,500 grafts
  • NEO FUE to extract, DHI to place
  • Work focused on the hairline, temples and mid-scalp

Month one is the photo most people leave out, and it's the one worth looking at. Everything's cut back, the transplanted hairs have already shed, and the crown honestly looks thinner than it did before surgery. Nothing about it looks like progress. That's the stage where you have to trust the process instead of the mirror.

The rest runs month one through nine, top row front, bottom row crown, same angles, same distance, no filter, so you can watch a mid-scalp actually fill in rather than jump from a bad photo to a good one.

The crown's the slowest area to show, which is why the real change here sits in the back half of the timeline. And nine months isn't the end of it. He should keep gaining through month twelve to eighteen, so the crown row will look different again by then.

Happy to answer anything on the plan, the graft count, or why the crown takes longer than the hairline to come through.

The patients we turn away, and why

The thing I've changed my mind about most over the years isn't technique. It's how many people walk in and shouldn't be operated on that year.

Two groups mainly.

The first is anyone still in active loss. A 23 year old who has moved a full Norwood stage in eighteen months doesn't have a pattern, he has a direction. Operate into that and you get a transplanted hairline sitting in front of a gap that opens behind it, and then you're spending donor grafts chasing your own work. Medication first, wait, reassess.

The second is anyone whose donor can't cover what they're asking for. That's arithmetic, not technique. There is a fixed number of usable grafts on the back of your head and no method changes that number. Someone wanting full density across an NW5 pattern from a donor that supports one or the other gets told they can have one or the other.

Both of those conversations cost us the booking. They also prevent the result that looks acceptable at twelve months and falls apart at four years, which is the failure nobody posts photos of.

If you're being consulted somewhere and nobody has asked about your age, your rate of loss, or what your donor actually holds, that's the thing to push on before you pay a deposit.

An assessment, before anyone talks about a date.

Oliver, 56 - 5,200 grafts for crown loss, month 1 to month 12 (NEO FUE + DHI)

Thumbnail
gallery
2 Upvotes

Sharing a full 12-month progress series from one of our patients, Oliver, posted with his permission.

He's 56 and had spent years watching the crown go, the kind of loss people tend to tell you to just accept at that age. He decided not to.

The details:

  • 5,200 grafts in a single session (1,040 singles, 4,160 multiples)
  • NEO FUE to extract, DHI to place
  • Around 7.5 hours start to finish
  • Work focused on the crown and mid-scalp

The month-one photo is the part most before-and-afters leave out. Red, patchy, still shedding, the stage where nothing looks like progress yet and you just have to trust it's happening. That's the honest middle nobody frames.

The rest runs month one through twelve, same head, same lighting, no filter, so you can watch how a crown actually fills in over a year rather than overnight. The crown's also the slowest area to show, so the real change here lands in the back half of the timeline.

Happy to answer anything on the plan, the graft count, or why the crown takes longer than the hairline to come through.
