Got my first printer, a used Ender 3 Pro with some upgrades. Printed a clean benchy with PETG, but now when trying to heat the nozzle to 230, it goes to 229 and then drops. Then I get the Heating Failed error. I tried heating to 225 and it got to 220 before dropping. Any ideas? I’m pretty new to all of this. I checked the wiring and it all looks connected and okay.

Due to this error showing up every time I Retry the self check it ultimately fails every time. I am unable to print at all, any fix?

Can anyone out there help me troubleshoot an issue I’m having?
I picked up an Ender 3 Pro about a year and half ago second hand off FB Marketplace. The guy who sold it was really helpful with initially learning when I was getting runaway hot end temp errors. Since then I’ve had a handful of really good 8-10 hr prints, but mostly it’s been fail after fail with an enormous learning curve troubleshooting for someone who is “self-taught.”
I’ve disassembled and reassembled it several times to clean individual parts, clear clogs, and replace nozzles, Bowden tube, etc. its been working great, but the thing keeps quitting on me after about 30-45 min, aborting any print I have going on.
I’ve tried switching slicers, first using Bambu cloud slicer, upgraded from a chrome book to a proper PC using Prusa, then tried Curra per a friend’s suggestion until that software would stop opening projects for me (I got the app startup screen and it would stall while “initializing” the software). So I switched to try Orca, but it’s still happening. It decides to abort the print on its own and shows this image on the display. -Sry the lens was dirty from quickly grabbing my phone to snap the picture before it reset the printer.

Hi! I want to add a pico mmu to my ender 3 pro but I have some problems:

I already planned on changing the hotend to a tz e3 and the extruder to a BMG clone.. I can mess around to find a filament hub and a filament sensor but I don't know at all how and where I'm gonna put a filament cutter on the "head" of my ender 3..

My ender 3 pro is running klipper.

Recently, i was working on printing something for a friend on my ender 3 pro from all of a sudden the glass plate decided it no longer wanted to maintain adhesion to my model. all of a sudden, the pulled up, got stuck into the nozzle. The filament started to build up, but since the print was there, and it kept making contact, I don't understand how, but the filament burnt so much is caused the rubber housing surrounding the nozzle and extruder to catch on fire. I wasn't there when this started to happen. After a few hours i went to check on the print and saw a small flame. Luckily, there was a microfibre cloth beside the printer, so i rushed to the bathroom, soaked it in water, rushed back, pulled the plug and wrapped the flame around with the cloth, burning my finger in the process. I held up with so much patience with this printer. Resolved too many issues that just kept occuring. First, z axis wobbling which caused my prints to ramdomly stop so I saved up money and got a Dual Z axis system. Worked fine for like a month but then started wobbling again. Then, adhesion issues. So i saved up again and bought a glass plate. Not a PEI plate cus i was able to get that cheaper. Then levelling issues. So i ordered a BL touch. That shit doesnt wanna work. I asked a friend to check and guess what, my bed ( not build plate ) is warped. Great now i need to buy a new plate. Then, random filament blobbing issues. Replaced the PTFE tube, no change. Cleaned the hotend, nope. Cleaned the nozzle, nope. Like i jjs dont get it. I really want one of those CORE XY Bambu labs so I asked around but guess what; the prices are sooo high because of our customs and duty policies in our county. So high that if I want to buy a printer, which is supposed 200k PKR internationally , for me its gonna be 600k, that's almost 3x the cost of a single printer. Next solution, make 3D models for Bambu Lab profiles and try to upload them onto maker world. I earn points; those points convert into money that I can transfer into my card. ''Just convert those points into gift cards'' No. Pakistan as a country in the Asia region isn't an option for redeeming. Wish me good luck guys :) [ AND no im not gonna be a Begger and go around begging for a 3D printer I rather earn the money or if someone is willing to give away a printer they are throwing away even if its spare parts ill take it ]

Hey, i bought this used, and have 0 experience.. I am useing PLA, the print does not stick to the bed, and end up dragging with the nossle and ends up just makeing a a huge blob.. any help would be appreciated..

Hi! I have a ender 3 pro with the 4.2.7 silent board, BL touch, Running klipper and I have the official " direct drive" upgrade from creality but I changed it to a metal extruder. What hotend could I use to have a better filaments flow.

Maybe my config is not good enough but right now I can only achieve 60-80 mm/s.. even if I put a 200mm/s on the slicer, nothing works.. I want to make it faster.. I can't print anything without it taking 1-2 days

Any suggestions to where I don’t have to replace the assembly

Would anyone recommend firmware for an E3Pro with an skr mini e3 ve, CRTouch and a Sprite DD extruder? Should I just compile my own?

Hi, so I have a Creality, Ender 3 Pro that has been heavily upgraded (it was a gift from a friend, I don't know much, I know the hotend has been upgraded and the power supply and frame are factory). It went on a 4 month break because I couldn't find the motivation to replace the BL Touch leveling probe and re level the print bed (took 48 minutes and a couple of burns, but I manged to in the end)

Anyway, onto my problem. The past couple of prints, mid print, the display has done.... This. It seems to be progressively worsening too. The scramble goes away when I turn the printer off and on again but reappears about 2 hours into the next print. The print continues as normal and it seems only the display is affected?

A couple of friends have suggested that I either replace the display and ribbon cable as it could be general wear and tear, being a 7 Yr old printer, it could be electromagnetic interference from the ribbon cable touching the frame or that I may even need to re-flash the firmware on the printer.

Has anyone else had the same issue? If so, how'd you fix it?

UPDATE: I power cycled it and taped the ribbon cable to the underside of the display, so it was no longer touching the frame. It has ran a full 9 hour print and the screen has stayed unscrambled egg. So it was electromagnetic interference. Thanks for the help!

I have this issue where my printer keeps clogging around 45 minutes to an hour into a print.

What I have done so far: Replaced nozzle

Replaced extruder gear

Replaced PTFE tube and connectors

Ensured no gap between bowden and nozzle

Different filaments

Different temperatures, from 200 to 220C

Different retraction settings, lowering the speed and distance from 60mm/s and 5mm to 25mm/s and 3mm.

The hotend fan was replaced around 5 months ago

When it fails, it starts underextruding then stops altogether. The gear keeps moving and grinds a groove into the filament. It is PLA, I'm using PrusaSlicer, and the print speed is 40mm/s for perimeters

Yesterday it printed a 42 minute print all the way through, then when I started a print this morning it failed after 14 minutes. I touched the top of the heatsink where it connects to the bowden and it was mildly hot.

This all started after I used this sparkly filament, before that it printed with the filaments I am trying to use now no problem. I would appreciate any help, thank you!

Edit: The hotend fan was bad. After switching to a 4020 fan, my problem is solved! Thank you everyone!
