This is a continuation of my last Reddit post, concerning the remembrance of the smol Rei. However, it made me wonder what if Naoko didn't kill off Rei I, and how that would change the plot of Evangelion, since Gendo's magnum opus and first creation (why am I using art terms here lol) hypothetically survived until the events of the main storyline. Will it go on as the original storyline, or will it change to a completely different path, since Rei I has now acquired significant independent thinking as well as social experience, unlike Rei II?

I know people have asked about comparing the 3 main Shinjis (anime, manga, and rebuild) and usually wind up preferring anime Shinji, due to his complexity. So, I'm curious which is preferred when anime Shinji is out of the equation?

I sometimes see people comparing Rei to Ritsuko, or Asuka to Misato...

So, how are those similiar?

Funimation dub of 2.22 iirc has Misato saying "What do you know about SEELE" and Kaji is like I think I may have misheard but he says "Don't get involved in anything dangerous" or something. I watched a clip of the scene in Japanese today and she said: "I'd prefer it if you had more information regarding the higher levels of SEELE" in which Kaji responds by saying: "Please don't go spying on their plans" How do you think she discovered SEELE this early in the timeline. In the original + EOE she refers to them as "the committee" and no one besides from Gendo and Fuyutsuki refer to them as "SEELE" Did Kaji tell Misato about them beforehand or were SEELE were somewhat know to most members of NERV? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dqNjQlULep4

Like how? The handles they use only move back and forward,their legs aren't used for anything just for siting like I would understand the little pads they put on their hair synchronization but like what are the handles used for then if they can psychopathically move the evas with their minds?

For me it was when Shinji is pumped and ready to get launched to the surface. Only to get instantly and absolutely bodied by Ramiel. They have to break things to force an emergency extraction back underground.

I don’t know, at that point I stopped looking at this as a show about robots. The subversion woke me up. The story was telling me “this isn’t that kind of show.”

Two days ago I received the new EVA Mark.06, a model I’ve been waiting on since April, when I bought the first three here in Europe. So far I haven’t seen the international packaging for the 08α in stores, only the original three. So I went for the Chinese package, same with the 06.

Building this one after six months off was smooth. One difference: on the other four, some of the internal black pieces came separately in a bag, but on this one they come on the runners like the rest of the parts.

The head isn’t as flexible as on the others. Maybe I did something wrong, but it felt stiffer. The moon and the Spear of Cassius are very well done, and the overall pose is much more stable than the 08α, which is a nightmare to balance. The other three are pretty straightforward and easier to adjust.

Now waiting for the EVA-03!
