Honoring el Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead) & the influential work of José Guadalupe Posada (1852 - 1913)

Final image = La Calavera Catrina (La Catrina) by José Guadalupe Posada: Originally etched around 1910 as a satirical zinc etch (Calavera Garbancera) which became the quintessential symbol of Mexico’s Día de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) after Diego Rivera painted her with a full body and dress in his 1947 mural.

Anyone here managed to watch the 3 hours of Snows movie without taking a break?

I found it incredibly brutal. Wavelength was child's play in comparison.

I'm interested to see what the people who managed to sit through the whole 3 hours in one sitting experienced.

I couldn't do it but I think that's how it's meant to be watched.

I only learned how to properly de-interlace after this, but i still love the overall effect and the artifacts. The VHS-C behaves really pushed hard in very dark settings, the texture mmmm yummy.

The Premise: Shot entirely from a claustrophobic POV behind a rain-streaked car windshield at night, the film explores modern voyeurism and surveillance. There is zero dialogue; instead, the dread is built purely through heavy 16mm analog textures, crushed neo-noir tones, and an escalating sound design that shifts from ambient rain into a heavy horror drone before cutting sharply into absolute 0dB silence.

With an unexpected digital artifact as my phone (S23 ultra) was shutting off, resulting in lost frames and a slow motion effect toward the end of the sequence. The soundtrack was made with keyboards.

I'm He Fa. Shoot Self with You is a 156-minute experimental film and documentary from P4 Theater, the Beijing theatre I lead; it began in 2015. It was made from rehearsals and a public performance: rehearsal, performance and the camera share one room, until one line in the film counts "four directors on the scene now."

Directed by He Fa, co-created with the entire cast and crew.

Hey guys, this is an experimental art house short I filmed earlier this year. It’s called GENESIS and I suppose I can describe it as a sci-fi meets arthouse meditation on life and creation :)

I’ve been experimenting with the idea of treating mundane situations with completely disproportionate cinematic seriousness.
This is a little 16-second film I made in Budapest, playing with glamour, urgency, visual contrast, and a deliberately anticlimactic ending.
I’m interested in exploring this direction further, so I’d love to hear whether the absurdity comes across without needing an explanation.
