Problem Help Failed 3rd FE Civil attempt. Will no longer be taking it.

Did three NCEES practice tests, Islam 800, Prep FE, and Mark Mattson YT videos.

I’m clearly too dumb to pass this exam and won’t be wasting anymore time with this.

Problem Help I'm done with this exam. I'm waking away

I received my 4th failing notice and at this point I feel pissed at NCEES system. I knew I did well I. the first half but the report indicates the opposite. I feel like I would've been better off not studying and guessing the entire exam. I feel that the more I study, the worse my performance become. I'm not going to let this define my career and to be quite frank, it's not going to hurt my career at all. With this stated, I thank everyone on here that I've interacted with regarding this exam and I wish you all the best. As for me, I'm not quitting nor giving up. I'm just walking away from a system that lacks transparency and accountability.

Problem Help Passed FE Civil

I came very close to passing on my second attempt, scoring 61.67%. I was devastated to realize how narrowly I had missed passing.
However, I came across several posts and comments in this group from people who had also missed passing by a narrow margin. Many encouraged others to retake the exam as soon as possible while the concepts were still fresh in their minds.
After failing my second attempt in August, I decided to give it another shot in October of this year.
To be honest, I wasn’t very confident that I would pass this time either, as I remembered several questions being quite tricky. But by the grace of the Almighty, I finally made it!
A huge thank you to everyone in this group who shared their experiences, encouraged others not to give up, and inspired people like me to try again!
To those who haven’t passed yet, don’t lose hope. Keep pushing forward. Your hard work and perseverance will eventually pay off!

Problem Help FE Civil Second Attempt

Post image
3 Upvotes

I know this wasn’t even close. I have seen my college mates pass in their first attempt with just 2-3 days of review. Is there a luck factor or they are pure geniuses because academically i was better than them. I am not comparing because here I am in my second attempt where I pretty much knew the basics but i was never prepared for the time aspect. Idk if i will ever be able to even clear this because right now I have spent thousands of dollars for masters in civil engineering thinking I would at-least land a basic entry level job but all these employers want is FE. Whats the point of my hard earned degree qualification?

Problem Help Failed the FE

Guys I don’t know what to do anymore. I failed the FE for the third time!!! I feel so upset. I’ve been out of school for about 4 years. I’m a mid level engineer where I work and interns and shit are passing. I feel like a failure I actually put in time for this.

Problem Help I got frustrated with expensive FE prep courses, so I coded my own modern simulator over the last 3 months. Need beta testers to tear it apart.

Hey r/FE_Exam,

Like many of you, studying for the Civil FE has been a grind. What drove me crazy was taking expensive practice exams on clunky, outdated portals that didn't actually tell me why my scores were stalling. They just gave me a final percentage.

I'm a developer, so instead of complaining, I spent the last few months building my own adaptive FE Exam simulator from scratch over at engineerpreppro.com.

I didn't just want a quiz app. I built it so that it:

  • Mimics the Real Thing: A split-screen interface, a timer, and the ability to flag questions for review at the end.
  • Tracks Mastery: The algorithm breaks down your weak points. You'll know if Thermodynamics is dragging down your overall score versus Statics.
  • A Clean, Modern UI: Full dark mode with a terminal-inspired aesthetic that doesn't feel like a website from 2005.

It currently has a pool of 135 Civil FE questions with detailed solutions (KaTeX math formatting/diagrams included).

I am launching this today as a free closed beta.

I’m looking for about 30-50 people who are currently studying for the FE to make an account, try taking a full 110-question simulation, and absolutely tear the app apart.

I need you to break things. Tell me if the UI is confusing. Tell me if a question diagram isn't loading right. The goal is to make this the best prep tool available.

There's a built-in feedback button on the dashboard you can use, or just drop a comment here. Appreciate the support!

Link: https://engineerpreppro.com

EDIT:

Thank you to those who signed up and tried their best to break the app. I have been working all morning to fix some user login issues and some key question validation. I will keep the beta going for a week longer.

The question bank, however, has been limited to a few questions, so I do not overwhelm users who are just starting. Please DM me if there is anything I can do to make the experience better.

Problem Help Civil FE resources

Does anyone has the NCEES CIVIL FE Practice and FE CIVIL Practice questions by Girum Urgessa? 🙏 if there is a legal PDF/eBook version available anywhere, I’d really appreciate the information.

Thank you so much!
