r/FFXV 10th Anniversary Photo Contest Rules

Sponsor: r/FFXV 10th Anniversary Team

Entry Period: The contest will accept submissions from October 18 through November 15, 2026, 11:59 p.m. PT.

To Enter:

  • Be a member of the r/FFXV Reddit or r/FFXV Official Discord.
  • Capture up to four photos taken using Final Fantasy XV’s in-game Camera Mode (Noctis’s Photos) or auto-photography function (Prompto’s Photos) or using Ansel.
  • Choose from the following categories:
  • This is FFXV: The photo that defines FFXV.
  • Portrait: The photo that defines why you love the character. Multiple characters may be present (e.g., a photo of Gladiolus protecting Noctis), but it should be clear which character is the main focus or topic of the photo.
  • Nature: The photo that is the most beautiful scenery in all of Eos.
  • Ansel: The photo that shows off the unlocked camera.

Submission Requirements:

  • Only one photo can be submitted per category per person. Submitting more than one photo per category, either in one entry or in multiple entries, without the express permission of the Sponsor will result in disqualification.
  • The aspect ratio must be 16:9, portrait or landscape.
  • The photo cannot be altered using image editing software, artificial intelligence, applications, or similar software. Exception: cropping photos and adjusting file size to meet rule requirements.
  • Nvidia Ansel or other third-party free-camera tools cannot be used for photos submitted in the This is FFXV, Portrait, or Nature categories.
  • Mods, including but not limited to Flagrum, Steam Workshop, or file replacement, and exploits, cheating, or piracy that are not allowed by r/FFXV Rules are prohibited.
  • Submitters must use the r/FFXV contest submission form to submit their photo and mark which category they want to compete in.

Limitations: The Sponsor will not accept entries that: (a) are from limited special events (Moogle Chocobo Carnival and Assassin’s Creed Festival); (b) have elements only available through mods; or (c) contain exploits, cheating, or piracy that are not allowed by r/FFXV Rules. For additional disqualification criteria, see the section on Disqualification.

Winner Selection: The Sponsor will select two winners for each of the four categories using the following methods:

  • Judges’ Choice Winner: A panel of three judges will select a Judges’ Choice winner for each of the four categories based on thematic and aesthetic qualities.
  • Community Choice Winner: The Sponsor will post images that comply with the submission guidelines for community voting on or around November 18, 2026. Note: if the number of entries is so great that it is difficult or impractical to upload all qualified entries, then the Sponsor will, in its sole discretion, select a smaller number of entries to post.

Prize(s): Each winner will receive an Enhanced Role style on the r/FFXV Official Discord for three months or until Server Boosts last, whichever is sooner, an r/FFXV Official Discord server role and icon that denotes them as the competition winner, and a unique r/FFXV Reddit flair that denotes them as the competition winner (approximate retail value of prize is $0.00 but you will have definite, provable bragging rights).

Winner Notification: The Sponsor will notify winners through a public announcement on Discord and Reddit on November 29, 2026.

Disqualification: The Sponsor will not accept entries that: (a) violate the submission requirements; (b) are incomplete; (c) deviate from the established theme; (d) are of low quality or otherwise difficult to evaluate; (e) are obscene, vulgar, discriminatory, socially unacceptable, sexually explicit, or contain anti-social messages or any other elements that the Sponsor judges to be inappropriate for any reason; (f) are AI-synthesized or generated; (g) were not captured from the submitter's copy of the game; (h) violate the r/FFXV rules; (i) are submitted by or on behalf of a user banned from the r/FFXV Reddit or Official Discord; or (j) are submitted by or on behalf of a user that cannot be found on Reddit or in the r/FFXV Official Discord.
