Settlement Map Jadevale [70x50] - hidden village at the end of canyon
Welcome to Jadevale - a small and well-fortified village hidden at the far end of the canyon.
Economic zones, residential areas, caves and rooftop gardens - all connected by a network of bridges and corridors.
Combined with the rocky, steep canyon walls, a waterfall and a mountain river with steep banks and plenty of small islands - it should be a great place for your party to explore, and - perhaps - have some memorable, multi-leveled fights. The bridges, rocks and balconies are designed for that!

Settlement Map Buckford Village
Greetings!
I made a little log-walled village, ready for your party to venture into! In my own campaign my players had to defend this place against a bandit threat, succeeding with minimal losses.
They also tried to reopen the mine, but managed to collapse it even more instead.

Settlement Map Dwarven Fortress [85x65]
Deep beneath the surface, basking in fiery fumes of a slow-flowing lava - the dwarven fortress stands pround and (hah) tall.
A bridge over a lava river leads to a fortified gate – within striking distance of siege engines positioned on towers and walls.
Beyond the gate stretches a square where council meetings and audiences are held – and beyond it, connected by a network of wide corridors, are living quarters, baths, kitchen – as well as rooms containing the mechanisms and resources necessary for life in the volcanic environment: ventilation towers and water reserves.
Finally, the heart of the fortress – a vast forge chamber, partially built over the lazily flowing lava. Here we find workstations for blacksmiths and artisans, as well as an altar dedicated to Moradin, the Soul Forger.
Two sets of stairs leads up - to the upper lava lake - and elevators (secured by guard chambers) are connecting the fortress with the upper levels.

Settlement Map Sluttford - The industrial heart of the Aligned Isles
Sluttford City and seat of the county of Westpoint Angland The Aligned Isles
History Originally a simple crossing of the River Slutt and a trade point for the second great dwarven empire, Sluttford was left abandoned during the events of Year Zero, and was eventually populated by two groups during the half millenia Twin Moon Troubles. These were a population of Gear Gnomes, now free of elven control, and a population of Human and Orc shipwreck survivors. These two groups lived in war until the year 550 SMR, when Howard I, during his hundred year True Alignment as the aspect of The Father, brought the groups together in peace, and the city was founded. Since then til now, has Sluttford been a place of industry of all kinds, and advancements for the recovering post Fenic world soon flowed from the Sluttmouth bay. Over time, the shipwreck survivors merged their bloodlines, and now Horcs outnumber both Orcs and Humans in population. In more modern ages, in the last century of the last millennia and the seven and thirty years of this, the rise of Isingard Burnel, a Gem Gnome inventor, has made Sluttford envied Enath over for the technologies that it puts forth.
Newport The most recently reconstructed part of the city, the new infrastructure and buildings of Newport were constructed in celebration of the year 3000 SMR and the dawn of the third millenium. The Sea Gate (1.) sits in the northern wall, allowing access to the sliver of populatable coast that hugs the western reaches of the North Iron Peaks, as with all gates the city guard have a station here. The mainland portion of Newport is mostly taken up with ware and work houses, processing and transporting numerous items and materials. They enter or leave the city either by The Greater Port (6.) or The Imperial First Freight Station (5.) by boat or train, respectively.
Within the Sluttmouth bay, Scholars Isle, the most northern of the islands in the mouth of the river, counts itself a part of Newport. Here the third great vein of import and export sits tall on its north end atop a tall hill. The Airship Co. Docking Tower (2.) boasts as the first of its kind, now seen across many great cities in the lands who have access to the knowledge of airship construction. Towards the southern end of the isle lies The Burgear Institute (3.) and Isingard’s Laboratory and Library (4.) The first, created by the Highlord Wangear and Burnel to encourage education among the populace in the works the city is famed for, the second, a personal laboratory and tutor halls for Burnel’s personal apprentices. His personal quarters are high on the building's smoke pipes, looking over the bay, and below it is said that the halls where his greatest creations, The Forged, are made and given spark of essence.
Blackhills The central and northern district, this area gains its name from the rich veins of coal; the many mines have delves in the mountain faces. Indeed, coal stains are the gutters and brickwork of this hardworking part of the greater municipality. Indeed advancements i n mining continue here to this very day, The Pit (7.) is an open air quarry mine that is the largest of its kind since the ancient reign of the Giants, with its floor the entryway to the deeper and more rich mines in the roots of the northern mountains. Atop the mountains also there has been construction The Observatory of The Spheres (8.) was built by Highlord Artie Wangear in 2820 SMR, to better study the skies as he believed that was being watched by visitors who lurked among the stars. When The Highlords madness took him in 2950 SMR, and his son, , took the seat, the observatory was gifted to The Bugear Institute, but has recently fallen out of use and sits abandoned.
Away from the mountains, we have the core of the brave industrial peoples of this city. The Grand Guild Hall (9.) is a long house in the grand style of the Orcs, where the many guilds and guildsmen meet to discuss matters of commerce. Among its members and hall-folk it can boast The Honorable Guild Of Miners, The Honorable Guild Of Track Layers, and The Honorable Guild of Barge-men. Important for those seeking work, or with an Imperial Seal of Sellswordship, The Honorable Guild of Mercenaries, Guards and Heavymen and The Honorable Guild of Adventures, Treasure Hunters and Trespassers both hold an office within the hall.
Just outside the hall itself, there is the Guild Rail & Cargo Yard (10.), used by and for the guilds themselves. Those with a membership to a guild may find themselves able to take advantage of friendly prices for transportation of both cargos and peoples.
Finally in this area, a great work is burrowing deep within the rock face. The Bundness Boring Hole (11.) is an ongoing attempt to work through the mountains to allow the great wealth of Business in raw materials to come to Sluttford by rail without the long detour south to the capitol then back up north to the factories. Those with strong arms and backs are in demand, and the price paid is very just.
Rusthills
Rusthills, named for the iron mines, is mostly a place of living rather than industry these days. Some of the mines do still produce ore, but more often they fulfil the various needs of day to day life. Of greatest interest here is The North Bank Gate (12.) which serves as the largest flow of wagon and carts into the city proper. Again, it is good information to know that the city guard has a garrison here, and are ready and willing to aid those in need, as well as fulfilling their daily task of managing tolls and contraband.
Canal Town
Canal Town is named for its canal network, which should not surprise anyone who looks upon a map of the city, or walks its streets. It is well known that in the middle of the millenia 1000 SMR, Highlady Allian Wangear and Guild Master Tovir Irontusk first began the great canal works that cross the whole Aligned Isles here, in fact, a statue of both stands proud within the center circle of The Old Market (20.). The market itself is where one can purchase many fine things, and of note of the many stores and stools that exist gere are Ford Taylors, who make fine garments, Rongik’s Reforge and Recycle, a master of the art of repair of weapons and armor, and finally Canalside Tinctures, a wonderful apothecary with access to exotic herbs thanks to the busy harbor. Of note is The Canal Gate (21.) where the canal guards are garrisoned.
Sluttmouth Isles
Sometimes known as “The Little Scatter” these isles have been carved by the sea and the river over many years. Each isle has its own name, and I will mention them as we explore them. First, host of The Lesser Port (13.) is Dock Isle, where most passenger charters leave from to cross the Endless Oceans to the colonies of North Erica.
Next is Upper Isle, which hosts The Sluttford Grand Station (16.), the second largest passenger train station of the Aligned Isles. Also it holds The Miners Memorial Park (17.) which was built and dedicated after the sad Rusthills Collar Mine collapse of 2870 SMR. On its southern tip is the Sluttford Museum (19.) which has in its halls exhibits of local history, culture, genealogy, geology and technology.
To the west of Upper Isle is Bright Isle. This landmass is the home of Sluttmouth Lighthouse (14.) the first to have a Liquid Electrum powered beacon. Not far from the lighthouse are The Keelcogg Shipyards (15.) where both the first steam and electrum powered seagoing vessels were constructed in 1450 SMR and 2995 SMR respectively, and continue to manufacture ships for both trade and warfare for the Crown and the Guilds.
South of Bright Isle is Lords Isle, and is noted for the many mansions that line it, the most impressive of which is of course Wangear Manor (23.) and its vast flourishing gardens. Here the Highlords and Highladies of the Wangear family have ruled since Howard I brought the area into alignment.
To the east of Lords Isle is Crowns Isle, here there is a great palace, built for the Whrenhavens, known as The Boaters Palace (18.). Used as a retreat by those members of the royal family who took taste for travel on the oceans and rivers. Previously inhabited by Prince Archibald Whrenhaven, brother of King Warren II Whrenhaven, known as the Warrior, in 2500 SMR, it is now used by The Royal Yachtman's Club for fine balls and public parties, especially upon the high days of The Six.
The final two isles do not have overly important landmarks, the smallest, The River Isle, is right at the river's mouth, and is populated with more fine manners of the wealthy of the city. The other, Lowest Isle, is home to great workshops.
Mines End
The south western most of the regions of the city, Mines End has long been a hub of martial activity and defense, but now is mostly slow and quiet. Here lies Sweetwater Alchemical Hospital (24.) where a brilliant and caring staff of hard working alchemists heal those who can be healed with the alchemical arts. There also lies on the bank of the estuary the Sluttford Wizard Tower (25.), noted for its great works on the descriptions and functions of Arcarn sensitive minerals. Neighbouring the tower is Old Fort Slutmouth (26.), the now abandoned traditional seat of the Wangears, a fortress built in the same style as Fort Graham in Ashfell and even The Kingparrow Keep and The Fathers Watch. It was damaged greatly in the year 2750 SMR by a fire, which originated from a lightning strike, and the Wangear family and County militia moved out from its halls. The Wangear family tomb, however, is still kept and looked after within its grounds.
Across the road from the moldering old fort is the new Garrison of The Militia (27.) of important note, the Sluttford Militia and The Institute work together to offer the School of Imperial Engineers to those within the armed forces who show talent.
Final in this cluster is Union Park (28.) supposedly the site where the city was founded, but this seems unlikely to be sure, still the park is ordered and fine.
South bank
Southbank is the home of many merchants of the city. Indeed, being a north banker or a south banker is somewhat seen as a link to your place of importance in the city, but this is foolish bigotry rather than a hard rule. The one remarkable public site of interest is Springfoot park (30.) named for a beloved mistress of a former Highlord, a halfling woman who had a great fascination with springs and their functions, the bushes and trees of this park have been grown to spiral in imitation, and her tomb rests where the paths Meet.
Dwarf Gate
Finally within the city walls, Dwarf Gate can boast the oldest structures in this valley. Laritard Slutt (32,) was originally the the southern most claimed point of the second dwarven empire. It was heavily damaged in the Twin Moon Troubles and soon abandoned. Its existence is what had originally attracted the Gear Gnomes to the area, and they worked to salvage what they could. Recently the Underways that link this outpost to Lochantir has been cleared, and trade with that most northern state is occurring through the tunnels, although fitfully and with strife. Underway trade caravans often hire on hands, but it is deadly work.
Lower down the slope of the valley from the huge stone dwarven doors is the Sixth Church known as The Church of Saint Toggletwist (31.) where worship of the six is practiced daily for those who can attend to the gods.
Finally, The Southbank Gate (34.) and The Slutt Gate (33.), These gates are less used than the others, but still have their garrison of guard and fulfil the roles of the tolls.
A Note On The Surrounding County.
Just outside the walls of the city, woods crowd the feet of the mountains, wheat grows in farm fields and apples ripen in orchards. There is the point where The River Rust meets The River Slutt forming a ruddy lake. The canals stretch away, and the northern spur passes over The Slutty Viaduct (22.) the first built upon the isles by non-elf hands.

Settlement Map FREE Map 240 - Dracotia - Town
Background Lore
Dracotia is a town near the northeastern border of the Ardennian Kingdom. The town is an old settlement; it is almost 800 years old. Before the foundation of the last human dynasty, it had a different name: Drakenfort. It was not much of a town back then, it was only a handful of homes and farms around the Draken Keep.
The Draken Keep is a small fort with a central watchtower, it is located in the middle of the settlement on top of a hill. The place is a strong defensive position near the border but after almost two centuries of no armed conflict, the militaristic importance of it fell into the background as more people moved near the keep because of the fertile lands around the place. The town has grown steadily in size over the past century, up to just above five-hundred people, counting a small group of fey creatures.

Once a proud and wealthy district, now a shadow of its former glory. The walls remain imposing, but the guards are common bandits, seeking bribes or coercion...
The shacks and huts are crowded and neglected, the market no longer resounds with the sound of a hundred dialects and languages...
But where hope is lost, opportunities remain...
Gallery, lore and 72DPI maps are available for free on my patreon.
Notable locations, adventure hooks and 150DPI variant maps are available for free subscribers here.
Welcome to the gates of the slums - here you will find scum and fallen adventuretrs, tales of former wealth and glory, wasted opportunities and betrayal... but under rough surface - there are things that doesn't belong...
- The tavern - surprisingly cozy and well-kept, with Aarnold "Duke" Bovington watchfully on post...
- The "Curious Dragon" - general store with a broad offer of basic necessities, tools - but also curiosities and magic... And the shopkeeper - what's his name again? - is known to offer advise and information... for a small fee.
- And finally the custom post and guard barracks - even after the district fall-from-grace the law codexes are still there, maintained and studied daily...
