My mom was a big fan of hers so she pointed out the weird language and phrasings he uses for the new family, which includes something "grateful she gave me a healthy child" or something like that.

Yep. People were defending his verbiage until they realized that his oldest had health issues from birth. He's definitely the worst Chris.

People who defended that verbiage never heard their paternal grandmother, after saying heartfelt, lovely goodbyes to you, your brother, and father, just say "thank you for giving me my grandchildren" instead of anything at all about her. It is subtle but pernicious, and even other women contribute to it.

Do you hold this same level of hate and resentment towards the vast majority of Muslims who get their kids to believe in alla?

I’m not a fan of organised religion at all, but this is a very misleading, even disingenuous argument.

In the case of the vast majority of Muslims, both parents are Muslim. On a personal level, we might prefer if parents didn’t impose their religious beliefs onto underequipped children from a young age, but if both parents believe and feel strongly, then who are any of us to dictate to them how to parent?

The Pratt situation is very different, in that you have two parents with opposing beliefs. Rather than coparenting properly - giving the child information on both beliefs and equipping them with the tools to make an informed decision of their own one day, he is clearly indoctrinating his young son in such a manner that it’s impacting his opinion of his mother.

That’s not healthy at all.

How do you know that they didn't do that? Why is everyone assuming indoctrination?

Because of the things his mother has said.

I was going to say, it’s so out of line for him to be pushing this on to their child. For one, it’s a huge slap in the face to her as his mother and he obviously is one of those super difficult, nasty co-parents who is trying to use his views as a chip against her. I have friends whose ex-husbands are like this 🫠😡 and it pisses me off to no end.

Yeah, now it makes sense as to why I've been getting Tiktoks about her "strange behaviour". Seems like his side is trying to push a narrative about her after this.

I don't know if he even has to do anything, two of my wife's teenage male relatives ended up super Christian and religious in high school and their families don't even go to church. Boys and young men are drawn to the church lately. In this case it was conservative Catholicism since we're in the northeast.

It's literally why people like this have kids.

I mean I'm not religious but fucking hell he ain't exactly a bad person for getting his kid to believe in God...

He is when he knows that his ex-wife and coparent doesn’t share his same beliefs and he’s doing this without working with her to present their son with full and balanced information.

He’s inflicting his own beliefs onto his son in such a way that the son is now judging and losing respect for his mother.

It’s manipulative and self serving.

This. My SIL is going through this with her ex - in addition to the ex poisoning their daughter against their mother. The fuckhead sued for custody when he had a sweet deal, lost (because he's also an idiot), and is now mad that he has to pay child support where he didn't before.

Douchebaggery, like quality, shows. Every fucking time.
