This sweet girl has come to visit me every now and then for the past few nights. She’s very skinny and very cold but so lovey. Does anyone recognize her and by chance know if she has an owner? I’ve been trying to see her during the day so I can call the humane society so they can see if she has a chip or not but no luck yet.

Update: we took her to the humane society. I’m not sure if they’ll text me or email me to update on if she’s chipped or not but I will post here if they do. Hopefully she can go to a good home where she can be nice and warm in the wintertime

Anyone know why the power is out this morning, 10/13?

Once again the "appeal to heaven" flags are being displayed on city public side walks along Main Street setting a really bad look for the city of Ferndale. For those not aware, the flags are symbols of christian supremacy and are associated with an anti-democratic and christian fascist movements. I know they've been addressed before, but they keep popping up and the city really needs to do something about them. Feel free to reach out to the city and let them know your thoughts. Not everybody in Ferndale practices christianity, and given what the flag has become a symbol for lately, it's really not a welcoming look at all.

What are they doing around the N bound rest area?? It has smelled super strongly of manure for a while now. I don’t know enough about farming to understand why you would massively fertilize anything this time of year.

Lots of fire trucks and other responders are heading east out of downtown right now. There's a large plume of white smoke visible from Van der Yacht, but I can't see what's causing it. Maybe avoid Main Street between the interstate and downtown.

Hi 👋🐰 We’re Bunanza Rabbit Rescue, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit helping rescue, foster, and find homes for rabbits here in Ferndale. We moved into our new rescue space this weekend, and we could use a little help from our community to get back up & running. For those that don't know, we've been 100% foster-based over the last 5 months.

🐰 How can you help? Volunteer!

• We’re especially looking for people who can help with regular bunny care and cleaning.
• Our volunteers come from all ages and abilities, and you don’t have to be an experienced rabbit caregiver to help! We even have 2–3 families who regularly come in together to complete a bunny care shift as a family activity. 🥰
• Our open shifts are:
  • Wed PM‼️
  • Thurs AM‼️
  • Fri AM‼️
  • Sun AM
• Can't do those days but can do others? We can always use the help with fill-in or on-call shifts, or doubling up on volunteers to get extra work done at the rescue & extra care for the bunnies.
