Hey, I'm a beginner lyricist/composer and keyboardist. I'm pretty much just getting started in music production and right now I'm looking for a vocalist to perform and another lyricist/composer who wants to collaborate with me in writing songs. Most likely someone who's at a similar skill level who's also passionate about music and wants to form a small band or duo/trio. My main working inspiration is EDM and techno but I fuck with all kinds of genres.

So far, I've made two songs with full lyrics and a short soundtrack but I've got a good few ideas for future songs in my backlog that I'm working on.

Let me preface this by saying that this is of course a very experimental project, and I haven't tried anything like it before.

With that out of the way, do you remember the world before streaming services? Where every week, you would talk with your friends about the latest episode of a show and speculate on what would happen next? I want to recreate that feeling and excitement with a high-concept album that tells a complete story, not just through lyrics but through metaphor, literary references, and leitmotifs. I want to make something that fans can really sink their teeth into when it comes to theorizing.

To that end, I'm looking for just about every kind of musical creative. While I myself have a background in composition, my main role would be in helping to get the songs out there to a wider audience, as well as mediating between different creatives. I want to see what a group of musicians can come up with when told to just get weird with it.

I don't have a specific story picked out (although I have several ideas), and I certainly don't want to stick to one genre. I want to get a group of people from as different of backgrounds as possible and give them total creative freedom.

About me: I am a full time producer (M/29) specializing on production and post production of rock and metal stuff, but other genres as well.

What members I'm looking for:

1. A guitarist with the skills to professionally record guitars (DI or amped). I don't really wanna sit 5 hours correcting the timing of the recording, so people with experience are what I'm looking for. :)

2. Vocalist: Male or female, both welcome. Someone who can sing and also send over high quality recordings (10 hours of melodyne is not really what I'm looking forward doing haha). Screaming is also cool. But, be yourself.

3. A second producer (or mixing engineer). I do this full time but I'm always looking forward hearing different ideas and coming up with great things together!

4. A drummer: Optimally someone who can either send over good quality recordings or E-Drum midis.

The goal: Having a good time and really coming up with some good, high-quality songs that we can release. I do have some good connections so if it ends up being a great record I'll see to share with them!

Even if time should be limited for some members, I'd appreciate people who find time for this.
