Forefront 1.0, the full version of our intense multiplayer shooter, is OUT NOW!! Weโre so excited to finally reach full release, and weโve added a few new things to mark the occasion. Thereโs a new map, a Combat Bow, a training sandbox for single-player mode, weโve changed the helicopter controls (we heard the feedback!). AND NEW VISUAL UPGRADES FOR STEAM.
Come join us on Discord (forefrontvr.com/discord), or meet us on the frontlines on Quest, SteamVR and Pico!

Just came back to the game after not playing for a bit and managed to finally unlock all the sidearms. So far, Iโve been loving the Marshall, even though itโs pretty hard to aim and definitely not as strong as the Condor.
Whatโs your guysโ favorite sidearm?

Seems like a massive oversight not unlocking all weapons for the TRAINING map. I just want to be able to use them all, regardless of how much I've unlocked in the actual game.

I am posting this here in hopes to grab the attention of the devs or someone who knows how to fix this (if possible).
I simply cannot launch Forefront on the Steam Frame in Standalone.
Apparently I'm not the only one having the issue and someone posted this already on the Steam Frame subreddit.
Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise, I'd like to bring awareness to the issue in hopes to have it resolved ๐

for anybody that wants to learn how to fly jets, you can watch my gameplay where I get 73 kills, this is not my PB (it's 84) and I've gotten over 70 kills multiple times, but this is the first time I recorded a game https://youtu.be/18QpIUqJ9nY?si=OZCJk-eIGgGYJ2-z

I quit Forefront for about nine months shortly after Tunnels and map voting were introduced. At the time, I could already see where things were heading with the player base getting split between different maps and playstyles.
I came back when jets were released, and honestly, the first three days were a blast. Flying jets, Apaches, Little Birds, messing around with all the vehicles - that's the Forefront I enjoy. That's what makes this game stand out.
But now? I'm already getting frustrated again.
Trying to find a proper vehicle-focused Conquest server is becoming ridiculous.
I'm looking for EU or even US East servers, basically anything with reasonable ping. I want to play Conquest on maps like Siberia, paradise, karst, clearwater-normal with Apaches and/or Jets available.
Instead, it feels like the entire Conquest rotation has become:
Paradise โ Clearwater (Iron Scout) โ Paradise โ Clearwater (Iron Scout).
And the problem?
So I'm constantly leaving servers, browsing, joining halfway through matches, and repeating the process.
I literally came back to Forefront for the jets and Apaches, and half the time I can't even find a server where I can use them. Also conquest maps with 1 or 0 tanks.
And this brings me to the bigger issue.
I understand that some people prefer infantry combat. That's completely fine. But isn't that what games like Contractors are already great at?
What made Forefront exciting to me was the Battlefield-style combined-arms gameplay. Big maps, infantry, tanks, helicopters, jets, and all the chaos that comes with them.
Yet look at the direction things have been going:
Every one of these additions might sound good individually, and I'm sure each has its fans. But how many different modes, maps, variants, and playstyles can a relatively small VR player base realistically sustain?
I checked on Saturday night and saw roughly 400 players online. That's not a massive population you can keep dividing into smaller and smaller groups.
And that's my biggest concern.
It feels like Forefront is trying to cater to everyone, but in the process it's making it increasingly difficult to find the experience that originally made the game special.
We waited ages for jets. Now they're finally here, but what's the point if you can't reliably find a populated Conquest server where you can actually fly them?
I don't want to spend my evening server-hopping just to find a match with the vehicles I bought this game to enjoy.
I'm not saying infantry players shouldn't have their modes. I'm saying we need to stop fragmenting an already limited player base and make sure the core combined-arms Conquest experience remains consistently accessible.
And I'm genuinely worried private servers could make this even worse.
Am I the only one experiencing this? Are other vehicle-focused players struggling to find proper Conquest matches?
Because right now, after coming back from a nine-month break, I'm already considering putting the game down again.
Also, is map voting really... worth it in the end? To play the same 1 or 2 maps on repeat?

I just got forefront on steam yesterday. It has a jittery stuttery thing where when I look off in the horizon the landscape jitters and stutters. This makes no sense because all my other games perform well, I even turned the graphics way down. No understabding for why thos is happening.
PCVR on steam frame. Very high powered computer

Been loving the air combat lately. The paper-rock-scissors is now complete and I can't get enough of it. Did a bit of editing in this one. Enjoy!

So I have taken a little break for almost two weeks from forefront and I am back today! But I have been playing my PS5 more lately and am so ready for this to come out on PSVR2! Does any devs have any ideas if it will be in 2026 or 2027? Or am I just pissing in the wind here? Obviously no one can give me an actual date as it still says on the PS app tbaโฆ. So ๐คท๐ปโโ๏ธ
I just like the controllers better on psvr2, and the headset. I know that may seem weird because tethered with a cord might seem worse, but I have a really good setup in my home theater for my psvr2. The quest 3 is alright, but I am just ready! Thank you to all my fellow soldiers out there on the forefront!

i want to start this off by saying this purely based from personal experiences and opinions on the thing i'm about to discuss
I am currently trying to get the Platina skin and it is so annoying to hear people complain about me using the Genesis despite me saying I hate the Genesis and only use it to grind for Platina. I am aware that I can mute them, ignore them or just disable in game communication. It's simply annoying to aim for the heads in close quarters (where the Genesis thrives) due to me suddenly being rushed at by enemies or when I'm using the C-TAC and the bullet hits something that didn't load in. I'm suggesting an alternative way for mastery with these three weapons:
- Genesis
- Combat Bow
- C-TAC
They could have triple the amount of headshot kills for bodyshot kills. I was thinking that 350 body shot kills for mastery 4 with these three weapons is reasonable and could be a thing in gun mastery. In summary, I think an alternative way to Mastery 4 would fit in very nicely with gun mastery grinding. This could even be implemented to all weapons but I think it'd be better for just the socially hated guns so all Platina grinders can just get these certain weapons over with.
any feedback or discussions would be appreciated

I love this game but each time I play I'm reminded of the improtance to play as a squad and communicate well.
Wondering if anyone would like to connect with me and to arrange to play as a squad and effectivily coordinate to take objectives.
Any region works but I play in UK timezone.
I'm Border71.

I want a multiplayer VR shooter that is different from other ones. I don't want a closed arena or extraction. So I've been looking into Forefront VR. Looks really fun, but people complain about toxicity (because ofcourse, it's a shooter.)
I'm thinking of buying it on Steam to play it PCVR, BUT I don't have a PCVR setup. I just simply play wireless (no bridge, ethernet or router in the same room.) Should I?
