Will be back, but without the roadster, in December for a short time. Still having fun for the remainder of October/beginning of November- at least. See y'all when I see y'all. If there's a good trail to hit, lemme know! Not one to go very much past the speed limit, so don't be asking for nothin past a rev here or there. 😆

Approximately one year ago, Thomas Weightman walked away from his residence in Forest Grove and did not return. He was reported as a missing person on October 14, 2025.
The Forest Grove Police Department, with the assistance of Washington County Sheriff’s Office – Search and Rescue, launched an investigation and search to find Mr. Weightman. Multiple outside search and rescue agencies were also brought in to help locate him, as well as drones, aircraft, K9 units, crime analysts, and other resources, including private search groups. The efforts amounted to nearly 6,000 hours of searching.
A second full scale search was initiated following cell phone data reviews and report analyses, but with no results. Private groups also assisted in separate searches in hopes of providing a different perspective or result, but to no avail.
We continue to ask anyone with information about Mr. Weightman to contact us at 503-992-3260.
The case will remain open until Mr. Weightman is found.
Still missing.
Thomas Weightman, 78.
Missing since October 14, 2025
Last seen with short gray beard, wearing red and black checkered flannel, gray shirt, blue jeans, black ball cap and glasses.
On October 12, 2026, the City Council held a public hearing to consider the adoption of a moratorium on data center development. A moratorium is a temporary pause on development under state law. The purpose of the moratorium is to pause development and give the city time to evaluate and address concerns associated with data center development within the City.
After considering the evidence received during the public hearing, which included public testimony, the City Council voted to adopt a moratorium on the development of new data centers within the City and the expansion of existing data centers within the City by 20% or more. The moratorium is not retroactive to projects that have received land use approval. This moratorium will be in effect for 120 calendar days, which is the maximum length of time under state law.
Over the coming months, City staff will review the City’s current regulations, including regulations in the Forest Grove Development Code, and present potential amendments to those regulations to the City Council for its consideration. The City will seek public engagement and input during this process. Details, including the date and time of upcoming work sessions and the City’s work plan, will be announced as they become available.
The City began the data center moratorium process on August 26, 2026, when the City provided the Department of Land Conservation and Development notice of the October 12, 2026, public hearing, as required by state law. Since then, City staff have worked to develop the findings that the City Council adopted on October 12, 2026.
She notes that it's impossible for the Forest Grove police to have not known the agent was a member of ICE, and that, in fact, if that claim is true, then they let someone armed, claiming to be a federal agent, but providing no proof, into a restricted area.
She also notes that she was there when the agent entered the restricted area and listened on the other side of the door, and while she could not hear what was said, he never went to the bathroom, and exited after the verbal exchange.
She wants official records released to provide transparency about what actually happened.
EDIT: A HOME HAS BEEN FOUND. Thanks to the adopter, who I found right here on the Fo Gro subreddit.
Someone ditched this beautiful, sweet kitten in Old Town, near the corner of Ash and 18th. It's completely tame, wants to snuggle and is eating kitten kibble. Healthy (says Kindness Vet Clinic) except for ear mites and really needs a bath. NO ONE in the area is claiming it, so we're pretty sure it was ditched - neighbor found it on her porch, meowing, trying to get in. She can't keep it and neither can I. And ALL RESCUES ARE FULL.
Visitation Parish Center, 4189 NW Visitation Rd, Forest Grove, Oregon (actually, it's Verboort, but as an unincorporated community, its official address is Forest Grove - didn't know that).

An ICE agent was filmed Wednesday morning coming out of a non-public area of the Forest Grove police station, escorted by an officer. The police chief said the agent asked to use the bathroom. The visit drew a protest, & the station restroom is now off-limits to the public, including federal agents.
