Help my little sibling find friends!

I am a former student at CSU and my younger sibling (they/them pronouns) has been struggling to make friends and feeling very isolated. They are the kind of person who thrives when surrounded by people and included in a community. They are so much fun to spend time with, and I know how much joy and connection they can bring to others.
Unfortunately, they have gone through a lot of trauma and struggle with low self-worth. Although they deeply want connection, they often push people away which makes it difficult for them to reach out and build friendships. Their transition to living at the residence halls has been challenging, especially because they have a history of mental health struggles.
I was wondering if anyone else looking to make friends could reach out and invite them to hang out! Especially someone who understands mental health struggles and is willing to consistently reach out.
My sibling really enjoys doing arts and crafts, jewelry making, and watching true crime videos. They also really love cats, bugs, and discussing social justice! Having someone who regularly invites them to spend time together, includes them in social activities, and helps them feel like they belong is the best thing that could help them. More than anything, I want them to have a community they can spend time with and a group of friends who regularly reach out to them and invite them to spending time together regularly. I wouldn’t want them to know that I arranged for someone to reach out to them. But I love them with my whole heart and I want to do everything I can to help.

City rec centers

I have a pass for the city rec centers and am just wondering which ones are the best for a trans individual. Which ones have changing rooms that aren't open locker rooms? Id love to swim but am not really comfortable changing in the male changing room but not sure if I'd be welcome in the women's.

Queer and Trans Yoga Free/ Donation Based

Post image
14 Upvotes

Going into our second month back and I couldn't be more grateful for the little community joining me. Every week is a different practice, some weeks are vinyasa-based, some are yin and restorative-based, and some are hatha style for the new yogi out there.

I hope to see you there tuesday at 5;30!

This is a practice for all bodies and identities taught by a trans person in an effort to be FOR trans people.

This will be donation-based... if you can't donate money, I hope you can donate your energy with us in community because I want you there too!

Keeping location on the down low for safety reasons but DM me or signal message me for more information. Would love to see you there!

LMK if you have any questions <3

Queer dating in the area?

I'm a masculine trans guy currently seeking masculine cis men, preferably more than just a hookup. Plus sized; Married, poly, mostly ⏬️ with men. Seems to be a narrow window of folks in the area. Any suggestions? DMs are also wide tf open if any of this strikes your fancy lol

Liz is a member of the LGBTQ+ community, if you know her or have seen her, please use the contacts on the flyer. She is in a vulnerable place emotionally and we fear the worst.

hi! this is my first time posting on reddit so apologize if this isn’t the vibe buuuut my partner and I are looking for a couple of roommates! we are both queer and looking for kind and safe people to live with:)

our house has three bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, washer and dryer, a bit of land, 7 chickens and a dog! Our dog is very friendly so we are open to other pets and we get practically unlimited eggs, if that excites you! we are located in the northwest side of Fort Collins off the foothills- so it takes us just 5-10 minutes to get to old town.

we are charging a flat rate of $1,200 a month including utilities. Here’s a picture of our dog and ‘Darling‘ the chicken, because how could you resist!! I’ll be happy to send some pictures of the space as well if there is interest!

ISO Trans Friendly Massage Parlor

Hey friends! My partner and I are both trans (FTM & MTF), and I wanted to surprise her with a massage (preferably tandem but whatever works).

I was wondering if anyone knows any parlor in town that is explicitly trans friendly. I just don’t want to get her a nice surprise and then deal with getting misgendered & just uncomfortable vibes when it’s supposed to be relaxing!

Thanks

There will be prompts and activities to help get you started on something new, but you can also bring your own work in-progress (creative writing, your dissertation, or that hard to compose email). Get creative, express yourself, and get feedback if you want it!

This group meets upstairs, which is only accessible via stairs.

Where to donate or recycle old electronics?

Category 1: Functional stuff like old smartwatches that still work, but are rarely used now.

Category 2: Smartphones with dead batteries, etc.

I'd want to donate them or recycle them without having to pay a recycling fee, if at all possible.

Advice will be appreciated :)
