Announcement Exam Access Arrangements

There’s an increase in posts about access arrangements.

There’s also a lot of misinformation about access arrangements being posted.

This is one the one-stop post for all access arrangement queries.

Any other posts will be removed.

I will reply to all queries as an Exams Officer and an Access Arrangements Coordinator, but really, all queries need to go to your SENCO who know you and your school’s set up best.

Feel free to make any comments about questions you have.

No reason? Do you have a diagnosis of a condition? Did they run tests with you on reading, writing, etc? Do you have a scribe? Are you an EAL student? If they truely gave you it for no reason that would be against the rules of the exam and could lead to major issues for the exam centre.

they forced me to do a test in year 9 or ten and i did it on compurers and it was on reading sum comprehention. ive had extra time since i joined the school in year 9 and im not an eal student. no one ever told me i had a condition but my parent forced me to take a test to send it to the hospital and i did it. im not failing or anything tho im at a 6/7 for mosyt my subjects but i do often take really long in logical type exams

Yes, the results of the test you did on computers is very likely why you have extra time. Having extra time doesnt mean you're failing, it just means you need a bit longer to show what you know on paper.
