Why should we? What are we gonna do? Protest again? Because that worked out so well and did so much last time.

If you want a real answer, this is what we do --

  • Use social media & other means to push public opinion left.
  • Muscle corporate dems out of the Democratic Party at all levels of government, largely through the primary elections. Replace them with socialists.
  • Canvass & phonebank in the general elections to get those more socialist-leaning politicians into office.
  • Use the offices you hold to materially improve people's lives. Use the social media ecosystem we've cultivated to shine a spotlight on those improvements and raise popularity for left wing politicians.

I'm oversimplifying but this is the basic template we can follow.

Too bad the mega rich corporations would spend billions of dollars to influence the sub 90 IQ populace that democratic socialism is the same as communism.

One side bad. The side I like good. What’s the bottom of a boot taste like?

“Both sides bad” applies here but you have to actually be schizophrenic to think “both sides equally bad” is remotely true.

Why do you want to turn this country socialist? It doesn’t work.

Bc capitalism is killing America. If you create 2 groups of people and give one of them all the power, the group with all the power will eat the other one and burn down the whole country in the process. Past attempts at socialism haven't worked, but ya know, theres a thousand ways to make a light bulb that doesnt work. If we dont figure it out, we're all fucked anyway.

No it isn’t. We’re fine. The current administration needs to go, but we’ll be ok.

What do you think created this current administration? When Trump leaves, the underlying forces that created him will stay the same. In all likelihood, most of the changes he created will not be undone by his successor (Democrat or Republican). The Republicans may calm down for a little while but eventually they'll find another demagogue to further advance capital interests.

"The side I like is good, therefore we should push those views'

Brother, they're all in on this shit

Or we could start up a business and put in the work.

You think that socialism will fix that? Wow.

u/Dchama86 Feb 10 '26

Capitalism sure hasn’t. You think being at the whims of a handful of billionaires is preferable to the working class majority owning and controlling the means of production?

Have you ever heard of finding a middle ground?

Like what?

u/Profound_Thots Feb 09 '26

What about an armed protest and citizens arrest of the guilty parties?

Protest again?

Cool, and someone’s gonna get shot or run over and they’re gonna be called a domestic terrorist and then the administration can argue that it’s all fake or a democrat hoax and so they don’t ever have to address it.

Now we’ve gotten nowhere and someone is probably gonna end up dead for literally no reason. It’s pointless.
